Standard Way To Include JS And CSS In WordPress

02:27
WordPress is a largely used software in the world of web. Thousands of theme and plugin authors are contributed to WordPress. We cant avoid use of plugin or sometimes theme for our website. Every plugin or theme developer add JavaScript and CSS as per requirement. If one does not add it in standard way then it can be problematic. Lets say we are using 2 plugins X and Y. In X’s plugin author included jquery.js in bad way. Now Y’s plugin author also including jquery.js file which causing issue. It may be because jquery.js file added twice which may be of different versions. WordPress provides a system to add JS and CSS files. Every developr should use that system only. I this tutorial, you can see the best practice for it. -~-~~-~~~-~~-~- Please watch: "How To Add Two Step Authentication On WordPress Website" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q30vfFbNnJ4 -~-~~-~~~-~~-~-

JavaScript Standard, CSS Keyframes and UI: #1.20 the latest News (the Good Parts of the Frontend)

05:01
Hi! Let's talk today about The #JavaScript Standard, #CSS Keyframes and User Interface. I'm Anatol and you are watching the Good Parts of the #Frontend #development. Let's start with the article "The #JavaScript #Standard" at Ponyfoo. Nicolas Bevacqua rants about a Brief History of #JavaScript Standards, #Browser Support and Complementary Tooling and proposes to take a look at the Future of #Javascript. In case you are keen on JavaScript latest trends, probably you’ll find the "JavaScript Rising Stars" worth reading. It's a complete overview of the current state of the JavaScript landscape, by the numbers. You'll figure out which projects got traction in 2016, by comparing the numbers of stars added on Github, over the last 12 months. If you are a fan of 3D in a browser then you should read the first part in a series of "Three.js 101". In this article you'll learn not only about Scene and Camera, Geometry and Material, but also about Animation and debugging the code. ThreeJS lets us work with 3D graphics on the browser, using WebGL in a very simple way. CSS is amazing. Ana Tudor has proved it one more time. In her post using just CSS keyframe animation she coded a pure CSS random rainbow particle explosion. Often I refer to performance in the frontend development. I think it's a big deal. "Understanding the Critical Rendering Path" by Ire Aderinokun is one of the articles on this subject. Let's talk a little bit about the User Interface. I draw your attention to the article "How to use colors in UI Design" by Wojciech Zieliński on Prototypr blog. Here you can get familiarized with the 60–30–10 Rule being applicable to your design. Color is a tricky concept to master, especially in the digital era. Therefore the author points out several tools that can be of use. Another interesting article on topic is "BUILDING APPS FOR KIDS" by Tanya Unger on InvisionApp blog. I found this post extremely useful. All my professional life I’m developping the applications for the adult users, but I believe it's very important to keep in mind all age group of the users. This principles could be considered for your next application. Here is one more peak: Enki dot com. There you can find a mobile application for our daily workout. You train your mind by flexing your developer's brain muscles. Everyday you’re offered new challenges to level up your programming skills and sharpen your knowledge. I like this idea. If you like this video give it "thumbs up". Thanks for watching and stay curious. Intro to ARIA -- A11ycasts #13

09:16
ARIA 1.1 Spec: https://goo.gl/1rGD7S ARIA Authoring Practices 1.1: https://www.w3.org/TR/wai-aria-practices-1.1/ Here on a11ycasts I always try to encourage developers to use native controls rather than roll their own mainly because you get semantics and keyboard functionality for free. But there are situations where you need to build something and there's no native analog in the platform. For these occasions when you need to go offroad and build your own control, the Web Content Accessibility Initiatives Accessible Rich Internet Applications spec (WAI-ARIA) can help you add in the semantics your new custom control is missing. Today on the show I'll cover what ARIA is from a high level and show off some of the features and relationships ARIA let's you take advantage of. Why do semantics matter? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g2tzEil5TL0 Watch all A11ycasts episodes: https://goo.gl/06qEUW Subscribe to the Chrome Developers YouTube channel for updates on new episodes of A11ycasts: http://goo.gl/LLLNvf

Ends July 24th, 2015, get in your bid before it's gone. http://www.ebay.com/itm/291518238889 Dave can be seen wearing the same jersey in his Style Cats section at 0:22, 2:25 and other clips in the section circa 1995. From Dave's FB page: "Since Glenn Salyers was an active member of the Standard Byke Company team I've listed one of my last and most valued pieces of Standard memorabilia on Ebay in his honor. 100% of the sale will go to Glenn's Road2Recovery Foundation Fund. I haven't decided exactly how valuable this jersey is to me, but rest assured if it hasn't gotten over $100 I WILL be the highest bidder. This is an artifact from an amazing time for me, essentially the beginning of my BMX career, let's help Glenn and find it a new home. Web Assembly (WASM) is a binary file with its own format, in which you can turn any programming language, such as C and C++, and run it in your user browser like you would any other JavaScript (JS) code. It is fast, efficient, and you can use the language of your choice instead of having to learn the special language of JS. In this video, Alex demonstrates an example of how WASM is used. Max Stoiber on Styled-Components

06:26
Max Stoiber on Styled-Components Styled-components is a library that allows for the injection of CSS into JavaScript . While it often looks strange at first glance, Max guarantees that users will love it once they give it a chance. The simple organization matched with standard CSS syntax makes for clear and understandable code for both JavaScript and CSS developers. Max and his team started styled-components in React because that felt it was a natural implementation given the structure of React. However, they are trying it out in Angular and Vue and hope to expand to Ember in the future. Max was first introduced to React while doing an internship in London. He has liked being a part of the React open source community but looks forward to more cross pollination between different frameworks. Mike Tylor - WEB COMPATIBLE JAVASCRIPT AND CSS

29:20
What does it mean for JavaScript and CSS to be—or not to be—compatible with the web? Is it possible for some code written last week to continue to work in a web browser 10 years from now? Likewise, could existing code in the wild complicate adding JavaScript language features (i.e., ES2015+) or fixing mistakes in web APIs? In this talk I'll discuss some of the issues that arise when browser vendors attempt to cleanup the messy platform we call the web, either by adding new language features and DOM APIs or removing old ones (if such a thing is even possible)—while attempting to remain backwards compatible(-ish). I'll even talk about some controversial moves made by browsers to support non-standard (cough webkit prefixes) CSS and JS for compatibility reasons.

HTML at Udemy: https://udemy.com/web-dev-html HTML : Structure of a web Page - Playlist : https://bit.ly/2IRpEla CSS: Design of a web Page - Playlist : https://bit.ly/2IKplbG What is JavaScript? It is a client-side scripting language especially existing for Web, App & Mobile development. Recent works have led JS into Machine Learning too. Now it is no more just a client-side programming language, but a server-side & database side language too. Something about JS: - Limited features - Cannot communicate with the file system directly. - Does not have similar features as Other programming languages - The classes in JavaScript aren’t actually Classes. - However, it is great at manipulating Web Pages. - Lots of frameworks and libraries for plenty of platforms. Like React, React Native, Angular, Vue, Electron, Tensorflow JS. But, Java is in no way related to JavaScript JavaScript came after Java It was named so, to gain popularity JavaScript’s real name is ECMAScript ( ES ) What will we learn in this Series? - JavaScript/ES6+ syntax, loop, conditional statements, functions. - JavaScript DOM - JavaScript/ES6+ advanced topics like - Class - Symbol - Sets - Maps - Promises - Proxy - Generators Some Links to refer: On Instagram: @developer_tharun My LinkedIn: https://linkedin.com/in/tharunshiv Github: https://github.com/tharunshiv twitter: https://twitter.com/followtharun Blog: https://tharunshiv.ml This tutorial was recorded using the Blue Snowball ice microphone from Amazon. So high clarity audio here. There are 3 basic languages to develop a website. 1 HTML - Hyper Text Markup Language 2 CSS - Cascading Style Sheets 3 Javascript What is HTML? HTML is the standard markup language for creating Web pages. HTML stands for Hyper Text Markup Language HTML describes the structure of Web pages using markup HTML elements are the building blocks of HTML pages HTML elements are represented by tags HTML tags label pieces of content such as heading, paragraph, and so on. What is CSS? CSS stands for Cascading Style Sheets CSS describes how HTML elements are to be displayed on the screen, paper, or in other media CSS saves a lot of work. It can control the layout of multiple web pages all at once External stylesheets are stored in CSS files Browsers do not display the HTML tags but use them to render the content of the page. What is Javascript? JavaScript is a programming language that allows you to implement complex things on web pages. Every time a web page does more than just sit there and display static information for you to look at, Right from displaying timely content updates, or interactive maps, or animated 2D/3D graphics, or scrolling video jukeboxes, etc. You can bet that JavaScript is probably involved. It is the third layer of the layer cake of standard web technologies, two of which (HTML and CSS).

HTML5 Tutorial For Beginners - part 1 of 6 - Getting Started

07:17
http://www.LittleWebHut.com This series of videos demonstrates how to write HTML code that is compliant with the new HTML5 standards. These videos are good for beginners. Part 1: This video describes HTML tags, elements, and attributes. The new HTML5 doctype declaration is shown as well as the method for specifying the character encoding for the document. The basic structure of an HTML document is also shown. This video introduces the html, head, meta, title, body, and p tags. Part 2: This video describes how to use text. The p tag is demonstrated and the heading tags are introduced. The br tag is also shown. This video also touches on the importance of CSS. A quick demonstration of CSS is shown to center some text and to change its color. In older versions of HTML, text could be centered by using the align attribute. However, this attribute is deprecated and is not valid HTML5. While the align attribute may still work in your browser, it is not compliant with HTML5 standards. Therefore, learning CSS can be very beneficial when working with HTML5 code. Part 3: This video demonstrates how to use images and hyperlinks. The difference between relative and absolute addressing is covered. This video shows the height and width attributes used with the img tag. In older versions of HTML, the height and width attributes could be specified in pixels or as a percentage. However, it is not valid HTML5 to specify these values as a percentage. If a percentage value is desired then CSS can be used. Part 4: This video introduces 2 elements that are new to HTML5, the audio and video elements. While older browsers don't support these new elements, the popular newer browsers do. Link to the code used in this video. http://www.littlewebhut.com/html5/the_basics/

Building a Viking House with Hand Tools: A Bushcraft Project (PART 1)

26:47
We build a bushcraft viking house in the woods using hand tools only. Part 1 focuses on cutting the cedar logs for the foundations of the viking house. The foundations are only going to be two cedar logs high. The hand tools we use are an axe, saw, hammer, and wrecking bar. We begin by using an axe and saw to create saddle notches to make the log cabin foundation. We are only building the foundation two cedar logs high, because the timber frame of the roof will come right down to the forest floor. We use 10 logs overall for the foundation of the viking shelter. We burned the ends of the support stakes using Shou-Sugi Ban. An ancient wood preserving technique invented by the Japanese. It helps to evaporate any moisture in the wood and creates a sealed, protective layer to help prevent it from rotting as quickly. Cedar is pretty rot proof and is often used in Log Cabin building. We cook up some food over the fire and then finish the foundation of the Bushcraft Viking House in the woods. In Part 2, we will be focusing on building the timber frame of the structure. Using cedar logs and hand tools. We hope to build a viking long pit, raised beds, a door and a porch. Eventually we hope to cook venison and other food over the open fire inside the viking camp. What is bootstrap

06:28
twitter bootstrap tutorial for beginners twitter bootstrap for beginners benefits of bootstrap framework advantages of bootstrap framework twitter bootstrap benefits what is responsive web design what is responsive website what is responsive design use of bootstrap responsive web development responsive web app In this video we will discuss 1. What is bootstrap 2. Advantages of using bootstrap Bootstrap is a free, open-source and is the most popular HTML, CSS, and JavaScript framework developed by twitter for creating responsive web applications. It includes HTML and CSS based design templates for common user interface components like Buttons, Dropdowns, Typography, Tabs, Forms, Tables, Navigations, Alerts, Modals, Accordion, Carousel etc. along with optional JavaScript extensions. Bootstrap framework is based on open standards - HTML, CSS and JavaScript. This means bootstrap can be used with any server side technology and any platform. You can use it with any web application built with any server side technology like ASP.NET, JAVA, PHP etc. What are the advantages of using bootstrap Supports responsive design : One of the greatest advantages of using bootstrap is that it helps us create responsive web applications faster and easier. So the obvious question that comes to our mind is, what is a responsive web application? A responsive web application automatically adapts to different screen sizes (i.e desktop computers, laptops, tablets. mobile phones etc). A responsive application provides optimal viewing and interaction experience i.e easy reading and navigation with a minimum of resizing, panning, and scrolling across a wide range of devices. So you don't have to worry about your application not being compatible with multiple devices. The images at the following links shows how a responsive and non-responsive application looks like on a mobile device. http://www.webnersolutions.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/responsive-vs-non-responsive-web-design1.jpg At the following link is a live responsive application example. Notice as we resize the browser, the content automatically adpats to the screen size. http://bootstrapdocs.com/v3.0.3/docs/examples/jumbotron/ Saves lot of development time : One of the biggest advantages of using Bootstrap is that it saves lot of development time. Instead of writing code from the scratch, bootstrap offers ready made blocks of code that you can use and customize to suit your application requirements. There are also many websites out there that offer free and paid Bootstrap themes that saves even more development time. Consistency : Bootstrap was developed by Twitter to encourage consistency across thier internal tools by giving their developers a centralised development code. Since all the developers are working using a centralised code, the end result is consistent regardless of who’s working on the project and which web browser is being used. Customizable : If you are using only a few features of bootstrap, you can customize to download only those features using the following bootstrap customize page. http://getbootstrap.com/customize/ Support : As Bootstrap is the most popular framework, it has a very large community base and excellent documentation. Bootstrap's excellent documentation, examples and demos helps a developer learn bootstrap quickly even if you are new to it. If you ever run into an issue you will usually get help quickly and easily from the vast online community and web forums. In our next video we will discuss, downloading, setting up and understanding different bootstrap components. Please stay tuned.
