Felixstowe Container Ship Spotting June 26, 2015 video 7 of 8 The 18,340 TEU Maersk Line Triple E container vessel MADISON MAERSK sailing into the Port of Felixstowe, United Kingdom with a full load, inbound for Asia via the Suez Canal. MADISON MAERSK is one of 20 Triple E container vessels put in service from mid 2013 to mid 2015 by Maersk Line. The "Triple E" was the world's largest container ship from June 2013 until November 2014 when China Sipping's CSCL Globe went into service. You may just begin your buying from China. As told, we have to start as small as we can. 100pcs, 200pcs. You have never imagined that you will buy containers and containers of products from China. But I did deal with a couple of customers, they started from small as well. 500pcs one product in the very beginning. Well soon they scale the business. Now they got altogether around 10 products, every products they order 2,000pcs. They could mixed those items into one container. Hey, Angus wait. What are you talking about? What is container? Good question, I’ll introduce you 4 types of most common seen shipping dry containers when you are buying non-food products from China. Let’s check the details. 20ft container = 20’ container = 20’ GP General Purpose 40ft container = 40’ container = 40’ GP 40ft high cube container = 40’ HQ = 40’ HC 45ft high cube container = 45’ HQ = 45’ HC While we can see, even the sizes are so different, the payload are not of huge difference between those 4 types of containers. Actually they are designed for different purpose. If you are buying heavy items like hardware only, you could choose 20’ container. While if your products are light and of big volume, you could choose 40’ container. We had customers bought cheap and light items to fully load the container, in this case, he can also decrease the unit shipping cost. Well, I had an experience need to share with you guys. I got a customer from UK. Once he bought 32 cubic meters products from me. He insisted that WE could loaded all the products into one 20’ GP. It turned out we can not. Why? When we were loading the container, we could not fit all the space of the container as different sizes of the boxes. So the actual capacity of the products we could load into the container will always be less than the container’s capacity. In the past 5 years, we loaded many containers. From the experience, we can say that for 20’ GP it can be loaded with around 27-30 cubic meters products. 40’ GP it can be loaded with around 54-56 cubic meters products. 40’ HQ it can be loaded with around 66-68 cubic meters products. 45’ HQ it can be loaded with around 76-78 cubic meters products. It is not 100% accurate. Just for your information. Picking up a shipping container at the depot or similar location is easy. Pull in, the forklift or crane picks up the container and drops is on the trailer, and you're off and running. The other week we talked about unloading a shipping container without a forklift, and now we'll go through when you need to move a shipping or storage container and don't have the luxury of having a forklift or crane available on site. If you find yourself in this situation you'll need a tilt bed truck, strong chain, and a piece of 4x4 wood or something similar.

CFR Rinkens is the global leader in containerized shipping of used autos, with more than 1500 classic cars and other vehicles transported overseas every month. In 2011, CFR introduced a revolutionary new method for stacking cars in containers which makes it possible to load three, four, or even five cars safely into an ocean container. The traditional method to stack cars in containers is to construct wooden ramps and load the cars onto those ramps, which is not only much more complicated and less safe, but also environmentally unfriendly. CFR is the exclusive company in the US using this new system - called R-Rak - and is doing so in partnership with Trans-Rak International, the UK company that designed the system and also holds the patents. And in January 2013, CFR signed a contract with The Pasha Group to ship up to 1200 brand new manufacturer cars for Chrysler and Honda containerized from California to Hawaii using the R-Rak. CFR is currently in negotiations with other car manufacturers to ship their cars containerized with the R-Rak. CFR also handles commercial FCL and LCL freight, project cargo, and air shipments. For any questions, please contact [email protected], call 001-323-645-4244, or go to cfrrinkens.com.
