Java tutorial #6 - Altri tipi di variabili: float, long, short, byte, char, boolean

06:26
Символы (char) в java

02:02

Oracle SQL Tutorial 23 - Intro to Data Types

05:03
Every column within a table has to be given what is known as a datatype. A data type is a fairly simple concept when you dissect the word. It is literally the type of data. Why do we use types, though? The biggest benefit is so that Oracle knows how to interpret and work with our data. It also makes the database better at rejecting incorrect data. If we had to concept of a data type, there would be a lot more work involved in forcing data to be of the right format. It would also be harder for us to get the database to treat the data in the correct way. In addition to this, a database can optimize storage and performance for a column if everything is of the same data type. Because of this, each column can only support one data type. There are numerous different data types in Oracle and it helps us if we categorize them. The first types of datatypes we should learn about are: String, Numeric, Temporal Now, there are few more categories we could make, but these are the main ones. We will worry about the other ones another day as I am only introducing the topic. A string data type is anything within quotes. Most databases use single quotes for string data. Inside of the quotes can be any number of characters. What is a character? Think of any letter, number, or symbol you can type. Some people call these letters, numbers, and symbols alphanumeric. Numeric data type includes only numbers. These data types are often used for data that you plan on using for mathematical calculations. Temporal data types are data types that are used for dates and times. Now, each data type is probably going to have some options you'll need to worry about, but one that comes up with every data type is storage. The reason we need to consider storage is because we may end up with millions of rows in a table and the difference between a few bytes for each row will make a huge difference when we look at the whole picture. When a data type gives you the option of size, you will want to a size that will be able to hold what you need, but nothing more. In the upcoming videos we are going to discuss the available data types in more detail. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Support me! http://www.patreon.com/calebcurry Subscribe to my newsletter: http://bit.ly/JoinCCNewsletter Donate!: http://bit.ly/DonateCTVM2. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Additional Links~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ More content: http://CalebCurry.com Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/CalebTheVideoMaker Google+: https://plus.google.com/+CalebTheVideoMaker2 Twitter: http://twitter.com/calebCurry Amazing Web Hosting - http://bit.ly/ccbluehost (The best web hosting for a cheap price!)

MySQL 30 - INT Data Type

03:02
The last section of videos covered the string data types, now we are going to move on to the numeric data types. This video is going to discuss the INTEGER data types, or the INT data types. These data types are used to store whole numbers. That is, numbers without anything after a decimal. Just like with the TEXT data type, INT is broken up into multiple data types that can be used. It is actually broken up into 5 different data types. TINYINT, SMALLINT, MEDIUMINT, INT, BIGINT. Now, the confusing part here is the naming. That's because the only thing we have to compare this naming to is the TEXT data types. But they don't follow a consistent naming convention. For example, MEDIUMTEXT is larger than TEXT, but MEDIUMINT is smaller than INT. Additionally, there are 5 data types for the INT data type group, and lastly the biggest INT data type is called BIGINT whereas the biggest TEXT data type is called LONGTEXT. These are used to store exact values. What that means is that if you store a number and use it, you expect it to maintain precision. There are data types that are used for estimated values which we are going to discuss in more detail in an upcoming video. For now, let's focus on INT data types. You can find the exact storage limits for each of these, but here is some info: TINYINT - 255 SMALLINT - 65535 MEDIUMINT - 16 Million INT - 4 Billion BIGINT - Stinkin' a lot (18446744073709551615) Now note, in this situation, we will have to label each one of these as UNSIGNED. An unsigned number does not allow for negatives, but allows higher positive numbers. You can look up the INT data types to get the exact ranges for signed and unsigned. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Support me! http://www.patreon.com/calebcurry Subscribe to my newsletter: http://bit.ly/JoinCCNewsletter Donate!: http://bit.ly/DonateCTVM2. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Additional Links~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ More content: http://CalebCurry.com Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/CalebTheVideoMaker Google+: https://plus.google.com/+CalebTheVideoMaker2 Twitter: http://twitter.com/calebCurry Amazing Web Hosting - http://bit.ly/ccbluehost (The best web hosting for a cheap price!)

what is the use of literals in oracle database

09:02
The terms literal and constant value are synonymous and refer to a fixed data value. For example, 'JACK', 'BLUE ISLAND', and '101' are all character literals; 5001 is a numeric literal. Character literals are enclosed in single quotation marks so that Oracle can distinguish them from schema object names. This free java tutorial for complete beginners will help you learn the java programming language from scratch. visit AppSyTech playlist: https:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HLezEIRAYaw&feature=youtu.be Java is a general-purpose, high-level programming language developed by Sun Microsystems. The Java programming language was developed by a small team of engineers, known as the Green Team, who initiated the language in 1991. The Java language was originally called OAK, and at the time it was designed for handheld devices and set-top boxes. Oak was unsuccessful and in 1995 Sun changed the name to Java and modified the language to take advantage of the burgeoning World Wide Web. Later, in 2009, Oracle Corporation acquired Sun Microsystems and took ownership of two key Sun software assets: Java and Solaris. Today the Java platform is a commonly used foundation for developing and delivering content on the web. According to Oracle, there are more than 9 million Java developers worldwide and more than 3 billion mobile phones run Java. In 2014 one of the most significant changes to the Java language was launched with Java SE 8 Changes included additional functional programming features, parallel processing using streams and improved integration with JavaScript. and in 2018 java lauched java version 11(jdk 11) and we are going to learn java 11 becasue this new new version and new teachnology. The 20th anniversary of commercial Java was celebrated in 2015. Java is an Object-Oriented Language(OOP) Java is defined as an object-oriented language similar to C++, but simplified to eliminate language features that cause common programming errors. The source code files (files with a .java extension) are compiled into a format called bytecode (files with a .class extension), which can then be executed by a Java interpreter. Compiled Java code can run on most computers because Java interpreters and runtime environments, known as Java Virtual Machines (VMs), exist for most operating systems, including UNIX, the Macintosh OS, and Windows. Bytecode can also be converted directly into machine language instructions by a just-in-time compiler (JIT). In 2007, most Java technologies were released under the GNU General Public License. #Java on the Web Java is a general purpose programming language with a number of features that make the language well suited for use on the World Wide Web. Small Java applications are called Java applets and can be downloaded from a Web server and run on your computer by a Java-compatible Web browser. Applications and websites using Java will not work unless Java is installed on your device. When you download Java, the software contains the Java Runtime Environment (JRE) which is needed to run in a Web browser. A component of the JRE, the Java Plug-in software allows Java applets to run inside various browsers Java Tutorial from Basics to Advance, java basics for beginners, advanced java tutorial,Java Programming Tutorial, java tutorials for beginners, java programming tutorial for beginners,Java Tutorial for Beginners, java, java programming, java programming for beginners, java tutorials, java (programming language),java video tutorial, java strings, advanced java tutorial for beginners, learn java programming examples, java programming for beginners tutorial if you guys have any probelm contact me Email: [email protected] fb group : https://www.facebook.com/groups/254929105316537/ Programmers instagram: https://www.instagram.com/appsytech/ twitter : www.twitter.com/rkyadavsoft youtube subscribe ::https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCPKOb6zBZI25Y2WtYstvDpw?view_as=subscriber

PLS-4: PL/SQL Variables

For Full Course Experience Please Go To http://mentorsnet.org/course_preview?course_id=5 Full Course Experience Includes 1. Access to course videos and exercises 2. View & manage your progress/pace 3. In-class projects and code reviews 4. Personal guidance from your Mentors ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A variable is nothing but a name given to a storage area that our programs can manipulate. Each variable in PL/SQL has a specific data type, which determines the size and layout of the variable's memory; the range of values that can be stored within that memory and the set of operations that can be applied to the variable. The name of a PL/SQL variable consists of a letter optionally followed by more letters, numerals, dollar signs, underscores, and number signs and should not exceed 30 characters. By default, variable names are not case-sensitive. You cannot use a reserved PL/SQL keyword as a variable name. PL/SQL programming language allows to define various types of variables, which we will cover in subsequent chapters like date time data types, records, collections, etc. For this chapter, let us study only basic variable types. With PL/SQL you can declare variables and then use them in SQL and procedural statements anywhere that an expression can be used. Variables can be used for the following: • Temporary storage of data: Data can be temporarily stored in one or more variables for use when validating data input and for processing later in the data flow process. • Manipulation of stored values: Variables can be used for calculations and other data manipulations without accessing the database. • Reusability: After they are declared, variables can be used repeatedly in an application simply by referencing them in other statements, including other declarative statements. • Ease of maintenance: When using %TYPE and %ROWTYPE (more information on %ROWTYPE is covered in a subsequent lesson), you declare variables, basing the declarations on the definitions of database columns. If an underlying definition changes, the variable declaration changes accordingly at run time. This provides data independence, reduces maintenance costs, and allows programs to adapt as the database changes to meet new business needs. More information on %TYPE is covered later in this lesson. Types of Variables" All PL/SQL variables have a data type, which specifies a storage format, constraints, and valid range of values. PL/SQL supports four data type categories—scalar, composite, reference, and LOB (large object)—that you can use for declaring variables, constants, and pointers. • Scalar data types hold a single value. The main data types are those that correspond to column types in Oracle server tables; PL/SQL also supports Boolean variables. • Composite data types, such as records, allow groups of fields to be defined and manipulated in PL/SQL blocks. • Reference data types hold values, called pointers, that designate other program items. Reference data types are not covered in this course. • LOB data types hold values, called locators, that specify the location of large objects (such as graphic images) that are stored out of line. LOB data types are discussed in detail later in this course.

Java String - Example of Declaring and Initializing Strings and calling Methods - Java Tutorial

02:51
The String data type is for declaring a sequence of characters. String literals are enclosed in double quotes, such as “Java”. A String can be any combination of characters including an empty String, a blank, numbers, digits, symbols and escape characters. String is a class data type, not one of the 8 primitive data types, which means that Strings are objects and not variables. An object consists of data that belongs to the object, and methods (actions) that the object can do. See the Java API for more info on the class String: https://docs.oracle.com/javase/8/docs/api/java/lang/String.html Please SUBSCRIBE to Appficial, and check out more Java Programming Tutorials! http://www.appficial.com The Basic Parts of a Java Program - Class and Main Method Header and Comments https://youtu.be/sHEk2DSBnSg Java Declaring and Initializing Variables https://youtu.be/Ag8ZH5qRzqM Naming Java Identifiers - Variables, Methods, and Object Names - Java Tutorial https://youtu.be/g0NR6Z0ac1A Java Reserved Keywords - Words like public static void class int double https://youtu.be/dklOXLDdeqc Java Primitive Data Types - byte short int long float double char and boolean https://youtu.be/hHTrxfEWPy0 Java Integers - int long byte and short Integer Variables https://youtu.be/FsrIsDSgTiQ Java Floating Point Numbers - float and double https://youtu.be/6JRufRrO1mQ Java E Notation - Doing Scientific Notation in a Java Program https://youtu.be/9tTKa9jEgNs Java Integer Division and Dividing by Zero - Java Tutorial - Appficial https://youtu.be/46Ngr6eczpA Java Basic Math Arithmetic Expressions and Precedence Rules https://youtu.be/IMavhbsbIeQ Java Compound Operators - Combined Assignment Arithmetic Operator Examples https://youtu.be/2TP7XOyCW1o Java Constants - Constant Variables using Keyword Final https://youtu.be/cj_5D8-vrfQ Java Math Class Methods https://youtu.be/Guhb43pivCs Java Type Conversions and Type Casting https://youtu.be/hXxFVXBxQ1Q How to Convert Binary numbers to Decimal Numbers https://youtu.be/g1TOLO2FsvQ Java Characters - The char Primitive Data Type https://youtu.be/LBQrD2nkKQg Java Escape Characters https://youtu.be/jZpSjEGMlUQ Java String Class https://youtu.be/3G9IcmbV4Gs Java Scanner Class https://youtu.be/A1QXB_6ALDA Java Integer Overflow https://youtu.be/lTnUbx5Gi6o Java Style Guidelines https://youtu.be/P7xur0m6-do

Data Types in Java

03:00
Checkout my Full course on JAVA : https://www.udemy.com/java-for-complete-beginers-programming-fundamentals/?couponCode=YTFOR10 Primitive types are the most basic data types available within the Java language. There are 8: boolean, byte, char, short, int, long, float and double. These types serve as the building blocks of data manipulation in Java. Such types serve only one purpose — containing pure, simple values of a kind. Because these data types are defined into the Java type system by default, they come with a number of operations predefined. You can not define a new operation for such primitive types. In the Java type system, there are three further categories of primitives: Numeric primitives: short, int, long, float and double. These primitive data types hold only numeric data. Operations associated with such data types are those of simple arithmetic (addition, subtraction, etc.) or of comparisons (is greater than, is equal to, etc.) Textual primitives: byte and char. These primitive data types hold characters (that can be Unicode alphabets or even numbers). Operations associated with such types are those of textual manipulation (comparing two words, joining characters to make words, etc.). However, byte and char can also support arithmetic operations. Boolean and null primitives: boolean and null. All the primitive types have a fixed size. Thus, the primitive types are limited to a range of values. A smaller primitive type (byte) can contain less values than a bigger one (long).
