Wagner: Magic Fire Music (Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, Klaus Tennstedt)
Wagner began sketching ideas for the libretto of Der Ring des Nibelungen in the revolutionary year of 1848. It eventually became a cycle of four operas, for which the Bayreuth Festspielhaus was built. The full cycle did not premiere until 1876, but Wagner had portions of it completed long before then, and selections from Acts I and III of the second of the four operas, Die Walküre (The Valkyrie), were first given on the same concert in Vienna at the end of 1862 as the early Meistersinger excerpts. The Valkyries are Wotan’s daughters (with Erda, the earthy wisdom goddess) and chief among them is his favorite, Brünnhilde. At the beginning of Act III of Die Walküre they are gathered on a mountaintop, collecting slain heroes to take to Valhalla. “The Ride of the Valkyries” on their flying horses is depicted in fiercely martial music of swirling strings and trilling woodwinds, as unison brass blaze a motif associated with Brünnhilde. Brünnhilde, however, is missing at first. When she appears, she is carrying a woman, not a fallen warrior. In defiance of her father’s orders, Brünnhilde attempted to protect Wotan’s illegitimate son Siegmund and is now fleeing with Sieglinde, Siegmund’s twin sister and lover, pregnant with the future hero Siegfried. Wotan arrives in fury, dispersing the other Valkyries. For her disobedience, Brünnhilde is cast out of the Valkyries and will be put into a magical sleep on the mountain, available to the first man who finds her. Brünnhilde pleads with her father, asking that she at least be surrounded by a fire that would keep away all but the bravest of heroes. Wotan embraces his daughter for the last time, and kisses her eyes to sleep. His deeply affecting “Farewell” brings up loving memories as well as regrets in reflection on his struggle to undo the curse of the Ring that he himself incurred. The scene is an emotional crescendo of grief. At the end, Wotan summons the fire god Loge to blaze around the rock where Brünhilde lies. The flames spread in the flickering “Magic Fire Music,” derived mostly from Loge’s own motif and brilliantly orchestrated. ****** If you like this video subscribe to my channel. Archangel Zadkiel and Holy Amethyst Keynote Meditation - Magic Fire Music
This video is a Meditation on the Beloved Archangel Zadkiel and His Twin Ray Holy Amethyst. Archangel Zadkiel is the Archangel of the Seventh Ray, the Violet Ray of the Holy Spirit, and the Champion of the Violet Flame. The Violet Flame is a Divine Spiritual Energy which is used to consume any part of God's Creation which is no longer needed or wanted. The benefit of the Violet Fire is that it can be used to consume the records and energy used in creating things we don't like or don't want. So if we have ill health, we can consume the cause of that. Any past records of karma which are always returned to us to be redeemed -- sometime, somewhere -- can be dissolved and erased by the Violet Flame. It is the Flame spoken of in the Bible, where it reads, "Our God is a consuming Fire." In the way that we can use the Violet Flame to consume the records of so-called "sin" (which is just miscreation, misuses of energy), this is where the understanding of the Biblical quote, "Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow," comes from. Archangel Zadkiel is the Archangel of this Violet Flame. It begins as a Ray, the Violet Ray, and then when it reaches the outer worlds, it becomes a Flame, and begins returning back to the Universal Sea of Life and Light. Archangel Zadkiel and His Twin Flame, Amethyst, have a Retreat over the Island of Cuba. This is why the sinister force has focused such a dark energy on that island through communism and dictatorship. The Violet Flame, consuming the causes of every limitation is the Perfect Key to our Eternal Freedom. Yet here on Cuba, individual's most basic freedoms are squelched by the dark forces of evil. The picture has the Great Central Sun in the center of our Galaxy in the top left of the screen. It is sending the Violet Flame forth to the Earth, and to Archangel Zadkiel, who is positioned on the right side, along with His Divine Complement, Holy Amethyst. You can see Archangel Zadkiel's Sword of Violet Fire, and Him also sending the Violet Flame to meet with the Great Central Sun's Light, and acting in, through and around, the Earth. The music, as with anything in the outer, has its origins in the inner realm. The Keynote for the Archangel of the Violet Fire is found in the piece entitled, "Magic Fire Music." This piece of music is from German composer Richard Wagner. I have excerpted the portions of the song to include only the parts that have the Light energy, and the Keynote of this Blessed Archangel, removing the intimidating and dark music with the brass that comes at the beginning. It has also been encoded into 432 Hz, for better harmonics and action on the inner bodies, than the typical 440 Hz. The performance is the Cleveland Orchestra from their 1991 CD, "Wagner Without Words," George Szell conducting. I hope you like it.

Wotan and The Magic Fire (Die Walküre: Act III Conclusion) [720p]
As the angry Wotan states that Brünnhilde must become mortal and marry the first man she sees, so does his word become law, unable to be retracted. His favorite daughter only asks that the man she is to marry be not a coward. Remembering why she is his favorite, Wotan then devises a way to grant her request. He puts her in a deep sleep, only able to be awakened by a man proving himself brave by stepping through the fire Wotan commands Loge to encircle her with.

Magic Fire Music
Title: “Magic Fire Music” from Die Walküre Composer: Richard Wagner From an anonymous midi file Organ: The Hauptwerk Cavaillé Coll organ from Sonus Paradisi Wagner's music just has a power and majesty that I love. This music is normally sung in an opera setting, of course, but here is a non-vocal pipe organ version. According to Wikipedia: ------------------------------------------------- Die Walküre (The Valkyrie), WWV 86B, is an opera in three acts by Richard Wagner with a German libretto by the composer. It is the second of the four operas that form Wagner's cycle Der Ring des Nibelungen (The Ring of the Nibelung). The story of the opera is based on the Norse mythology told in the Volsunga Saga and the Poetic Edda. In Norse mythology, a valkyrie is one in a group of female figures who decide which soldiers die in battle and which live. Die Walküre's best-known excerpt is the "Ride of the Valkyries". It received its premiere at the Königliches Hof- und National-Theater in Munich on 26 June 1870. Wagner originally intended the opera to be premiered as part of the entire cycle, but was forced to allow the performance at the insistence of his patron King Ludwig II of Bavaria. It was first presented as part of the complete cycle on 14 August 1876 at Wagner's Bayreuth Festival. The opera made its United States premiere at the Academy of Music in New York on 2 April 1877. ------------------------------------------------- (Headphones will give the best listening results.)

Wagner - Die Walkure, Wotan's farewell (Leb wohl) Boulez, Bayreuth - English Subtitles HD
Wotan's farewell and magic fire music ("Leb wohl, du kühnes, herrliches Kind!") Wotan: Donald McIntyre Brunhilde: Gwyneth Jones Conducted by Pierre Boulez Orchester der Bayreuther Festspiele (1976) From Wikipedia: Wotan arrives in wrath and passes judgement on Brünnhilde (since she disobeyed his oreders). She is to be stripped of her Valkyrie status and become a mortal woman, to be held in a magic sleep on the mountain, prey to any man who happens by. Brünnhilde begs mercy of Wotan for herself, his favorite child. Wotan consents to her last request: to encircle the mountaintop with magic flame, which will deter all but the bravest of heroes (who, as shown through the leitmotif, they both know will be the yet unborn Siegfried). Wotan lays Brünnhilde down on a rock and, in a long embrace, kisses her eyes closed into an enchanted sleep. He summons Loge (the Norse demigod of fire) to ignite the circle of flame that will protect her, then slowly departs in sorrow. Watch in 1080p for the best audio quality.

Wagner: Wotan's Farewell and the Magic Fire Music (1856) (Transcription for Piano Solo)
From Die Walküre. Nate Koch, piano. Most transcriptions of the end of Die Walküre leave out some of the most beautiful passages that come as Wotan says goodbye and gives Brünhilde his farewell kisses on her eyes as he puts her to sleep. I had to play the whole ending. This is one of those moments in Wagner where many of the best leitmotifs come together in an especially beautiful way. I have never worked so long on one recording before. This is some of the most important music in my life. For you Wagnerians, here's a fairly complete catalogue of the leitmotifs in this last 12 minutes of Walküre. Please add or correct! - Brünhilde's Compasstionate Love (0:00 - 1:16), - The Sleeping Brünhilde (1:17). This becomes the accompaniment for many subsequent passages (4:12. 8:36, 9:16, 9:47, 10:20). - Fate (2:13, 5:55, 10:49) - The Renunciation of Love (2:25) - Magic Sleep (3:02 and 8:18) - Fragments of Valhalla Music (3:54, 8:31) - Wotan's Love for Brünhilde (4:12 and 9:47) - The most beautifully sad music ever written. - Wotan's Spear (6:25, 6:57) - Calling of Loge (6:33) - Magic Fire (7:01 and 7:42) - Siegfried the Hero, in the tenor at 8:43 and in double octives :) at 9:16

Wagner-Stokowski 'Magic Fire Music' - Serebrier conducts
Stokowski made several 'Symphonic Syntheses' of Wagner's operas during his early Philadelphia years in which the vocal lines were transferred to the strings or winds or brass so as to make purely orchestral tone-poems out of the music. The 'Magic Fire Music' brings 'Die Walkure' to a close with Wotan bidding farewell to Brunnhilde as he places her on a rock surrounded by fire which only a hero would dare penetrate and save her. In this splendidly played and recorded performance, the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra is conducted by Jose Serebrier, Stokowski's former Associate Conductor. Erich Wolfgang Korngold's appearance in Magic Fire (1955)
In 1954, after eight years, composer Erich Wolfgang Korngold returned to the movies for the last time. It was not because he was longing for, but because his fear, that if he would not write the arrangements for the new Richard Wagner movie, somebody else could do it in a "modernistic disrespectful" way, as he said in a radio interview, aired at the first of October 1954. In the last 20 minutes of the movie a montage of scenes exists, which presents Wagner's "Der Ring des Nibelungen"-circle, reduced from its full running time of about 16 HOURS to just 5 MINUTES. As the actor, who should play the role of the conductor Hans Richter did not show up on the set, the director of this movie, Wilhelm (William) Dieterle asked Korngold, who was on the set to show actors like Alan Badel how to conduct, if he would not like to act as Richter. Korngold accepted and here we have him, added with wig and beard, conducting. It is by far the ONLY footage that shows Korngold conducting, although it is to playback music of course. This and many more wonderful adaptations by Korngold from Wagner compositions are heard through the entire movie, you should watch. It is one of those lost gems of movie history! Appearances of Korngold (just the Close-ups): 01:35, 02:50, 03:29, 03:49, 04:49 Music Adapted and Supervised by Erich Wolfgang Korngold. Conducted by Alois Melichar.
