Oh my goodness! I don’t know if that’s a southern thing or what but I just had a major flashback of my Daddy & every elementary teacher I ever had in Mississippi saying, “when two vowels go walking together, the first one says it’s name and the second one stays silent!!!” Thanks for that memory Miss Patty!!! I LOVE that y’all are teasing (pickin’) at each other about your accents! When I first moved to Maine from Mississippi everyone teased me relentlessly about my accent so I worked so hard to sound more “northern”... but every time my daddy comes up to visit, that southern drawl comes out! LOL Also... my dad was talking to our daughter about his chickens one day and told her he had “tin chickens”... she asked him what he wanted “tin chickens” for and he said, “Well... for eggs... of course!” She sat there so confused and said, “wait...how do you get eggs from tin chickens?” We all started laughing! He then explained he had “8...9...10 (“tin”) chickens”!!!! Hahahahahaha Anyway... y’all are too cute! Loving these videos from the gathering!!! ♥️

Great video! I laughed quite a bit and learned a lot!

two factors i do believe affect your "volcano:" first in Colorado your boiling temp is lower, second the atmospheric pressure is lower, they combine to allow your mixture to "volcano" much faster

Tawra you seem so much more relaxed. You seem to be having a great time. Wish I could come and meet you. I am in Alabama. Love you and Mike and family.

Again, how funny you all are, individually or all together. Great lesson though on this soap making process. Can't wait to see how Patti returns the favor by teaching Tawara how to cook rice in the Instapot!

I told Wanda to put my name on one of those cook books the day she brought them from the post office. She said she wrote my name on the box.

Tommy, I am a ex. beautician and I know of numerous people including my son that lost their hair by using mane and tail shampoo and conditioner.

Pappasito's is our favorite restaurant! They are in Dallas and Houston and a few other cities in Texas. I knew as soon as you mentioned the best Mexican place that it had to be Pappasito's. :-)

This was a really fun video! Y'all are simply hilarious! As for the soap making..... that just looks SO complicated. I think I'll just continue to go to our local Amish/Mennonite store and buy the soap! Y'all have a blessed and safe weekend. 💕🙏

I didn't catch the live show, but I really enjoyed this. If I use half and half or butter milk instead of yogurt would that work the same? TFS.

I have been told and found it to be true that shampoo bars do not do well with hard water at all.

I'm not sure what you're asking.  I watch other live shows and comment on the chats some times.
Norma Mason (8 months ago)
Cat Lover, are you also on a different forum connected to a family corner?

I missed the live show but if your lye is not fresh, it can affect the performance. Older lye will react slower.
Donna Hinds (8 months ago)
I also sbhp my oils @ 200. I’m impatient and don’t like to wait for the lye to bring up the temperature.

We found out we didn't get it hot enough. Yes, I need you to keep me in line!
I have used lard in my stick blender hot process and it's not made a difference in Colorado
