The best keynote of Steve Jobs: Introduction of the iPhone 2007 “This is a day I have been looking forward too for 2,5 years” Steve Jobs was the heart of Apple. Under his supervision products where born like the Mac and the iPad. He had a very divers life and was often not the easiest man to work with. But his vision was great. He had an idea on how people should use products and embed them in there lives. Day after day. And you can find that in many great products from Apple. They blend in your life. You use them as you would use your fork and knife. It feels natural. In January 2007 Steve Jobs introduced a new product. In a great keynote he introduced a product that would become a serious game changer. On that day Steve Jobs introduced a new phone. And he called it: iPhone. That day a big part of the world witnessed how one man spoke the legendary words: Today Apple reinvents the phone. And he was right. Even if you are an Apple hater you must agree that Apple changed the way we use mobile phones. The introduction of the iPhone was the beginning of a whole new era. And today millions of people pickup there iPhone to do so much things we couldn’t dream of 10 years ago. Touching the screen with your finger was like magic. And in a very short time it became an ordinary natural thing to do. And that is what Steve Jobs wanted with the iPhone. A natural device that blends in your life. And that’s what he got. The keynote with the introduction of the iPhone made the tech world quiver. Many companies followed and many smartphones have seen daylight. Many new versions of the iPhone appeared. But still it’s unique in its look and feel. We hope the iPhone stays that way for a very long time. This video shows that great moment that a man is standing on a stage and changed the world. He talked and we where listening. We should never forget that. This keynote will be in our thoughts forever. Apple main website: http://www.apple.com iPhone: http://www.apple.com/iphone

He was adopted at birth in San Francisco and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area during the 1960s. He briefly attended Reed College before dropping out and deciding to travel through India to seek enlightenment and study Zen Buddhism. He co-founded Apple in 1976 to sell Wozniak's Apple I personal computer. The duo gained fame and wealth a year later for the Apple II, one of the first highly successful mass-produced personal computers. After leaving Apple, Jobs took a few of its members with him to found NeXT. In 1997, Apple acquired and merged NeXT, allowing Jobs to become CEO once again, reviving the company at the verge of bankruptcy. Jobs worked closely with designer Jonathan Ive to develop a line of products that would have larger cultural ramifications. Jobs helped to initiate the development of the visual effects industry when he funded the spinout of the computer graphics division of Lucasfilm in 1986. He was diagnosed with a pancreatic neuroendocrine tumor in 2003 and died of respiratory arrest related to the tumor on October 5, 2011. ★ RECOMMENDED VIDEOS FOR YOU ★ If you liked this video, you'll love these ones: • Steve Wozniak's Top 10 Rules for Success - https://youtu.be/GrABOzlvJxo • Bill Gates's Top 10 Rules For Success - https://youtu.be/wq-gba5nMrc • Tim Cook's Top 10 Rules For Success - https://youtu.be/Ak5XrbDidTE ❤ HELP TRANSLATE THIS VIDEO ❤ If you loved this video, help people in other countries enjoy it too by making captions for it. http://10KWithScott.com - Lately, I've been all about learning how to optimize and grow my small business. But I guess I'm not the only one looking to the late Steve Jobs for a meaningful message these days. According to Steve Jobs' biographer Carmine Gallo, who spoke to 20/20 about the man tonight, here are the Apple founder's seven principles of success that "anybody can use, to be more successful, to be more innovative, to live an inspired life." 1. Do What You Love, no matter what it happens to be. "Don't settle," said Jobs. "As with all matters of the heart, you'll know when you find it." 2. Put a Dent in the Universe: Have a big, bold, clear, concise vision. "Have the courage to follow your heart and intuition." Says Gallo: "I like to say that your vision should fit inside a Twitter post." 3. Say No To A 1000 Things. "You have to focus -- reduce the clutter, make it simple," says Gallo. In fact, according to 20/20, in the latter years of his life, Jobs wore the same black turtleneck and jeans every day. 4. Kickstart Your Brain By Doing Something New. Case in point: the inspiration for the Apple store came from the Four Seasons -- there's a concierge, a bar, a sleek, comfortable space. 5. Sell Dreams, Not Products. No easy task, but a worthy goal. "When you start asking What Would Steve Jobs do, it's a high bar to reach," says Gallo, "but it's worth reaching." 6. Create Insanely Great Experiences. "Innovation means creating an experience for your customer," says Gallo. 7. Master the Message. Like anyone, Jobs had to learn to become a great speaker and communicator -- but as all the wise words by Jobs that are plastered all over Facebook show, he took the challenge and rocked it. Yeah, when it came to business — and life, for that matter — Steve Jobs didn't mess around. How many of these principles are you already practicing? And what might you implement into your own life? There have been quite a number of books on Public Speaking and Presentation that I have read over the years, however Carmine Gallo's book titled 'The Presentation Secrets of Steve Jobs' is one of those I will rate among the top. Here's why: 1) The amount of research & content given in this power-packed book is pretty phenomenal. Carmine has gone out of his way to study the content, the delivery and the various other nuances that have gone into making Steve Job an icon of Master-Presentation Skills. 2) There were quite a number of examples, anecdotes and illustration to drive home the point. And the points of wisdom were packaged pretty interestingly. What I think stood out was the 'Information Technology' theme the book had throughout its chapters. 3) Carmine also stuck to the theme and he did so with great aplomb, admiration and amazement. The excitement just jumps right out of the book and if you are a Presentation Junkie like I am, you will love this book. And if you admire Steve Jobs as a legend -- this is a must have book. Drawbacks The book as such does not have drawbacks, however, if you are to look at it from a larger perspective, there can be a few areas a few readers may find disappointing. 1) If you are looking for a step by step approach to Presentations & Public Speaking or if you are not a fan or Steve Jobs or if you do not know his history -- you may find this book a bit confusing. 2) The book does not have smart one liners, an appendix of quotes, examples or smart suggestive anecdotes that you can use for different occasions. Many people purchase books on Presentations to find out if they too can get their hands on a treasure chest of gems. So if this is what someone is looking out for -- this book is not for them. 3) Finally, this is a book dedicated for those who like a Research style of writing. It is pretty detailed, intense and thought-provoking. And it revolves around 'Steve Jobs and the IT World'. So anyone expecting anything else -- well, then don't buy the book. Final Verdict I am a hardcore Steve Jobs fan. I am an ardent learner of Presentations. So to me this is a lethal combination which makes me love this book to bits. So if you have either of the two in your Public Speaking DNA, then this is a Must-Have book. Overall Rating 9 out of 10. Loy Machedo loymachedo.com | loymachedo.tv

His parents were two University of Wisconsin graduate students, Joanne Carole Schieble and Syrian-born Abdulfattah Jandali. They were both unmarried at the time. Jandali, who was teaching in Wisconsin when Steve was born, said he had no choice but to put the baby up for adoption because his girlfriend's family objected to their relationship. The baby was adopted at birth by Paul Reinhold Jobs (1922–1993) and Clara Jobs (1924–1986). Later, when asked about his "adoptive parents," Jobs replied emphatically that Paul and Clara Jobs "were my parents." He stated in his authorized biography that they "were my parents 1,000%." Unknown to him, his biological parents would subsequently marry (December 1955), have a second child, novelist Mona Simpson, in 1957, and divorce in 1962. The Jobs family moved from San Francisco to Mountain View, California when Steve was five years old. The parents later adopted a daughter, Patti. Paul was a machinist for a company that made lasers, and taught his son rudimentary electronics and how to work with his hands. The father showed Steve how to work on electronics in the family garage, demonstrating to his son how to take apart and rebuild electronics such as radios and televisions. As a result, Steve became interested in and developed a hobby of technical tinkering. Clara was an accountant who taught him to read before he went to school. Jobs's youth was riddled with frustrations over formal schooling. At Monta Loma Elementary school in Mountain View, he was a prankster whose fourth-grade teacher needed to bribe him to study. Jobs tested so well, however, that administrators wanted to skip him ahead to high school—a proposal his parents declined. Jobs then attended Cupertino Junior High and Homestead High School in Cupertino, California. During the following years Jobs met Bill Fernandez and Steve Wozniak, a computer whiz kid. Following high school graduation in 1972, Jobs enrolled at Reed College in Portland, Oregon. Reed was an expensive college which Paul and Clara could ill afford. They were spending much of their life savings on their son's higher education. Jobs dropped out of college after six months and spent the next 18 months dropping in on creative classes, including a course on calligraphy. He continued auditing classes at Reed while sleeping on the floor in friends' dorm rooms, returning Coke bottles for food money, and getting weekly free meals at the local Hare Krishna temple In 1976, Wozniak invented the Apple I computer. Jobs, Wozniak, and Ronald Wayne, an electronics industry worker, founded Apple computer in the garage of Jobs's parents in order to sell it. They received funding from a then-semi-retired Intel product-marketing manager and engineer Mike Markkula. Through Apple, Jobs was widely recognized as a charismatic pioneer of the personal computer revolution and for his influential career in the computer and consumer electronics fields. Jobs also co-founded and served as chief executive of Pixar Animation Studios; he became a member of the board of directors of The Walt Disney Company in 2006, when Disney acquired Pixar. Former Apple CEO Steve Jobs was the most captivating speaker on the world stage, and truly spawned an intense interest in the mastery of public speaking. Every presentation was like a theatrical experience. There were no bullet points, just images. He rehearsed over hours and days to get everything right. And before he ever began to put his presentation together, he thought through exactly what he wanted to say and deliver. As a communications coach for some of the world's most admired brands, Carmine Gallo watched hundreds of hours of Steve Jobs footage over the years. His book The Presentation Secrets of Steve Jobs combines his journalistic background, his keen eye for detail, plus interviews with Apple employees, here are trademark tips for delivering an unforgettable speech. Annual shareholder meeting on January 30 of 1984. Demo includes: Until 20:40 — main keynote by Steve Jobs 20:40 Presentation Video 30:40 ending of Steve Jobs' keynote 42:00 MacPaint demo (amazing audience reactions) 50:00 MacWrite demo 55:10 Q&A The well-known presentation already available on YouTube is from January 24 of 1984. What’s not so well remembered: Jobs did it all twice, in less than a week. Six days after unveiling the Mac at the Flint Center on the De Anza College campus near the company’s headquarters in Cupertino, Calif., he performed his show all over again at the monthly general meeting of the Boston Computer Society. His host, Jonathan Rotenberg, was a 20-year-old student at Brown University who’d co-founded the BCS in 1977 at the age of 13. On the 30-th birthday of the Mac in 2014, this version became available for the first time in its entirety since it was shot on January 30, 1984. On YouTube, you can find the Cupertino presentation, along with a sort of a rough draft held as part of an Apple sales meeting in Hawaii in the fall of 1983.
