South Korea, Earth's Hidden Wilderness Full HD Documentary 2018 Watch: The White Lions https://youtu.be/hiTHB2RtC3c Once a mountain kingdom of ancient palaces and emperors, Korea in the 21st century is largely known for its modern cities and decades of conflict. Tensions between North and South may be what defines it to outsiders but beyond the battle scars there is another side to Korea. In the south are large pockets of untouched wilderness where extraordinary animals flourish and Koreans continue to practice age-old traditions in tandem with the seasons and with nature. It is in these connections, rather than in division, that we see the true Korea. At the southernmost tip of the peninsular we follow a pod of bottlenose dolphins through the volcanic islands of Jeju. They click at each other as they encounter a human in their midst, but the dolphins know this diver well - they have shared the ocean with the Haenyeo, or sea women, for thousands of years. We travel onwards to the isolated island of Marado, where three generations of sea women are preparing for a dive. Today is the start of the conch season, and they work hard whatever the weather to maximise their catch. In the grounds of an ancient palace on the mainland, a raccoon dog family takes advantage of a rare event. Just once every five years, hundreds of cicadas emerge from below ground providing an easy feast for the raccoon dogs who voraciously fill their bellies. Those that escape their jaws make for the safety of the trees, where they metamorphosise into their flying form. On the mud flats of Suncheon Bay we find a habitat that is neither land nor sea. Only recently has the ecological value of mudflats been recognised. A staggering 50 per cent of the earth's oxygen is produced by phytoplankton - microscopic algae that are found here in great abundance. That is why the mudflats are known locally as the lungs of the earth. Plankton is far from the only life here - the mud of the bay is rich in nutrients and supports one of the most diverse ecosystems on the peninsula. We follow the story of a young mudskipper who has emerged for his first mating season. His journey to find love is paved with obstacles.

During the Stone Age, humans shifted from the nomadic lifestyle to the more settled life of farmers. A documentary on an important period of human history. Watch Part 2 here: https://youtu.be/XSGRd5Ve1zI Around 12,000 years ago, humans underwent a transition from nomads to settlers. That epoch, the Stone Age, produced monumental building works. Part 1 of this two-part documentary illuminates the cultural background of these structures and shows the difficulties Stone Age humans had to contend with. Until around 10,000 BC, humans lived as hunters and gatherers. Then an irreversible change began. Settlements formed. "For millions of years humans lived as foragers and suddenly their lives changed radically. This was far more radical than the start of the digital age or industrialization," says prehistorian Hermann Parzinger, president of the Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation. For a long time, scholars believed that a sedentary lifestyle was a prerequisite for constructing large buildings. Then archaeologist Klaus Schmidt discovered Göbekli Tepe in southern Turkey, a 12,000-year-old complex of stone blocks weighing up to 20 tons. Its builders were still hunter- gatherers. They decorated the stone columns with ornate animal reliefs. How these structures were used and who was allowed access to them remains a mystery. But we now know that the site was abandoned and covered over once settlements took root. Human development continued its course. The discovery of agriculture and animal husbandry led to larger settlements, a changed diet and ultimately to dependence on material goods. This social upheaval in the late Neolithic period has influenced our lives up to the present day. But experts agree that the monuments of the Stone Age prove that humans have gigantomanic tendencies and a need to immortalize themselves. _______ DW Documentary gives you knowledge beyond the headlines. BBC Documentary - Living in Nepal In this first episode, Kate travels to south west Nepal in search of the country's last community of nomads, the Raute people. Almost all of the Raute population has already settled in Nepal and India - just one group of 140 people remain living as nomads. These hunter-gatherers still move camp every few weeks through the steeply wooded hills and mountains in one of the poorest countries on the planet. Life for this last Raute group is increasingly tough, as they face pressure to settle from Nepal's government and hostility from the farmers on whose land they camp. The Raute are famously private, and it proves a difficult task for Kate to get to know them. At the beginning they are wary, only engaging with her to ask for money. With perseverance and a rather unlikely rendition of Old MacDonald, Kate is slowly accepted into this tightly knit and proud community. But it's a demanding and emotional journey as she witnesses them move ever further from their ancient traditions and encounters first hand the hostility that the Raute face from mainstream Nepali society. As she helps them move camp twice, bearing heavy loads up punishingly steep hills, she comes face to face - and almost fist to fist - with the conflicts and contradictions facing Nepal's last nomads.

These islanders are infamous for their choice to remain extremely isolated, and their hostility towards all attempts to establish contact. The Secrets Of Wild Canada Must See! Best Natural World Documentary 2016 Spirit bears hold a prominent place in the oral traditions of the indigenous peoples of the area. They have also been featured in a National Geographic documentary. Scientists have found that black bears are not as effective at catching fish as white bears, as the white bears are less visible from the perspective of the fish. While at night, the two colours of bears have similar success rates at catching fish, such as salmon, during the day, the white bears are 30% more effective. The Kermode bear was named after Francis Kermode, former director of the Royal B.C. Museum, who researched the subspecies and was a colleague of William Hornaday, the zoologist who described it. A common mispronunciation of "Kermode" as "ker-MOH-dee" differs from the actual pronunciation of the Kermode surname, which originates on the Isle of Man and is properly pronounced "KER-mode", which is the usual way to pronounce "Kermode bear". Although in the Isle of Man the name is pronounced Ker-MODE. The Asiatic lion, a subspecies that split from African lions around 100,000 years ago, once prowled across Asia and the Middle East. Sadly, the lions were hunted nearly to extinction, with as few as ten individuals left in existence by the late 1800s. The jaguar is the third-largest- National Geographic The Jaguar Big Cats Animals Nature Wildlife Documentary feline after the tiger and the lion, and the largest in the Americas. The jaguar's present range extends from Southwestern United States and Mexico across much of Central America and south to Paraguay and northern Argentina. Apart from a known and possibly breeding population in Arizona (southeast of Tucson) and the bootheel of New Mexico, the cat has largely been extirpated from the United States since the early 20th century. This spotted cat most closely resembles the leopard physically, although it is usually larger and of sturdier build and its behavioral and habitat characteristics are closer to those of the tiger. While Jaguar Documentary - The Real King Of The Jungle - History Channel HDdense rainforest is its preferred habitat, the jaguar will range across a variety of forested and open terrains. Phylogenetic studies generally have shown the clouded leopard (Neofelis nebulosa) is basal to this group. However, DNA evidence is inconclusive and the position of the jaguar relative to the other species varies between studies. But when an Antarctic ice shelf the size of Manhattan collapsed in less than a month in 2002, it shocked scientists and raised the alarming possibility that Antarctica may be headed for a meltdown. Even a 10 percent loss of Antarctica's ice would cause catastrophic flooding of coastal cities unlike any seen before in human history. What are the chances of a widespread melt? "Secrets Beneath the Ice" explores whether Antarctica's climate past can offer clues to what may happen. NOVA follows a state-of-the-art expedition that is drilling three-quarters of a mile into the Antarctic seafloor. The drill is recovering rock cores that reveal intimate details of climate and fauna from a time in the distant past when the Earth was just a few degrees warmer than it is today. As researchers grapple with the harshest conditions on the planet, they discover astonishing new clues about Antarctica's past—clues that carry ominous implications for coastal cities around the globe. documentary 2018, documentary music, documentary space, documentary song, documentary war, documentary crime, documentary channel, documentary ww2, documentary science, documentary hd, documentary, documentary now, documentary about, documentary ancient, documentary aliens, documentary animal, documentary america, documentary art, documentary about god, documentary amazon, documentary about love, documentary ai, a documentary film, a documentary about depression, a documentary about life, a documentary story of the buddha's life, a documentary of prostitution area in bangladesh, a documentary about space, a documentary about the important things, a documentary about canada, a documentary on school dress code, a documentary about animals, documentary bbc, documentary best, documentary bible, documentary bigfoot, documentary brain, documentary business, documentary bangla, documentary babies, documentary brazil, documentary birds, max b documentary, proxima b documentary, r&b documentary, group b documentary, doe b documentary, lil b documentary, mel b documentary, plan b documentary, bun b documentary, b.o.b documentary, documentary china, documentary cars, documentary columbine, documentary cia, documentary children, documentary cold war, documentary culture, documentary cats, documentary comedy, pimp c documentary, andy c documentary, b b c documentary, vitamin c documentary, hep c documentary, d.o.c documentary, hepatitis c documentary, lady c documentary, paul c documentary, washington d.c documentary, documentary death, documentary demons, documentary disaster, documentary dubai, documentary disease, documentary dreams, documentary discovery, documentary dw, documentary documentary, documentary dmt, tenacious d documentary, heavy d documentary, vitamin d documentary, keefe d documentary, initial d documentary, winky d documentary, chuck d documentary, stevie hyper d documentary, lavish d documentary, 1st sfod-d documentary, documentary earth, documentary egypt, documentary economy, documentary eminem, documentary evil, documentary editing, documentary ethiopia, documentary el chapo, documentary english, documentary elon musk, e documentary series boulevard of broken dreams, e documentary selena gomez, eazy e documentary, a&e documentary full episodes, eazy e documentary 2015, jonbenet a&e documentary, poi e documentary, a&e documentary serial killers, maersk triple e documentary, formula e documentary, documentary food, documentary for kids, documentary films, documentary future, documentary fbi, documentary fish, documentary funny, documentary fast, documentary fat, documentary fashion, b.m.f documentary, terminal f documentary, christiane f documentary, f 35 documentary, f 22 raptor documentary, f-14 tomcat documentary, f-16 documentary, f 15 documentary, f scott fitzgerald documentary, f 18 documentary, documentary gangs, documentary ghost, documentary god, documentary gay, documentary guns, documentary gangland, documentary government, documentary greece, documentary giants, documentary gucci, king lil g documentary, warren g documentary, triple g documentary, b.g documentary, kap g documentary, becky g documentary, kenny g documentary, p&g documentary, tom g documentary, ali g documentary, documentary hindi,

An ancient indigenous tribe is on the verge of extinction in India's Andaman Islands. Habitat loss, disease and exploitation could wipe out the 400-strong Jarawa tribe, who still hunt using bows and arrows. Lapses in policing and continued activity by tour operators, who encourage 'human safaris' where Jarawa women and children have in the past performed for tourists, are partly to blame for jeopardising the tribe's existence. Many activists want to close the main road into the tribal reserve to protect the tribe from further interaction with the outside world, but it is a lifeline providing food and work for the island's 600,000 inhabitants. To include or isolate? 101 East's Kathy Hearn reports on an Indian tribe on the edge of extinction.
