Our winter train ride adventure from Kingston to Quebec City via Montreal with Via Rail. With winter adventures on our mind we boarded a train from Kingston to Quebec City. This being our first winter trip we couldn't stop admiring the snow covered scenery out the window. After transferring trains we began the leg to Quebec City. What would a trip of ours be like without a little goofing off. The truth is we haven't traveled much in recent months and we were beyond excited to be heading somewhere. After transferring trains we began the leg to Quebec City. As many of you may already know, train travel is our preferred method of transportation. All snug and warm we could admire this winter wonderland without feeling the slightest bit cold. The scenery started to shift from farmland to forests and mountains. As the sun started to set we were mere minutes away from Quebec City with thoughts of Winter Carnival on our mind. This is part of our Travel in Canada series. We're making a series of videos showcasing Canadian culture, Canadian arts, Canadian foods, Canadian religion, Canadian cuisine and Canadian people. I did the drive from Burlington to Quebec City and back in Feb 2012. It was a great drive. Roads were in good shape both ways. It is a very scenic drive. It can be confusing at times navigating the highways in Montreal with sudden short notices of where you need to be regarding HWY 20 East to Quebec City. I found myself at times having to quickly get to either the far left or far right lane to quickly exit at various points in Montreal. Driving around Quebec City was fine with a road map but navigating the city of Montreal with a family a GPS is a must.

+Tom Kemble Thank you! It's the best way to experience a country if time is not a constraint.
