You can tell it's an EMD because everything in the cab is rattling

It's a GE. Sounds like either a Dash 8 wide cab or some of NS's older Dash 9 units. Not only that but you can hear the steel bell that's common on GE units and the chugging sound of a GE. Although, I do have to admit that it sounds squeaky and rattly inside the cab.

Reminds me of my home turf, the Altoona-Johnstown route, all except we have to usually have a snow plow go around the horseshoe curve every damn day because it gets blown shut from drifting and the fact that you have to resand on your return trips most of the time ;/ steel on steel is bad enough but with ice.......

Lucky man.

Nice. Do not zoom down the track. Zoom distorts speed appearance. Zoom to show distant detail is fine. Does snow encourage wheels to slip? Thank you.

I can tell that's a former N&W line by the remaining distinctive power poles. I've seen those same poles in the Burkeville, VA area and on the Shenandoah line running south out of Hagerstown, MD.

@Southerntreatment Air. I used to iive in upstate NY SO miss the adirondacks..
very cool! Do you wipers run by air or are they electronic? I am a student trainman on the Adirondack Scenic Railroad. Being in the cab of an RS18 was sweet- maybe one day in a SD70M-2?! LOL Going for a career as a freight conductor.
