For legal advice, please contact a lawyer. Question 1: Will you get sued if you use product images from Aliexpress suppliers? The answer to this is almost certainly no. In China, the culture around copyright is very different to the western world. In China, the culture around copyright is that if something can be easily copied and can benefit others, then that is more important than protecting the rights of a single individual. It is a cultural difference. As a result, it’s very easy to get away with piracy in China, which is why pirated movies/music/games are sold freely on the streets. In fact, Chinese manufacturers copy each other all the time. Not only do they produce the same products, they steal images from each other. If you go to Aliexpress you will see that different manufacturers are producing the same items, and they are using the same images. As a result, it is extremely unlikely that any Aliexpress supplier would try to pursue you in court for any copyright issues. If they were going to sue anyone - it would be the manufacturers that are copying them - although due to the cultural differences, that is also extremely unlikely. If you’re still worried, you can contact the Aliexpress suppliers and ask them if they are OK with you reusing their images. Question 2: How Can I Avoid Being Sued for Copyright Images? They might not care in China if you copy images - but in the west, they sure do! Even if your website is not making any money, you can still be pursued legally and sued for using images without permission - so it’s very important that you don’t use copyrighted images on your website! A good place to find images you can use is with Google Images: 1) Go to Google Images 2) Click settings. 3) Click advanced search. 4) Type in what you’re searching for. 5) Scroll down to usage rights. Select “free to use, share or modify, even commercially.” 6) Click search. You’ll be surprised at how many images you’re allowed to use! So don’t get lazy and use images that are copyrighted. Use Google to find free images you’re allowed to use. Question 3: Can I Sell Aliexpress Products that are Trademarked? No - do NOT sell products that are trademarked. For example, in the video, Sarah compares two items - one that is a generic self-stir mug, and one that is a self-stir mug with Harry Potter imagery on it. Do NOT sell the Harry Potter mug, as it is illegal. If you sell products with trademarks, you aren’t just risking getting sued - you’re risking having legal action taken against you.

"Why is my shopify store getting traffic but no sales". There isn't just one answer to that question, there's a few, this video is the most in-depth answer you could possibly hope for. 1.) You are treating people like robots I’ve literally seen sites that say CLICK THE ADD TO CART BUTTON NOW in capital letters, as if people are ever going to do that. Countdown timers on every page that repeat themselves when they run out, sales pop notifications which are so over-used and take up a quarter of the screen on mobile. A good rule of thumb is that if you wouldn’t trust buying from your store, then nobody else would, please look at your site as if you were a customer. 2.) Trying to sell 4388 products at once In-case you haven’t noticed, shopify is a huge trend right now, and it’s very competitive. Before you start selling hundreds of products every week, you need to learn to sell one. You have to sell that one product better than everyone else can, so focus on one product, put all your effort into it, and monitor its performance while making slight tweaks. Don’t waste time adding 48384 products to your store, add 5-20, make them look decent, then make one look absolutely out of this world, and focus all your marketing on that one product for a while, you will soon start to learn what works and what doesn’t. 3.) Putting every single item on sale What a great way to come across as a reputable brand by putting every single item on sale for half the price, while making your sale prices double the cost of Amazon’s normal prices. Just stop it, seriously. Look at your store from the eyes of your customer. You’re trying to come across as a brand with high quality products, not the most valuable store in the world. If people wanted the cheapest price they’d go to Amazon/eBay. Provide value in other ways than price. 4.) Trying to be a generalist store Again, your dropshipping store isn’t going to be the next Amazon, so why try make it like that? With e-commerce being so competitive, you have to really stand out, so why make your store so generic? Focus on one target audience, let’s say you wanted to do a Pet store, why not narrow it down to dogs? Because dogs is way too competitive, why not narrow it down to German Shepherds? Great, but when you’re starting out, why not start out being a premium German Shepherd Necklace store? Now you’re getting somewhere, anyone who loves German Shepherds that see’s your dedicated German Shepherd Necklace store will fall in love with it. Start off super niche, when you market to everyone to appeal to no-one, start out with VERY specific products, and then once you gain some momentum you can slowly expand, think long-term. 5.) No effort on branding at all Branding is what separates a business, from an aliexpress get rich quick dropshipper. It will make you seem 100x more legit, more valuable, and give people a reason to buy off you. 6.) Not taking the time to learn the skills it takes to run a business So many people want to be the next huge e-commerce giant, but have no interest in actually learning the skills it takes to run a business 7.) Winging it – the first step in every business is to write a business plan, go to any investors without a plan and they will laugh you out the door, there’s a reason for this 8.) Horrible UX/UI design, keep it simple User experience is very important, keep your UX/UI design clean, make your website easy to navigate. Use clear navigation menus, don’t disrupt the user experience with loads of popups, use a back to the top button for mobile for long pages where they have to scroll down quite a bit. Or, ask an expert for a UX/UI review, there’s a few on fiverr, although I’ve never used them so I can’t vouch for the quality, look around. 9.) Most websites aren’t complete A simple spelling mistake could change someone’s mind from buying from your store, make sure your website is complete 10.) Copy and paste job Don’t just copy and paste your descriptions, spend time writing unique descriptions that really sell your products and let people know why they need them. 11.) You’ve put in no effort with the product pictures Go onto pixabay, pexels, other free stock image websites and use stock images to spice up your product pictures, this will separate you from your competition 12.) No product videos Product videos are a great way to promote your products, show the size of your products, and really compliments them like no picture can 13.) Your marketing sucks 14.) You are neglecting your organic social media following 15.) Not providing any actual value to people 16.) So one of the first things and the reason I waited to talk about adding products until now this far into the course is because you need to do keyword research before you even add your products I'm you can't add your products and go back later and do it but let me explain what I mean here you need to know what your products should be called because a lot of times what you think they should be called and what the rest of the United States or the world thinks that you should be called are two very different things let me give you a quick example of what I'm talking about here. So here is two identical products they're obviously the same thing but some people might call it a highway short and the other people might call it a fold-over short. So what did I do I did my keyword research and went into Google and said what do most people call this. So I typed in highway shorts and fold-over shorts actually to be fair I typed in highway Stan shorts and fold over dance shorts and what I found is that way more people type in high-waisted shorts then fold over shorts. So I'm not going to name this a fold over short because it just doesn't make sense. So do your keyword research before you're add your products now if you want to know the actual step-by-step on how to add a products it's super simple I have an example of how to do that in Shopify there's a link down below in this page where you can click on it I actually release it on my YouTube channel and I think it's really easy to do but if you have questions and you want to watch me do it click on the link down below and you can see the step-by-step on actually how to do it but in this video this lesson I'm gonna specifically talk about some of the tips when you are adding your product. So share the tips one of the things you want to make sure is that your product is SEO properly. So as you're uploading it add the things that we've been talking about in this section the meta title the meta description h tags you know maybe even some h tags make sure that your image is properly SEO all that kind of stuff the next thing you're going to do is actually make sure that it has a good description now we've talked about SEO. So much that you're probably brainwashed into thinking it needs to have a ton of keywords yeah that's nice don't get me wrong but do something that's different do something that's interesting something that's gonna grab people's attention remember these are humans look to open their wallet and give you money if you can connect with them if you can make them laugh if you can engage them they're more likely to spend money with you. So look over your all your product descriptions are they boring. Would you buy from you is it something that someone would want to read and maybe even tell their friends about that's what your product description should be they should be unique and they should only be on your website if you're copying and pasting from let's say a manufacturer's website for those people that are reselling other people's goods that's bad come up with your own unique descriptions next thing we're going to talk about is high-quality images you need to not only you need to have high-quality images it's great to have an image of your product you know we're going to talk about other things that you need such as multiple angles but you want a high quality image specifically it's worth paying for if you need to get models for instance it's worth paying for some models obviously if you're just starting out and you don't want to spend the money it's understandable it's better to put up a picture than no picture but high-quality photos with good resolution is really important but another thing is big photos big images now

And we broke it down into 3 major points: Whether you’ve chosen good products for your store Your strategy when advertising products on Facebook Your store design and branding Here’s what we had to say… (Along the way you’ll also find some helpful tips you can even use for your own store) Aspect #1: Whether You’ve Chosen Good Products for Your Store The right product is the “life-blood” of any store. For Lucas, his products were kitchen gadgets. Sort of like kitchen “hacks” designed to make cooking easier. The problem was, these so-called kitchen “hacks” can often be a trap. For 3 reasons: 1. It’s cheap junk that solves fake problems. Unfortunately, the creators of these gadgets often invent or create “fake problems” that very few people have as an excuse to sell a product to merchants. This anti-soup spill funnel is a prime example. Have I ever tipped soup from a pot and had it spill? Definitely. Did it happen enough that I thought I needed to go buy a piece of plastic to fix the problem? No. Instead I just got better at pouring the soup into my bowl. Using the Amazon method I demonstrated in the video is a great way to “verify” whether a product actually solves a problem. *TIP*: If you want to find products that SELL, make sure they 1) solve a REAL problem or 2) Adds an additional bonus to someone's life. 2. There’s no niche to target your Facebook ads Kitchen is a broad niche, so it’s easy to spread yourself too thin when running ads. Not only is it too broad - but you need to find the right product to promote. And promote it in the right way. So what’s the RIGHT way to promote kitchen gadgets? VIDEO ADS! If you weren’t shown how any of these gadgets worked, some of them could easily be mistaken for Star Trek props. A video of these items “in action” is the difference between viewers going from “What the hell is that thing?” to “SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!” *TIP*: Use video when it’s hard to tell what your product does. 3. They are easily available in local stores For example, a gadget of yours - a pineapple corer - can easily be found at supermarkets (next to the pineapples). Which makes it seem pretty mundane and reduces its “wow” factor. *TIP*: Find products that customers won’t easily find elsewhere. This makes it seem rare and exclusive. Aspect #2: Your Strategy When Advertising Products on Facebook My first concern was how low you’d priced your items for. As a rule of thumb, I recommend selling your items at 3x the price of its cost. This leaves you a 30-15% profit per sale after expenses. Example: A mug costs $3 and sold for $9. For most winning items, ½ of the revenue from the sale goes towards advertising costs (your Facebook ad). So when we deduct the advertising expense ($4.50) plus the cost to buy the mug ($3) - we’re left with a profit of $1.50. Now let’s do the math with one of the products you’re selling: Vegetable slicers. You currently sell this in your store for $6. On AliExpress, the cost to buy a vegetable slicer is $2.75. When you deduct advertising costs plus the price of the item, you’re left with just $0.25 profit. Which isn’t even close to making a “decent” profit. *TIP*: Go through and check the prices of your items to make sure that they are priced high enough to be profitable. Aspect #3: Your Store Design and Branding Here’s the brutal truth: Your store lacks in branding and purpose. It’s clear that your store is designed to solve annoying problems and make cooking easier using kitchen “hacks.” Yet, you fail mention ANY of this on your site. Instead, you talk about how you’re here to help people “design a kitchen” in “their own way.” *TIP*: Change the language on the site to not only reflect WHAT you’re selling, but to make it look like you’re passionate about it too. On the plus side though, you did an awesome job in adding trust badges and emphasizing the benefits in your product description copy. But now to take your store from “good” to “great” - consider the following areas: *Your trust emblems are placed awkwardly. Align them to the left with the text and “buy” button to give it that professional look *Get rid of ANY low quality images in your product listing that look pixelated. You can often find it just by doing a Google image search for the title of the AliExpress item you want to sell. *Add a favicon to your store. A great image for that would be your logo image. So just take this and turn it into a favicon!

In this video, you will learn how to use Shopify to import multiple products at once. 1. On the right-hand side of your screen, select the "Products" tab 2. Once you are there, select the "Import" tab located directly under the Products heading 3. A window will pop up asking you where from your computer you want to import from 4. Locate the CSV file you are going to use for your Shopify store 5. When you have selected the correct file, click "Upload File" 6. A new window will now pop up which will allow you to preview one of the products you are uploading CSV stands for Comma-Separated Values. This file type is great for storing data for multiple items if you are expecting to import them.

Let’s see what this Shopify dropshipping store did right - and how it could improve! #1: The Store Design & Branding (tips for improving Shopify store design & branding) This store did not have a custom logo. We highly recommend that you invest in a custom logo for your store. You can buy one from Fiverr for $5 (plus a 50 cent transaction fee). The store homepage also looked very empty as there was very little content on it. An easy way to add additional content to make it look bigger would be to preview products that you are selling on the store there. In addition, this watch store had watches for men, women and children - yet the colour scheme was very male-centric. It had the same colour scheme that you would expect to see in a male accessory store. This immediately would put off females that had come to the site. Something else that the site needed to work on was the fact that it was emphasizing heavily that profits were being donated to charity. On the homepage there was no mention of what charity it was, and when a customer navigated to the page that was supposed to explain the mission, there was no explanation about why the profits were being donated. Unless the customer identifies with your mission and believes in it, they’d rather just buy a watch cheaper elsewhere. #2: The Products Listed in the Store (tips for picking winning products for your Shopify dropshipping store). The male watches listed were very generic. They were nice watches - but there was nothing about them that appealed to people’s hobbies/passions. Picking products that do this are key to triggering impulse purchases. To help explain this, Sarah used an example in the video: a nice looking mug with a flower on it, versus a mug that makes your face look like a cat face when you drink out of it. No one would purchase the flower mug because while it is a nice mug, they can buy a mug like that elsewhere. The mug that turns your face into a cat is a lot more exciting because it triggers emotional feelings in people that love cats/cute things. The watches in the female section had a lot more potential as there were several watches that appealed to niches/hobbies/passions. Some examples included a peacock watch, a watch with a world map on it and a sailing watch that featured an anchor. #3: The Product Listings & Descriptions (tips for improving your Shopify dropshipping product description copy). The product listing and description is where a lot of dropshippers cut corners. They are more likely to put time into designing a nice homepage than creating a good product description. This is a major mistake because no matter what, for a customer to purchase the item, they have to go to your product listing and see the description. It is a key element of your sales funnel. Here are some tips Sarah gave the subscriber to improve their product listing: * For the title, Sarah recommended that this subscriber change the name of the product to something that was relevant to the niche, and to try and use an emotive word in the title. * She thought the price was a good price - it was under $15 which means it is priced low enough to be an impulse purchase. * She liked that the thumbnail picture was the product on a white background, but recommended adding in photos showing the product being used in real life. * She recommended uploading photos large enough so that the customer could zoom in on them as this has been proven to increase conversions. * She was happy to see that there was a very clear shipping disclaimer. Doing this will greatly decrease refunds, disputes and chargebacks. * She recommended that the subscriber update their product description. It is currently bullet points that point out product features. She recommended adding in 2-3 paragraphs that sell the customer on the benefits of the product and how it will improve their lives and to use emotive words. She also recommended adding in trust words. * She recommended turning reviews off unless you have at least 1 review for the product to upload. * She recommended having a related products section at the bottom of the page to encourage cross-sells. Take a look at your store, and see if you are making any of these mistakes for yourself and fix them in your Shopify dropshipping store!
