How To Get Rid Of SKINNY LEGS - Double Your Leg Workouts!

Does your upper body respond better than your lower body? Pretty much everyone who has been working out for any length of time will notice that certain body parts respond better than others. And this can vary for everyone. Some guys may have skinny legs, others may have skinny arms, and others may have small pecs, etc. A lot of It just comes down to your genetics. But sometimes it can be caused from poor training habits. Very often guys start working out to build up the show off muscles of their chest and arms, while ignoring their legs... BIG MISTAKE! This will cause your legs to look skinny and out of proportion compared to your upper body. And rather than looking good for having a big upper body, you'll look weird for having small chicken legs. When you have skinny legs you need to prioritize them in your workouts. The best way to build up your legs fast is to double up on your leg workouts. Cut back on the frequency of your upper body training and increase the frequency of your lower body training. So for example, if your upper body is strong and well developed, than only train your upper body muscles once a week. But do 2 leg workouts per week. This will prioritize your lower body development and over time it will help to create a more balanced and proportional physique. You can use this tip for pretty much any muscle group that you are struggling to develop. Be it arms, legs, chest, back, shoulders, etc. Double up on the workouts for your weaker muscle group and cut back on the workouts for your stronger muscle groups. This can go a long way to helping correct the problem, but realize that in some cases regardless of how hard you train a stubborn body part, it may always lag behind in development compared to your well developed body parts. look i have the same issue but maybe different IDK but my calves and other part of the leg are working well but when you look at me face to face you see my body are in good shape but my front leg seem to be small.

I hate my legs, they are powerful but very very skinny like a cyclist legs but i have an almost gymnasts top half, i look stupid and i have ALWAYS worked on my legs since i was young (i used to live on 13th floor and i used to WALK up to my home every day for years), i have exersized the shit out of my legs but they never get any bigger, just more muscle mass and more powerful :(

Following a back injury and damaged nerves my left calf muscle wasted away and it is now so weak I cannot lift my heel off the ground when standing. The only way I can work my calf in the conventional way it is to stand in a swimming pool and let the buoyancy of the water reduce my overall body weight. Can you suggest any exercises I can use at home without going to the pool. Any advice would be very much appreciated Peter Hutchinson

For the skinny folks,up you're calories.eat everything you can get your hands on.for skinny legs increase the volume of the training sessions.instead of 3×15 try 5×15 heavy. Try working the legs 3×week rest upper body.always take in more calories bc intense leg work burns up calories.good luck

That's not the way it is try BFR Taring for your arms you will be surprised how quickly they grow also for the skinny leg guy you were just advising I had extremely skinny legs. I also have bad Airborne Knees The lighter weight I use on my quads and hamstrings have made my legs and calves grow like crazy...

best thing without a gym ive found for skinny calves is donkey calf raises standing on one leg instead of two. it loads the one calf up heavy so you can get to it better, and puts a deeper stretch on the downward by the weight of your body. I use a park beach to lean over with my upper body while having toes over the concrete slab with heels hanging off , I concentrate on the pump . and switch to two legs when I get fatigued or to switch it up , and then double the reps , with short rests between sets. if you concentrate on the pump not the size of your legs , keeping an eye on that as the constant focus , every day or six days a week , you can notice a change as the pumps add up over time. ive tried lots this is working for me now.

Lee's suggestion on lacking body parts twice a week is 100% correct. I myself was having the same issue with legs falling behind the growth of my upper body so I started doing legs twice a week which now my legs are growing FINNALY. Nothing wrong with working out 6 or 7 days a week but be smart about it. On both leg days my upper body is resting so 6 days a week is paying off for me. Great video. Cheer's!!

Yeah it's called put as much busting ass into your legs as your upper body I see guys all the time at the gym when they do legs they'll do like squats and leg press and they will leave but when it comes to back day chest day they're in there all day problem is guys don't want to put effort into their legs

Lee Hayward Thank you, I have found that alternating between full body weight training mon wed and Friday with 45 minute running tues thurs and Saturday. I have been able to stabilize my current weight.
