Amazing Turkish Food and Attractions in Istanbul - Istanbul, Turkey, Travel Guide!

29:49
►Subscribe: http://bit.ly/MarkWiensSubscribe ►Watch the full playlist: https://goo.gl/fjaKHn ►Camera I use: http://amzn.to/2dEL3hv Day 9: Istanbul, Turkey - This was a day of sightseeing at some of the most famous attractions in Istanbul that I’ve wanted to visit my entire life including the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia. And the read highlight of the day for me was the incredible Turkish food, especially the kebabs. Museum Pass Istanbul - 85 TRY ($28.88) - Before getting started with the things we did in this video, I purchased a Museum Pass for Istanbul, which granted me access to a few of the attractions without having to stand in line. I’m not sure if I really saved much money, but it did save time. 2:00 Sultan Ahmet Camii (Blue Mosque) - Our first stop of the day in this attractions in Istanbul video was the Sultan Ahmet Camii, which is commonly known as the Blue Mosque due to its blue tiles on the inside. We actually arrived a little too early in the morning, so they were not open yet, so we walked around the Hippodrome of Constantinople for a few minutes. When the Blue Mosque opened, we went inside. Both inside and outside are incredible to see. 5:37 Hagia Sophia - One of the most famous pieces of architecture in all of Istanbul and one of the most famous attractions is Hagia Sophia. It started off as a church, later became a mosque, and now it’s an official museum. After entering, you can walk around the main room, but the highlight of visiting Hagia Sophia for me was walking up to the upper galleries for some amazing views from above. 8:24 Topkapi Palace - Finally, one more of the most famous attractions in Istanbul, and located right in the same area as Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque is Topkapi Palace, which was an Ottoman Palace. You can walk around the gardens and palace structures, which are now galleries. I especially enjoyed the Imperial Harem, which was a section of the palace reserved for women, and the best preserved area of the palace. 11:25 Sehzade Erzurum Cag Kebab (Şehzade Cağ Kebap) - There are many different types of Turkish food, and cag kebab is a type of kebab from Erzurum in Eastern Turkey. According some some men I met while eating the amazing kebabs, this is the best restaurant for cag kebab in all of Istanbul. The type of kebab is made from lamb, and instead of being on a vertical skewer like other types of kebabs, it’s grilled on a horizontal skewer. The meat is cooked with wood fire, and slice off onto smaller skewers to be served. If you get a chance to try cag kebab, it’s an absolutely stunning Turkish food. The entire meal was delicious, but the best part was meeting the owner of Sehzade Erzurum Cag Kebab and eating a slice of the meat right off the roll hot and fresh. Out entire meal cost 85 TL ($28.88). 20:34 Basilica Cistern - 20 TRY ($6.80) - Arter the amazing Turkish food lunch, we headed over to see the Basilica cistern, one of many underground cisterns in Istanbul. It was interesting to see. We then headed to the hotel for a rest, and then went out again for dinner. 23:27 Dinner at Balkan Lokantasi - Beşiktaş is a neighborhood in Istanbul and we walked over to a restaurant for dinner in that neighborhood called Balkan Lokantasi. It was an extremely busy restaurant serving all sorts of different Turkish food in a cafeteria like style. You walk through the line, choose whatever dishes you want, and pay for what you get. You can eat a serious feast for a pretty good price. I got a little confused and didn’t really know what I was doing, so ended up ordering what was way too much food. But that’s alright, it was all really delicious. It was fantastic day of Turkish food and visiting some attractions in Istanbul that I had wanted to visit my entire life. 10 Things NOT to Do in Egypt

03:06
Get more Tips here! http://www.destinationtips.com When you think of Egypt, you might picture miles of sand and rock, but Egypt is home to much more than just pyramids. However, there is also some danger lingering in the nation’s corners. If you want to avoid trouble, here are some tips to help make sure your trip is nothing but great memories. 1. Don’t Engage in PDA This means that you should avoid any kind of kissing — even a peck on the cheek — as it may be considered rude. You should also avoid hugging, too. 2. Consider a Tour Guide Even if you’ve got a little bit of world travel experience, it's a good idea to enlist someone who is familiar with the terrain. It doesn't cost as much as you’d think. 3. Don’t Wear Sleeveless T-Shirts Apart from Egypt’s coastal cities, the locals are a little more amenable if you stick to moderate clothing. Men should avoid sleeveless T’s and women should consider avoiding shorts. 4. Don’t Pay Sticker Price In Egypt, they expect you to do a little bit of haggling for pretty much anything you can buy. Whether you’re picking up a pack of smokes or you’re picking out a souvenir, the merchants will expect a little bit of sport before the final purchase. 5. Don’t Cross the Street By Yourself The traffic in Cairo is chaotic. The cars won’t stop for you, either. Fortunately, you can either follow an Egyptian as he or she crosses the street or someone will help you. They really are nice people. 6. Don’t Hire People on the Street In the most popular tourist areas, you might be approached by strangers offering a special tour of a specific site. Don’t take them up on it. Hiring a guide is a good idea, but go through registered sources. 7. Don’t Forget to Tip In Egypt, you should not only leave a tip when you’re in a restaurant, but you should also leave a little bit of gratuity in clothing shops and commercial outlets! 8. Don’t Pet Stray Animals When you’re in highly populated urban areas, you’re likely to run across the occasional stray cat or a pack of stray dogs. They might look like they’re in need of some snuggles, but they might also be violent or carrying infectious diseases. 9. Don’t Drink on the Street You might be inclined to let loose because you’re on vacation, but don’t drink any alcohol in the street. Not only is it unacceptable from a social standpoint, in some areas you might be committing a crime. 10. Don’t Worry About Punctuality If you make plans to meet some place with an Egyptian local, don’t be surprised if they’re late. It’s not a personal slight, just go with it. Where do you want to know what not to do in next? Comment Below!

TOURIST TRAPS IN ISTANBUL: Caught on Camera | "THUGS OF TURKEYstan"! (Taksim Square, Sultan Ahmet)

23:00
http://bit.ly/subscribeMT & http://www.touristhelpline.com/tourist-scams-in-istanbul-caught-on-camera/ In this video, you will see a tourist scam in Istanbul. It is based on my visit to famous tourist places in Istanbul like Taksim Square, Istiklal street and Sultan Ahmet. I visited there in September 2018. During my visit to the Istiklal street, I was approached by two people who pretended to be a tourist. Watch this video to know how did they approached me and tried to get friendly. They asked me to join for bear, which I refused. I was already warned about this by the staff at the hostel where I stayed. The same thing happened with me on the next day in Sultan Ahmet, another popular tourist place in Istanbul. Usually, these people target Solo tourists. After watching this video, I am sure you will come to know about Dos and Donts while travelling in Istanbul and how to handle such situations. Istanbul Ataturk Airport - ATM | Tourist Sim | Taxi & Metro | Istanbul Airport to Sultan Ahmet

17:27
http://bit.ly/subscribeMT & http://www.touristhelpline.com/istanbul-airport-guide-taxi-metro-sim-atm-istanbulkart-my-experience/ This video is based on my experience at the Istanbul Ataturk Airport. Information shared in this video is based on - the best and cheapest way to go from Istanbul airport to city centre. I travelled via Istanbul Metro from Istanbul airport to Sultan Ahmet, a tourist hub in Istanbul. I have also shared inputs on sim card in Turkey. For eg, I have mentioned the cost of Turkcell and Vodafone sim available at the airport. Although there are many other sim card companies in Turkey which you will come to know in upcoming videos. What is the best way to get Turkish Lira at the airport! I used the HSBC atm at Istanbul airport to withdraw money. Though I got a poor exchange rate. After withdrawing the money I purchased a smartcard which is valid in all trams, metro, buses and even toilets in Istanbul, the name of this smartcard is IstanbulKart. Watch this video to know IstanbulKart fares and how to get IstanbulKart at the airport? Europe (plus Turkey and Egypt) 2008

16:12
We did a bit of travelling before kids, and before we became full time travellers. Back in 2008, we spent three weeks in Europe, with quick trips to Asia and Africa! After few days of exploring Rome (Colosseum, Trevi fountain, the Vatican), we took a 14 day Eastern Mediterranean cruise stopping in the beautiful Greek islands of Mykonos and Rhodes, ancient city of Ephesus in Turkey, went to the beach in Limassol, Cyprus, followed by once in a lifetime visit to Cairo, Egypt (saw the Great Pyramids of Giza, took a Nile river cruise, and saw how they make papyrus), then onto Athens to see the Acropolis, lastly stopping in Naples, Italy and making a trip down to remains of Pompeii, before returning to Rome. After the cruise we took the train to Venice, spent the day on vaporettos, gondolas, and walking. Next an overnight train all the way through the Alps to Prague, Czech Republic where we met with family from Poland. After exploring Prague Castle and its Golden Lane we drove up 3 hours to Poland, to spend time with family and celebrated Mark's grandma's big 97th birthday! After the weekend birthday celebration, and exploring the city of Wroclaw, we were driven to Berlin airport, also roughly a 3 hour drive from south western Poland. It gave us a preview of our current full time traveller lifestyle, as except for several organized tours we managed on our own. For example, in mainland Greece, once we docked at Piraeus, we opted to see Acropolis and rest of Athens on our won, we spent some 2 Euros and took the bus and then the metro, one of the local commuters even told us to take the next stop than what we had planned in order not to have to go up the steepest road; an hour or so in we saw cruise tour groups arriving, each paying something like 90 dollars to get there and to be guided around. Pretty busy trip, but very memorable!

We Tried Egypt Street Food | Must Eat Local Dishes in Cairo

21:43
Trying Egyptian Food in Cairo - it's our second day here in Cairo, Egypt and we thought we would head on out to try some of the local Egyptian and Middle Eastern Food. To get our pallet ready we tried Ma'An Sulta (Salad water), before getting some prickly fruit from a street food cart. We then headed to Felfela, a famous restaurant here in Cairo to have some Turkish coffee, Shorbet 'ads (lentil soup), baba ganoush (eggplant dip), ful, besara and Betinjan Maqli. On the way to our next restaurant we tried arabic coffee for the first time, hibiscus juice as well as some white Egyptian Sobia drink before trying some home cooked Bamya. Before we tried the most famus Egyptian dish, we had some Baskote Yansoon as we made our way towards the end of downtown to try Koshari...I am not sure how we had space for desert but managed to squeeze in Konafa, Basbousa and more...we are officially full! Vlog #527 Istanbul, Turkey // THANK YOU Latif & Istanbul on Food! http://istanbulonfood.com We had the most DELICIOUS day eating all kinds of traditional Turkish foods that we had never even heard of before! We LOVE learning about a country and it’s culture/history through it’s food, and this tour is one of the absolute best food tours we’ve ever done! We started out at the local market where we picked up cheese, olives, and bread, then had a massive Turkish feast for breakfast with tea and a few other traditional morning dishes. Next we had breakfast part 2 which was a hearty lamb stew. Other highlights include street mussels, “turkish tacos,” a trip to the sweets shop, RAW meatballs, and making our own Turkish pizza! We Tried Turkish Street Food in Istanbul

18:02
Trying Turkish food in Istanbul. We have just arrived in Turkey and you know how much we love finding local food, so we are heading out in Istanbul to try out some of the local Turkey food. On our way to breakfast we had to grab a walking snack called Simet before finding Van Kahvalti to have a traditional Turkish breakfast plus menemen and free flowing Turkish tea. We were lucky enough to try a winter based drink called Salep aka warm Christmas soup. The coffee machine was broken so we headed to Konotrop for some hipster Australian coffee and hipster Turkish coffee before having the craziest ice cream experience in our life! After the break we head to Sutlac Nizam Pide to try what we thought was Turkish Pizza (Pide) at least we managed to have a taste of Ayran...not sure if we regret it haha! From there we head to the Bosphorus to try Balik Ekmek and pickle juice...I have no idea where we found the room to try Borek on the way to the spice market...but not before trying some more coffee. To end it all we went to Gullouglu to have some Baklava! Thanks for watching everyone hope you enjoyed it :) Turkey Trip with Intrepid Travel (Real Turkey): http://bit.ly/intrepidtravelau Where we get our incredible music from: http://share.epidemicsound.com/flyingthenest (--- you can also sign up and get a month free of royalty free Travel Vlog & YouTube music Gear we shot this video with - http://geni.us/XPv5iAu SUBSCRIBE TO NEVER MISS AN EPISODE: http://geni.us/38252Ai ------------------------------------------ FLYING THE NEST: Website • http://geni.us/pfWWAeR Facebook • http://geni.us/D8wjeL Twitter • http://geni.us/tBLJ Snapchat • http://geni.us/kPAhCbq STEPHEN: Instagram • http://geni.us/bmkE0l Twitter • http://geni.us/PLrsh JESS: Instagram • http://geni.us/8CTDg Twitter • http://geni.us/rD65Fh CHLEO (MY SISTER): Instagram: http://geni.us/yq1ADa YouTube: http://geni.us/1jJg8U ----------------------------------------- Hi, we are Stephen & Jess, Australian vloggers documenting our first year of leaving home and travelling around the globe. The Ultimate Istanbul Turkish Food Tour - JUICY Kokoreç, Balık Ekmek (Fish Sandwich), and Lahmacun!

32:28
►Check out my Istanbul Travel Guide: http://bit.ly/Istanbul-Guide ►Subscribe to my videos: http://bit.ly/MarkWiensSubscribe ►Camera I use: http://bit.ly/2d2TA0G Day 10: Istanbul, Turkey - This was one of the best days of eating Turkish food in Istanbul that I had during my visit, and this video is an Istanbul food tour. We started with Turkish breakfast, followed by the famous fish bread sandwich (balik ekmek), followed by kokoreç and midye dolma, and then finally for dinner I ate lahmacun. Although everything was good in this Istanbul food tour, my favorite food of the day was the kokoreç. 00:41 Lades Menemen Restaurant - The first meal on this Turkish food tour was for Turkish breakfast just off Istiklal street. Along with some side dishes, my main order was menemen, which is a type of Turkish egg dish (similar to scrambled eggs) and I got it with Turkish sausage. It came piping hot and bubbling away, and it was extraordinarily delicious, especially with all the other sides. Total price - 34 TL ($11.43) for everything 4:56 Galata Tower - 25 TL ($8.40) per person - On this food tour, we still had to do a little bit of sightseeing, so on our way to the next restaurant, we stopped off at the Galata Tower for an amazing full 360 view of Istanbul. We got there right as they opened, so it was nice and quiet. Galata Bridge, Eminönü, Balık Ekmek - Perhaps one of the most well known Istanbul street foods is, balık ekmek, a fish bread sandwich. Located in Eminönü, and along the water's edge, you’ll find a handful of boats that grill up pieces of mackerel, stuff them into bread, and serve them with lemon juice. You can sit along the pier, and enjoy your fish bread sandwich, and not only is it good, but the atmosphere is also fantastic. Balik Ekmek (fish sandwich) - 8 TL ($2.69) 10:56 Spice Bazaar (Egyptian Bazaar) - If I could choose one of my favorite things to do in Istanbul, it would be exploring the Spice Bazaar which is also known as the Egyptian Bazaar. You’ll find an incredible amount of spices and herbs and flavoring ingredients from around the world, packed into the market. After walking around for a while, Ying and I decided to buy some cherries, and the friendly vendor also gave us some samples of fruit as well. Cherries - 1 kg. for 12 TL ($4.03) 13:35 Süleymaniye Mosque - We were in the general area, so we stopped in at Süleymaniye Mosque, an iconic mosque in Istanbul that dominates the skyline. 15:21 Kral Kokoreç - The next food on this Istanbul food tour is kokoreç, and it’s one of the Turkish foods I was most looking forward to eating in Istanbul. Kral Kokoreç is an amazing, sort of street food stall in Istanbul. Kokoreç is a delicacy of organs wrapped in lamb intestines and grilled. I ordered a plate of it to go alongside some bread and it was spectacular. It was one of the best Turkish food meals I had, I loved it. They also sold midye dolma, mussels with rice and spices, and they were also wonderful. Total price - 29 TL ($9.71) - for everything. 22:42 Grand Bazaar - After that amazing meal, we walked over to the Grand Bazaar, which is not only one of the oldest covered markets in Istanbul, but one of the oldest covered shopping areas in the world. It was pretty amazing to walk around, and admire the shops and the actual structure of the Grand Bazaar in Istanbul. I think the tea was 1 TL ($0.34). 25:47 Fıstık Kebap Lahmacun - To complete this Istanbul food tour, our final stop for dinner was at a restaurant called Fıstık Kebap Lahmacun (thanks to Culinary Backstreets for the recommendation: http://culinarybackstreets.com/cities-category/istanbul/2013/top-3-lahmacun/) to eat lahmacun. At first we started off with aryan and kibbeh, before proceeding onto the lahmacun, pide, and the special fistik kebap. Everything was delicious, but I think I really liked the simplicity and lightness of the lahmacun the best. Total price - 58 TL ($19.49). And that completes this video of the ultimate Turkish food tour of Istanbul, it was an amazing day of food! Turkey Vacation Travel Video Guide

51:35
Travel video about destination Turkey. Turkey, ‘the land beneath the half moon’. We begin our journey in Istanbul, golden gateway to the Orient, a city that was once the centre of the Old World and still reflects two and a half centuries of history. On the opposite side of the Galata Bridge on the banks of the Golden Horn is the Yeni Cami Mosque with a large number of domes and minarets built one on top of the other plus a number of precious glass windows. The Grand Basare is a city within a city. Through a large gate there is a labyrinth of corridors that were built over many centuries. The enclosed market contains more than four thousand shops within its seemingly endless halls and it is possible to buy almost anything here. A vivid world full of the aromas of the orient. Near to the west coast of Turkey situated between Troy and Ephesos is one of the most famous and well preserved ancient cities of this region, Pergamon. This, in the Hellenic era, was an ancient cosmopolitan city the traces of which are still visible today. Marmaris is situated on the Turkish Riviera and was once well protected by a mediaeval fortress. In 1522 Sultan Süleyman The Splendid enlarged the small castle of the former Roman rulers as he wished to conquer the island of Rhodes. Ankara is the capital of the Republic of Turkey and this once Anatolian provincial backwater is today one of the country’s most modern cities and is a vibrant world metropolis. The biggest mosque in Turkey is the Kocatepe Camii which is both a symbol of the devoutness of the Turkish people as well as being an important centre of communication for the entire city. Turkey is a country of many faces, with fairytale-like mosques and palaces, legendary ancient cities and fascinating landscapes. It is a link between Asia and Europe, between East and West and an historic bridge between both Orient and Occident. -------------- Watch more travel videos ► https://goo.gl/MXPgSs Join us. Delhi to Egypt in 17,000 Rs. | Saudia Airlines | REVIEW: Jeddah & Alexandria Airports

16:16
http://bit.ly/subscribeMT I did a trip from India to Egypt in early 2018. This video is about my experience from Delhi to Alexandria, Egypt with Saudia (airlines) and Jeddah airport where I had a long layover. For me, India to Egypt flight fare was Rs 17,000. I don't think you can get a cheap flight for Egypt than this! I have discussed Saudia Airlines, my experience at Jeddah airport, facilities available at Alexandria airport, etc. For details, you can check my blog post - http://www.touristhelpline.com/india-to-egypt-flight-in-17000/ If you have any other query feel free to ask at - www.facebook.com/groups/touristhelpline (It may not be possible for me to answer every question here, but other group members, travellers, and travel experts can help you) Other travel series - # THAILAND playlist - http://bit.ly/MTthailand2017 # EUROPE Playlist - http://bit.ly/MTeurope2016 # BANGLADESH playlist - http://bit.ly/MTbangladesh2015 # SPITI (India) playlist - http://bit.ly/MTspiti2017 # MALAYSIA playlist - http://bit.ly/MTmalaysia2017 # RUSSIA playlist - http://bit.ly/MTrussia2017 # BALI playlist - http://bit.ly/MTbali2017 # MIZORAM playlist - http://bit.ly/MTmizoram2017 PLEASE SHARE THE VIDEOS AND LET OTHERS GET INFORMED ABOUT THIS CHANNEL My blog: www.touristhelpline.com INSTAGRAM.com/touristhelpline FACEBOOK.com/page.touristhelpline TWITTER.com/touristhelpline THINGS I USE WHILE TRAVELLING Camera 1: https://goo.gl/hhx1fy Camera 2: http://amzn.to/2gHOIRU Gimbal: http://amzn.to/2B9cSPW Monopod: http://amzn.to/2zUY42W phone: http://amzn.to/2fzxeFn For Video editing: http://amzn.to/2oCWOQa Rucksack - http://amzn.to/2jiCpha

Egypt Vacation Travel Video Guide

51:32
Travel video about destination Egypt. Egypt is a land of monumental temples, gigantic pyramids, the River Nile and the mysterious Sphinx: 5000 years of history.Founded by Alexander The Great in 332 B.C., the city of Alexandria is located in the Nile Delta and it was here that Caesar and Mark Anthony fell under Cleopatra’s spell. Cairo is Africa’s largest city and the heart of the Arab world, extreme poverty living next to opulent wealth, and modern, Western boutiques next to ancient souks. The Cairo Museum is home to the most extensive collection of Egyptian antiquities, including the golden mask and tomb of Tutankamun. Towering above almost any other human achievement are the impressive three pyramids of Gisa. The Cheops Pyramid, the world’s largest single construction, took four hundred thousand workers twenty years to build. It weighs as much as all the cathedrals in Europe put together and spans an area of 53,000 square metres - the height of a fifty storey skyscraper. In the middle of today’s modern city of Luxor, known as the ‘Capital City Of The Pharaohs’, the Luxor Temple stretches along the eastern banks of the Nile and, not far away, the temple complex of Karnak and the Amun Temple. 67 kilometres from Luxor, on the western bank of the Nile, lies the Temple Of Dendera, the most important place of worship for the love goddess, HATHOR, whose heavenly appearance was portrayed by the body of a cow. At Aswan, the landscape of the Nile is enchanting, but it is the stone temples of Abu Simbel that take one back to ancient Egypt, land of the Pharaohs, and archaeological paradise. -------------- Watch more travel videos ► https://goo.gl/MXPgSs Join us. BEST VIEW OF ISTANBUL | Cheapest Mobile SIM in Turkey

14:25
http://bit.ly/subscribeMT & http://www.touristhelpline.com/istanbul-ferry-tour-camlica-hill/ The cheapest fare from Europe to Asia is 30 Rupees. Sounds interesting! But this is what people pay to travel between Asia and Europe in Istanbul. Ferry ticket cost for Uskudar is 2.6 Lira which comes to around 30 Indian Rupees. The water body is called Bosphorus which divides Istanbul into two parts. Uskudar is on the Asian side of Istanbul. So if you are looking for a cheap Bosphorus tour then take Istanbul Ferry tour which I have shown in this video. This is the cheapest way to feel the Bosphorus ferry trip in Istanbul. After the Bosphorus ride, I went to visit çamlıca hill also called çamlıca tepesi in Turkish. Camlica Tepesi is the highest point in Istanbul so this is the best viewpoint in Istanbul to get panoramic views of the city. I visited in the evening and found it is the best sunset point in Istanbul. Watch this video to know how to reach Uskudar on a ferry and thereafter how to reach Camlica Tepesi. Also, I purchased a local sim from Turk Telecom for 80 Lira which was the cheapest sim price in Istanbul until then. Istanbul Street Food - DELICIOUS Turkish Kofte and Breakfast on Turkish Airlines!

25:50
►Check out my Istanbul travel food guide: https://goo.gl/WVJqhb ►Subscribe to my videos: http://bit.ly/MarkWiensSubscribe ►Camera I use: http://amzn.to/2dEL3hv (affiliate link) Day 8: Istanbul, Turkey - On Day 8, we flew on Turkish Airlines and from Muscat to Istanbul. The flight on Turkish Airlines was fantastic, and I had my first ever Turkish breakfast while in the sky. We then checked into The Ritz-Carlton hotel, and had some amazing Istanbul street food kofte for lunch. Istanbul is a city that I’ve always wanted to visit, and I can’t wait to explore and eat more Turkish food! 0:15 Turkish Breakfast on Turkish Airlines - To begin this day and video my wife and I were on a flight with Turkish Airlines (member of Star Alliance) from Muscat, Oman to Istanbul, Turkey. Turkish Airlines is an amazing airlines, and on business class they served us Turkish breakfast since we happen to fly into Istanbul early in the morning. Bread, olives, cheese, honey, and then the main dish included eggs and vegetables. Great flight with Turkish Airlines! 2:42 Istanbul Atatürk Airport - We arrived to Istanbul very early in the morning and after grabbing our bag, we found the bus outside the terminal to go to Taksim Square. The bus cost 11 TL ($3.73) per person. 4:57 The Ritz-Carlton, Istanbul - Marriott Hotels sponsored my stay in Istanbul, and it was an honor to have the opportunity to stay at the The Ritz-Carlton, Istanbul, which is located just a 5 minute walk from Taksim Square, with a fantastic view of the Bosphorus. We got all checked in, and the room was fantastic. 7:44 Istanbul Street Food - Kofte Sandwich Stall - After taking a little rest in the hotel and drinking some coffee, Ying and I were both pretty hungry. There’s a small Istanbul street food stall that serves amazing grilled kofte, just down the street from The Ritz-Carlton, Istanbul, and that’s exactly where we headed, right at lunch time. Before ever arriving I could smell the aroma of the meat on the grill and then I could see the colorful display of peppers and parsley surrounding the grill as well. I ordered a kofte sandwich, and after toasting the bread, he added in a bunch of little meat kofte patties, some tomatoes and onions and peppers, seasoned with some spices and chili powder and handed it to me. For 10 TL ($3.40) for sandwich and drink, this was about as good as it could possibly get for Istanbul street food! Wow it was so good. 12:17 Taksim Square and Turkish Coffee at Mandabatmaz (Istiklal Street) - After that amazing kofte sandwich, we continued walking through Taksim Square, one of the most famous landmarks of Istanbul and then on to the walking Istiklal street. The highlight for me was stopping at Mandabatmaz for a cup of the most amazing Turkish coffee I’ve ever had. Turkish coffee - 5 TL ($1.70). 17:04 Fish and Meat House - At this point Ying and I were starting to get really sleepy - we hadn’t really slept the night before. So we stopped for an early dinner at Fish and Meat House to have some grilled fish. I had the grilled sea bream, which was simple and plain but excellently fresh and cooked perfectly. The salad was also delicious. Total price for everything - 74 TL ($25.12). Disclaimer and Thank You: This trip was made possible by Star Alliance and their Round The World tickets (http://www.staralliance.com/en/round-the-world) who sponsored my business class flights. The Ritz-Carlton, Istanbul sponsored my stay in Istanbul. Thank you to Star Alliance, Marriott Hotels, and Turkish Airlines for making this trip happen. We Tried Traditional Turkish Foods in Canakkale & Ayvalik

22:00
Our Turkey adventure beyond Istanbul begins as we leave the city to make our way towards Canakkale but not before stopping to pay our respect at Gallopoli for the ANZAC troops. Our evening in Canakkale lead us to trying some traditional Turkish foods that you guys have been recommending we try since the last video. An Indian in Egypt | Nile River | Luxor temples | Egypt Trains | Bollywood fans

16:06
http://bit.ly/subscribeMT In this video, you will watch me crossing the Nile river in the cheapest possible way. I just paid 1 L.E (3.5 Indian Rupees) to cross the Nile river in a public boat. Again I was hassled by the touts, taxi drivers, travel agents, etc. at the West Bank. I have also shared my experience of tourist scam in Cambodia - Thailand trip. I visited the Hatshepsut temple. I have shared the information about the entry ticket in Hatshepsut temple. I had Koshari, Roz Belaban and Fool in the lunch. So you will see it is not difficult to get the vegetarian food in Egypt. Also, you will see a few crazy Bollywood fans of Egypt. I came back to Luxor train station to catch the train to Cairo. You will also get a glimpse of the coming video in which I am going to show you my train journey from Luxor to Cairo, my experience in Cairo Metro and the famous place in Cairo, Tahrir square.
