10 TIPS For FIRST TIME Greyhound Bus Travelers

10 tips for first time Greyhound bus travelers. If you are a little nervous about taking your first Greyhound bus trip then you'll want to check out this video. In it we discuss 10 tips for first time riders on the Greyhound Bus. I can still remember the first time I took a Greyhound bus trip. I had no clue what to expect and so I was pretty nervous. I remember attempting to do research online about what to expect on my bus trip but I couldn't find any real information. There were alot of negative reviews and forum posts about the Greyhound bus but no one was giving out any info on what really happens when you travel via Greyhound. One of the reasons I started this Youtube channel was because I wanted to fill that void. I wanted to give people the answers I was seeking all those years ago. I wanted to make videos that gave people real advice about riding the Greyhound bus as well as the tips they needed to get to their destination as smoothly as possible. The greyhound network is a sprawling behemoth that covers most of North America. And it can be intimidating. Especially if you have never been on it before. But by following the tips in this video, and all my other travel videos, you can have a great, stress-free trip. Take A Trip To Mars...On A School Bus

01:14
The Magic School Bus is not just a cartoon or a hallucinogenic vision anymore. Engineers transformed a regular school bus into a virtual reality field trip to Mars. The windows were swapped out with 4K transparent displays, making the entire bus a set of yellow VR goggles on wheels. So as the bus moves along in the real world, landscapes of Mars (presumably including Matt Damon and his potato poop farm) roll past the windows. Confused? The creators created a digital streetmap of Washington DC’s street layout, and then mapped that in turn onto a virtual surface of the red planet. Wherever the bus went in DC, the screens show a corresponding scene from Mars outside. DC was presumably chosen for the project because its lack of atmosphere made it a nice analog for Mars. There are even speakers throughout the bus to mimic sounds you may hear on the Red Planet, like sandstorms, or Matt Damon begging for a Golden Globe, and howls of laughter from Earth when he gets one for Best Comedy/Musical. A bus trip into Cambridge City 17/10/17

48:43
A entertaining ride into Cambridge via Stagecoach and Park and Ride, on a Tuesday afternoon. We went to collect my dads car so we had to take a bus. Cambridge info: Cambridge (/ˈkeɪmbrɪdʒ/ KAYM-brij) is a university city and the county town of Cambridgeshire, England, on the River Cam approximately 50 miles (80 km) north of London. At the United Kingdom Census 2011, its population was 123,867, including 24,488 students. There is archaeological evidence of settlement in the area in the Bronze Age and in Roman Britain; under Viking rule, Cambridge became an important trading centre. The first town charters were granted in the 12th century, although city status was not conferred until 1951. The University of Cambridge, founded in 1209, is one of the top five universities in the world. The university includes the Cavendish Laboratory, King's College Chapel, and the Cambridge University Library. The city's skyline is dominated by the last two buildings, along with the spire of the Our Lady and the English Martyrs Church, the chimney of Addenbrooke's Hospital and St John's College Chapel tower. Anglia Ruskin University, evolved from the Cambridge School of Art and the Cambridgeshire College of Arts and Technology, also has its main campus in the city. Cambridge is at the heart of the high-technology Silicon Fen with industries such as software and bioscience and many start-up companies born out of the university. More than 40% of the workforce has a higher education qualification, more than twice the national average. The Cambridge Biomedical Campus, one of the largest biomedical research clusters in the world, is soon to be home to AstraZeneca, a hotel and the relocated Papworth Hospital. Parker's Piece hosted the first ever game of Association football. The Strawberry Fair music and arts festival and Midsummer Fairs are held on Midsummer Common, and the annual Cambridge Beer Festival takes place on Jesus Green. The city is adjacent to the M11 and A14 roads, and Cambridge station is less than an hour from London King's Cross railway station. Geography: Cambridge is situated about 50 miles (80 km) north-by-east of London. The city is located in an area of level and relatively low-lying terrain just south of the Fens, which varies between 6 and 24 metres (20 and 79 ft) above sea level. The town was thus historically surrounded by low lying wetlands that have been drained as the town has expanded. The underlying geology of Cambridge consists of gault clay and Chalk Marl, known locally as Cambridge Greensand, partly overlaid by terrace gravel. A layer of phosphatic nodules (coprolites) under the marl were mined in the 19th century for fertiliser. It became a major industry in the county, and its profits yielded buildings such as the Corn Exchange, Fulbourn Hospital and St. John's Chapel until the Quarries Act 1894 and competition from America ended production. The River Cam flows through the city from the village of Grantchester, to the southwest. It is bordered by water meadows within the city such as Sheep's Green as well as residential development. Like most cities, modern-day Cambridge has many suburbs and areas of high-density housing. The city centre of Cambridge is mostly commercial, historic buildings, and large green areas such as Jesus Green, Parker's Piece and Midsummer Common. Many of the roads in the centre are pedestrianised. Population growth has seen new housing developments in the 21st century, with estates such as the CB1 and Accordia schemes near the station, and developments such as Great Kneighton, formally known as Clay Farm, and Trumpington Meadows currently under construction in the south of the city. Other major developments currently being constructed in the city are Darwin Green (formerly NIAB), and University-led developments at West Cambridge and North West Cambridge, (Eddington). The entire city centre, as well as parts of Chesterton, Petersfield, West Cambridge, Newnham, and Abbey, are covered by an Air Quality Management Area, implemented to counter high levels of nitrogen dioxide in the atmosphere. COLOMBIA BUS TRIP: MEDELLIN TO SALENTO | Eileen Aldis

04:26
In today's travel day vlog we take a bus from the large Colombian city of Medellín to Salento, a small town in the heart of coffee-growing country. We were told the journey would take somewhere between six and nine hours, depending on traffic and road closures. It was a huge, comfortable bus with a bathroom, air conditioning, and reclining seats - score! We were lucky it wasn't very full so we could really spread out. My favourite part was when different vendors boarded the bus at various times to offer food and drinks. That's how I got lucky enough to eat THE BEST arepa I've ever had in my life! It was still warm and the man said they'd just come out of the hot oven in his home. Absolute bliss! Too bad I had to share with Marc ;) I admit I was a little unsure about how I'd feel after a whole day on a bus on the winding roads through the Andes mountains but it was the best decision! I truly didn't feel the time and spent the entire bus ride with my headphones on, looking out the window at the beautiful scenery, wondering how I was so lucky to be there. Given the choice, I would recommend driving from Medellín to Salento because it's gorgeous and provides a great opportunity to see rural Colombia and get a taste for the vastness of the Andes. After eight hours, our bus let us off at the terminal in Armenia where we boarded a smaller bus that took us all the way to Salento (about an hour's drive more) down the winding hills into the valley. When we arrived we got let off on the side of the road and couldn't see many cars or people, let alone taxis. I'd been told that the taxis in Salentos are all Jeeps so we kept our eyes peeled while we mentally calculated how long it'd take to walk. We were really lucky that a girl walked by and asked if she could help us. We said we were looking for a taxi and she said she hadn't seen many but wished us the best. Less than five minutes later I saw a Jeep driving towards us and jumped out into the road to flag it down, flapping my arms. Turns out, I didn't need to! The Jeep stopped and guess who jumped out the back? The girl we'd just met! She'd seen a taxi down the road and got in to show the driver where we were. We were so thankful for her help and overwhelmed, as one often is, at the absolute kindness of strangers. We loaded our things into the Jeep, which was no ordinary Jeep - it was the coolest Jeep I'd ever seen. Our driver told us it was a 1950's 'Willy's' - in mint condition. WOW. We drove about fifteen minutes out of town to our hostel where we were grateful to check in and get to sleep after a long day of travel. I can't wait to explore Salento more and hope you enjoy this road trip as much as we did! Ver más vídeos en español: http://bit.ly/2qIOfQO ABOUT ME: I'm travelling around the world as a nomad. 08:17
Vlog No.65 - This bus ride in Peru from cusco to Machu Picchu was one of if not the scariest ride of my life. I'm surprised we didn't have an accident, crash or worse .... death! How To Travel Around London and Buy an Oyster Card - Important Tips!

05:26
Here are some very important tips on how to travel around London and buy an oyster card. Especially if it is your first time visiting London, if you aren't careful you can end up paying a lot more for your travel so it's important you pay the right fare. You can use your oyster card or contactless payment card for lots of different types of transport on London TFL services. This includes buses, trains, tubes, Thames Clipper boats, trams and even the Emirates Airline cable cars. My favourite thing to do is to travel on the old Number 15 routemaster buses. A real icon of London. I'll show you all the tips and tricks on how to behave like a true Londoner and not to be barged out of the way by the locals when travelling on transport in London. There are other ways to pay for London Transport including Apple Pay on your iphone or with a contactless credit or debit card. But I think it's easiest to get an oyster card when you first arrive. Try to avoid buying paper tickets because they cost more!! And the buses don't accept money so you must have an oyster or credit card or apple pay. Learn How to Use EZ Link Card in Singapore Bus. Public Transportation in Singapore

Singapore travel. local transportation. Learn How to Use EZ Link Card in Singapore Bus. Public Transportation in Singapore. Singapore's buses consist of single deck and double deck buses on routes operated by SBS Transit, SMRT Buses, Tower Transit Singapore and Go-Ahead Singapore, and articulated buses on routes operated exclusively by SMRT Buses. The EZ-Link card is a contactless smart card based on the Sony FeliCa smart card technology and used for the payment of public transportation fares in Singapore, with limited use in the small payments retail sector. Established in 2001, it was promoted as the means for speedier boarding times on buses. It had a monopoly on public transportation fare payments in Singapore until September 2009, when the NETS FlashPay card, which had a monopoly over Electronic Road Pricing (ERP) toll payments, entered the market for transportation payments (and vice versa). EZ-Link cards are sold, distributed and managed by EZ-Link Pte. Ltd., a subsidiary of Singapore's Land Transport Authority. In September 2009, the new CEPAS EZ-Link card replaced the original EZ-Link card. The card is commonly used in Singapore as a smartcard for paying transportation fees in the city-state's Mass Rapid Transit (MRT), Light Rail Transit (LRT) and public bus services. The card also serves as a supplementary identification and concession card for students in nationally recognised educational institutes, full-time national service personnel serving in the Singapore Armed Forces, Singapore Civil Defence Force and Singapore Police Force or senior citizens who are over sixty years old. The system has since been expanded, with EZ-Link cards being used for payments in Singapore branches of McDonald's. Some schools in Singapore have also started to adopt the EZ-Link card as a way to mark the attendance of students and to pay for food served within the school campus. The system is similar to the Octopus card in Hong Kong and Touch 'n Go in Malaysia. On 3 December 2005, EZ-Link Pte Ltd announced that it was working with NETS to create a new hybrid card which will have the functions of both the EZ-Link card and the CashCard. This card would make it possible for one card to be used for payment on land transport in Singapore — ERP, bus, MRT, stalls and library. Work on this card was expected to be completed in 2008,[3] and it is to replace the existing Ez-Link cards in 2009 as the existing EZ-Link cards are being phased-out. On 17 October 2007, StarHub and EZ-Link Pte Ltd declared the start of a 6-month trial on phones with an embedded EZ-Link card. Bus Transport forms a significant part of public transportation in Singapore, with over 3.9 million rides taken per day on average as of 2016.[1] There are more than 300 scheduled bus services, operated by SBS Transit, SMRT Buses and Tower Transit Singapore. The newest bus operator, Go-Ahead Singapore started operation from 4 September 2016.[2] There are also around 4,600 buses currently in operation.

How to Use the Busses in Rome

I'm Bojan from The Roman Guy. Today, we're going to teach you how to use the buses in Rome. This is our latest in the series of "Roma How To" videos. Now, in any foreign country, the transportation system can get pretty complicated, but today, we're going to show you how to conquer the buses of Rome. We recommend carrying a ticket with you while in Rome. You never know when you're going to need one and actually, it's really hard to find one on the bus. You usually get them at a Tabacchi place. Now let me show you how to actually buy one. Buonasera. Buonasera. Un biglietto del autobus per favore. Quant'e? Grazie lei. When traveling around Rome, it's important that you know where you are, where you're going, and which bus number you're supposed to take. We're standing here on the bus stop in Piazza Venezia. The Italian word for bus stop is fermata. You'll read the fermata on top of the boards and also the name of that bus stop. In this case, Piazza Venezia. After that, it's important to choose which bus to take. Now, above the bus number, you'll always see a different letter, X meaning Express. Watch out, this bus doesn't stop at every single stop. Night bus is marked with the letter N and the ones you'll usually be looking for are the buses with the letter U, meaning urban. Our destination, in this case, is Piazza Navona. Now, usually on these bus stops, you'll not see the name Piazza Navona on the board, which means we need to look for the nearest stop available. This is when your map will come in handy. To get to Piazza Navona, we need to get off at Corso Vittorio Emanuele, which means, looking at your board in front of you, we're looking for the bus number 64. It's also important to notice that the first and the last stops are what's known as the Capolinea meaning the beginning and the end of your course. In order to get to Piazza Navona from Piazza Venezia, you'll have to take the bus number 64, heading into the direction of Stazione St. Pietro. Now that you're on the bus and the crowd is finally cleared out, you got to use your tickets. You have the arrow pointing out the place where you need to insert it into the machine. Check it out. That's it, validated. Everyone, we've reached our destination, the beautiful Piazza Navona. Now, you can admire Bernini's Four River Fountain. We hope this was helpful and make sure you check out our other "Rome How To" videos. Goodbye for now

During the '90's war we came to the Netherlands and I got Dutch nationality. I've lived in Amsterdam for 8 years but lost my heart to India. Since 2018 I'm based in Bangalore. See this video for my refugee story: https://bit.ly/2l17T9h Q How can you afford to travel so much? A I saved for 3 years while working full time and now travel vlogging is my job. I work together with tourism agencies but also do some freelance work on the side. You can watch this video: https://youtu.be/vxfjQO_F1vE and this one: https://youtu.be/dB7plg139wQ to learn more about my story. Q What camera do you film with and what editing software do you use? A Canon G7X Mark II and Final Cut Pro X Q (Why) Are you vegetarian? A I'm vegetarian but not strict. I don't eat any meat, fish, cooked/boiled or fried eggs. I gradually became a vegetarian over the course of 15 years because I disliked the taste of meat more and more. After doing a yoga teacher training in 2015 I also quit fish and the eggs. No matter my food preferences I have no issues with other people not being vegetarian. I don't judge others and kind of expect the same favor from others concerning my own food preferences. It makes for a more friendly world :-) Q Why do you usually travel alone? A Because my friends have jobs with limited holidays, kids and partners. Also I really like exploring on my own. Q Why do you love India so much? A Watch this video: http://bit.ly/2iyUKkc and this one: https://youtu.be/Sh7E9VisTKQ Q How do you work together with brands? This is part 1 of 2 videos for our Day 1 trip. Trip date - Nov 2-12 In this video we talk about how to take the airport bus from Incheon Airport to Seoul, plus some other stuff we did as soon as we arrived. For Part 2 go here - https://youtu.be/72aQ03tK-Cw To check out all the vlog videos in this itinerary, check out this video playlist - https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLORXvI_3muLznNCw03wk7UAaTWXVayNw2 Follow us on Instagram: We post daily Korea things there! https://www.instagram.com/thekklifevlog/ - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Other Transpo options from Incheon to Seoul Taxi - around 65000KRW (US$58) to the city center. Most convenient option up to 3 people since it takes you right to your hotel. But do consider how much luggage will fit in the car. All Stop Train - approx. 3950KRW (US$3.5) if you use a T-Money Card. Last stop is at Seoul Station. If you're staying at Hongdae you can get off at Hongik University station. If you're staying at Myeongdong, Edae, or Elsewhere you can transfer to another subway line. Not the best option if you have a lot of things to carry. It's like riding the subway so if you don't get a seat right away, you may be standing for the whole 53-minute ride. AREX Non-Stop Train - Guaranteed Seats. Same route as the All-Stop Train. 43 minutes from Incheon to Seoul Station. Regular Fare at 14,800KRW ($13). Special prices at certain seasons - it was at 10,000KRW or $10 when we were there. You can take a taxi or transfer subway lines from here. Consider how much luggage you need to carry when you transfer trains from the end point. Airport Bus - watch the video. Prices vary per destination. In the Myeongdong Area, there are several bus stops so select the stop where you're hotel is closest at. Ours was closest to the Bus 6015 stop at Euljiro 1-ga (which is also in the Myeongdong area). The other bus is 6001. Travel time depends on the traffic but roughly an hour to Euljiro 1 (we left at around 10:00AM). Possibly an additional 20 minutes or more for Myeongdong Station. Check the location of your hotel for the best possible stop for you. If you're staying near Euljiro 1, City Hall, or across Lotte Department Store, here's a Limousine option from Klook - http://rcl.ink/lUp Check these links for more info - Airport Bus routes - http://www.airportlimousine.co.kr/eng/lbr/all/lbr02_2_6000.php More transportation options info from the Visit Korea website- http://english.visitkorea.or.kr/enu/TRP/TP_ENG_2_1.jsp Follow us on Instagram: We post daily Korea things there! https://www.instagram.com/thekklifevlog/ - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Thanks for watching! Narita Airport to Tokyo - Complete Japan Travel Guide

06:19
Here are tips to get to and from Narita Airport. I've lived in Japan for almost 15 years now and this advice is based on all my experiences. Hope this video helps. Check out more info at https://www.tokyozebra.com/ //Timelines// 0:12-Intro 0:13-1:07 Overview of transportation options to Narita Airport The options are... -Express Train - Narita Express and Keisei Skyliner -Local Bus -Bus - LCC and limousine -Taxi Basically LCC buses are the cheapest way to go, and express trains and limousine are about the same price. 1:08-1:28 Overview of express train -Narita Express is great for people staying in south west area including Shinjuku, Shibuya and Tokyo. -Keisei Skyliner is great for people staying in north east area including Ueno and Nippori. 1:29-2:52 How to ride the express train -From the Airport: When you arrive at Narita Airport, go to B1. You will find RED Narita Express ticket booth and machines on the right and BLUE Skyliner ticket booth and machines on the left. -To the Airport: N'EX - Go to your nearest JR station to buy ticket. You can buy tickets even though express train does not stop at your nearest station. Skyliner - Go to Nippori or Ueno to buy tickets. 2:52-4:05 Tips on express train Tip 1 - Arrive to the station 15-20 minutes early (on return) There is always a long line at the ticket booth and the platform to get on the train might be quite far from the gate so make sure to arrive early. Tip 2 - Use ticket machine when in hurry Usually you don't need to wait in line for ticket machines to buy a ticket and takes only about 5 minutes. Consider this as an option when you are in hurry. Tip 3 - Sit at the front of the car Luggage compartment is located at the front and the end of the each car of express train. People get stuck when getting the luggage upon arrivals. It is stressful to worry about if you can get out or not so it's good to sit at the front. (the end is ok too.) Note: About tickets when you buy tickets by credit card, you will receive 3 tickets - an express train ticket, receipt, and credit card receipt. You need to show only the train ticket to the train attendant. CORRECTION: X 4 ticket → ◉ 3 tickets (I was with my gf so we had 4 tickets.) 4:05 - 5:22 Bus - LCC (Tokyo Shuttle and Access Narita) can take you to/from Tokyo and Ginza Station. - Limousine Bus runs to/from major hotels. 5:23 - 6:05 How to take the bus -Limousine Bus and Tokyo Shuttle - At Narita Airport on the first floor, you can find ticket machines and man booth. -Access Narita - All you need to do is go to the train stop and pay on the bus. No reservation needed. Bus Mission from Kuala Lumpur to Penang, Malaysia (Travel Vlog 18)

15:48
Our bus journey from Kuala Lumpur to Penang, Malaysia. There are few different transportation options from Kuala Lumpur to Penang island but as a budget traveler, I decided to choose the cheapest option to save money. One of the quickest and straightforward travel option to Penang island from Kuala Lumpur is by train but we decide to have a bus trip to Penang, Malaysia and share it with the next budget traveler. Before we said goodbye to Kuala Lumpur we went to exchange money and eat a nice Indian meal. When we were all ready we start our journey to Penang, Malaysia. Although we take a wrong metro line to the bus stop we eventually arrive at the bus stop and take the first bus to Penang, Malaysia. When we arrive at the Butterworth Bus Terminal we take the ferry to Penang island. It was a long trip with ups and downs. We end up not saving much but it was a nice travel day from Kuala Lumpur to Penang. I didn't realize how long it would take to travel from Kuala Lumpur to Penang. The ferry portion was easy, as was the initial train, the only long part was the 5 hours bus journey covering the most distance from KL to Penang, Malaysia. We left Kuala Lumpur bound for Georgetown, Penang. It was meant to be a simple metro train to the bus station, however, we got accidentally got on the wrong train! If you want to find out how to get from Kuala Lumpur to Penang by bus keep watching and you will find all the travel information you need. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ABOUT LOVE LIVE DISCOVER CHANNEL I focus on delivering travel information videos for the travellers about different holiday attractions and locations together with travel hacks. I am a travel vlogger. Nor I or my girlfriend are wealthy, we simply work for few months save money and budget travel until we run out of money and repeat it again. I grow up in a community that pressured me to have a regular job and live a safe life although there is nothing wrong with that it was not for me. I could not find happiness in a routine lifestyle. At first, I tried to be businessman believing money and success would fulfill my life but soon I lost the control of my work-life balance and decide to change my life plan and start travelling the world. I did not know what was the right path for me so I decided to go to Australia with work and travel visa. That was one of the best decision I have made. I have been on many holidays and trips before but this was my first travel experience. I learned surfing, get into traveller community and had a road trip from Perth to Sydney. Although travelling let me see lots of amazing things and experience incredible moment it was not them that make me fall in love with full time travelling. It was seeing regular things but still feeling joy, facing problems and turning them to good memories to look back to. After travelling full time for a year and falling in love with traveling. I decided to make travel films to share information about travel destinations and holiday attractions so the next person has an easier path. I also wanted to share my travel journey with my travel vlogs to prove that you don’t have to be rich to be a travel around the world. You can simply budget travel.
