Buy whatever you like from Tricker’s, Church’s or Crockett & Jones and I promise you, you will not look back. Just make sure they fit well.

Take your Loake boots into a Loake store. They’ll polish those marks out of the leather for free
jeremy emilio (2 months ago)
Your shoes need conditioning and polishing!
Styled (2 months ago)
They do!

Nice collection. I don't own any Chelsea boots though.

Out of your collection, some shoes/ boots I've invested in are: Captoe boots. Something like the Red Wing Iron rangers, a similar style of boot, but can be found for less. As well as brogue boots, perfect for the winter when it's muddy/ raining but you still want to dress up. Leather penny loafers, my go to summer dress shoe. I've got a pair from Bruno Magli that I've had for years. Chukkas. Again a perfect versatile boot that can be dressed up or down. I'm lumping in dessert boots as they're similar to chukka boots. Suede bucks. I don't see them as frequently in the U.K I think Topman do them, but I've got a pair from them in the past, seems like a good summer staple smart casual shoe. Lastly, I'm personally on the hunt for some knit sneakers for summer. Something a bit more breathable and relaxed for casual summer gatherings.

What do you think of the loafers by the company Jay and Butler?
ChiTownXRing (4 months ago)
You need to look at Magnanni and Too Boot New York for a modern style shoe. But you all ready knew that and I thought I would just take the bait..
Yobo Lion (4 months ago)
Get some Common Projects Achilles heal for a white sneaker that has a smart enough non chunky profile to work with a blazer and smart trousers.
Yobo Lion (4 months ago)
Crockett and Jones make the best value shoes for each pound spent. Edward Green is better but they are twice as expensive. Shoes under the C&J quality will look shit in a short space of time.

Tan brogues are an absolute essential and look fantastic with jeans. Charles Tyrwhitt shoes are usually made by other manufacturers such as Loake. My next pair of shoes will probably be black suede Chelsea's for the exact reason you explained. Matching smart but casual shoes with black jeans is hard and they work well. I love my classic white / green Stan Smith's.

Glad you're doing style videos again. Keep going with the depression and self improvement videos too. Both have their place.
Styled (4 months ago)
Awesome, yeah that reinforces my decision to go for Charles Tyrwhitt then! :) Thank you for watching as always!

Guess what 3 boots I have in my collection Paul?? You guessed it.. CHELSEA! Lol. I have many myself but I love the esthetic. Nice collection my friend. Btw, how does a thick sneaker rip like that?? Lol
EscobarStyle (4 months ago)
Paul McGregor Lol!! Wow
Styled (4 months ago)
Haha, thanks man! That rip comes from not untying your laces lol

Leather shoes need a lick of polish/mink oil there mate...:P...great vid as usual Paul. Suggestions: White shoes - Mark Nason (affordable), Axel Arigato/Common Projects (expensive); Runaround shoes: New Balance Fresh Foam/Asics Gel3; New style for you: Converse AllStar/TOMS
Styled (4 months ago)
Haha they do right! Awesome suggestions

I would suggest a shoe care routine. Be mindful that shoes are the only part of your outfit that touches the ground. Shoes or boots are like Tyres on a vehicle. It is the only part of the vehicle that makes contact with the road. Care for them and your outfit automatically looks polished (no pun intended). Also I believe shoes like watches, bracelets and necklaces are great accessories, all of which enhance your extremities being your hands, feet and neck. Making sure that the cuffs of your shirts, pants and collars are tapered ,hemmed and clean to show of these beautiful pieces. I am a big fan of Chelsea and brogue boots as I believe they versatile with smart casual as well as casual wear. I believe a elegant formal boot could even be worn to a formal event with a suit provided that the boot has a high polished shine to it.

Great advice, I definitely need to up my shoe care routine!

How on earth do you wear suede boots in wet England?
_Aqeel _B (4 months ago)
Oh suede’s are good but in my opinion, they are a little are high in maintenance
Styled (4 months ago)
Haha, only when it doesn't rain!
Rob M (4 months ago)
Nice black chelsea boots good purchase . Really like the brown loafers too .
Styled (4 months ago)
Yeah my two favourites as well at the mo!
jeff anco (4 months ago)
You need some Chukka boots! I feel like a sleek pair of leather chukkas are extremely versatile. I just got a pair of Oak Street Bootmakers and I literally wore them laying on the couch so I could look at them. Not really proud of that but it is what it is...
Styled (4 months ago)
Yeah I've never been a Chukka guy, but going to look at getting a pair maybe.
_Aqeel _B (4 months ago)
I love Chelsea boots my all time fave, esp in brown. For the summer I’m wearing white trainers from river island & driving shoes. I recommend driving shoes for summer in brown or tan

Your motivation video really helped me, thanks. Love this blend between psychology and style!
Styled (4 months ago)
Ah thank you!
M A (4 months ago)
I definitely think you should upgrade your loafer collection. Use Jason Markk to clean the white sneakers
Styled (4 months ago)
Will check it out!
Mar K (4 months ago)
Buy black lace up boots.
Styled (4 months ago)
I don't think I'd wear them that often to be honest! Boots (apart from Chelsea boots lol) have never really been my thing.
Robert Sweeney (4 months ago)
How about a pair of wholecut plain toe formal dress shoes. These would be a perfect addition when you can't wear a boot.
Styled (4 months ago)
Love that idea! Appreciate the comment Robert
Christy Mc Laughlin (4 months ago)
I can buy shirts , t shirts and trousers all day long but have trouble with footwear. Pure white converse seems to work with everything.
Jon Stern (4 months ago)
Paul McGregor I'm a slim guy like yourself and find Charles Tyrwhitt extra slim and TM Lewin "Fitted" shirts fit me pretty well.
Styled (4 months ago)
They do! Shoes are easy, shirts and trousers I find hard (due to fit being so important)
Jon Stern (4 months ago)
Nice shoes. I like your Italian loafers. I reckon you could do with a few brown dress shoes of various types or shades. Since you (like me) like Loakes, they do some interesting styles, (some with a bit more of a modern edgy shape) for not a ridiculous price. Barkers similarly. For way out style Jeffery West can be interesting though some of the ones I'm seeing now look a bit more cheap and garish than ones from a few years ago (Ive never owned any). And keep an eye out on a certain well known discount/remainders chain. I've a lot of Loakes and Barkers purchased from £30-£80 there.
Jon Stern (4 months ago)
Paul McGregor You just need to keep an eye out. Not there all the time but come in now and then
Styled (4 months ago)
Never knew TK Maxx sold Loake & Barker! Will pop in tomorrow!
Jon Stern (4 months ago)
Paul McGregor TK Maxx. Living in London I have many branches to choose from and always go in when I pass one. Loake and Barkers tend to be priced at £80-100 initially but I've bought as low as £30 when they don't sell and are reduced. I love decent shoes and now have a pretty sizeable collection most of which do get used
Styled (4 months ago)
I like the loafers too! Love Barker shoes too, next on the list for sure. What chain is that? Thanks for your feedback Jon!
Good day, Paul! Thanks for nice video. What about to make video about good shoe carry? May be you'll up your shoe carry game with us ?)) I think your videos have to be more popular , they are so quality
Styled (4 months ago)
Ah thank you! Noted on the new idea for the video.
Edygma (4 months ago)
Nice video! How is your shoe care game? Do you use shoe trees? Do you polish and nourish them?
Rupan limbu (4 months ago)
M A thank you buddy
M A (4 months ago)
Rupan limbu my encouragements to you is to not buy into a particular height for certain types of clothing or shoes. You wear what defines your style and leave it at that. Don’t be a textbook guy who has to follow rules. That isn’t style that’s a set of social norms.
Rupan limbu (4 months ago)
I am wondering,short people can wear Chelsea boots???I mean 5'4 or 5'5???
M A (4 months ago)
As for shoe care, every shoe I own, even sneakers, have a shoe tree. I would recommend buying saddle soap to clean and using the polish that each company provides for their shoes. Any horse brush will do the job.
Styled (4 months ago)
I agree with you :)
Steven Yolo (4 months ago)
First woohooo, my favorite is the loafers!!!!!
Styled (4 months ago)
I'm digging them too right now! Thanks for watching Steven
Styled (4 months ago)
Enjoyed making this! Now to put all the shoes back! LOL. What should I add to my collection?
Mohan (4 months ago)
Add few more sneakers like Nike Benassi shoes, also running shoes like Dart 12,13. You look so fit I thought vid would contain more sneakers :) . anyways You have good collection ;) I have more of oxford variants, You inspire me to add monk strap. Thanks for the video...
