Inside The Lives Of The Rich Kids Of China
A glimpse inside the lives of China's elite Other videos you might like: Inside The Lives Of The RICH KIDS OF NORTH KOREA https://youtu.be/GEaxcIxJDZY Subscribe: https://goo.gl/Hnoaw3 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It’s always fascinating seeing how the richest one percent live, and the “fuerdai” are no exception to that. These are the “second-generation rich” of China’s millionaires and billionaires, and they love to spend their wealth and boast about it on social media. Join us as we take a look inside the lives of the rich kids of China. We get a glimpse into these rich kids’ lives through social media, like the Chinese equivalent of Twitter, called Weibo, as well as in reality TV shows like “Ultra Rich Asian Girls of Vancouver.” The Chinese government is so against these kinds of ostentatious displays of wealth that they actually banned such reality programs that star the offspring of Chinese celebrities. But there are plenty of ways for the young rich to spend money fast, like the Supercar Club China and the car dealers who specialize in finding supercars for rich Chinese college students living in North America. Some famous rich kids have caused outrage for their excessive lifestyles and boastful posts online. Wang Sicong was heavily criticized for a particular picture of his dog wearing certain expensive accessories. And Guo Meimei created a huge controversy for her lavish lifestyle. There are also famous rich young Chinese stars who gain a lot of attention for their wealth without getting into trouble for it, like Moka Fang, who married one of the Four Heavenly Kings, Aaron Kwok. Video: Millions of single Chinese men desperately seeking a wife
Subscribe to France 24 now: http://f24.my/youtubeEN FRANCE 24 live news stream: all the latest news 24/7 http://f24.my/YTliveEN In China, the one-child policy has wreaked havoc. By encouraging the birth of boys rather than girls, an imbalance of the sexes has emerged. China now counts far more men than women. Millions of these men, now of marriageable age, are desperately seeking a wife - and they will do anything to try to find one, even if it means buying one abroad or even kidnapping a woman. Marjolaine Grappe and Christophe Barreyre tell us more in this documentary. The Chinese call them "Guang gun", "dead branches" which will never bear fruit. In short, men condemned to a life without a wife, without children, and without the hope of one day starting a family. In China, there are already millions of these bachelors in search of a soulmate and their ranks are swelling. Ten years ago, there was talk of the "curse of being born a girl". As a result of the one-child policy – in force until 2015 - millions of little girls were killed before they were born or just afterwards. Sometimes they were abandoned shortly after their birth. Most families preferred to give birth to a boy, so that he could carry on the family line. ►► Also watch our report: "China's second child flop" It turned out to be a demographic time bomb. Today, the “curse” has backfired on these boys, who are now men. According to forecasts from the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, one in five men will be unable to find a wife by 2020. China will have a surplus of 30 to 40 million men under the age of 19. That’s the equivalent of the entire population of young men in the United States. Trafficking of women In some regions, "single villages" have emerged. The few women who were there have left the area to look for a rich husband in town. So men who want a chance to get married have to move to other regions. Millions of young men flock to the south of the country and work day and night in the factories of the Pearl Delta, "the workshop of the world", while hoping to find a soulmate. But even here, women are in short supply. In desperation, some Chinese men prefer to run away or buy a woman abroad, often from Burma, Vietnam or Indonesia... Others give up. For some, anything goes, even if it means enlisting the help of traffickers and kidnapping a woman. We went to meet single men who are crushed by the mathematical impossibility of finding a spouse and prepared to do anything not to end up alone. They agreed to speak to us and to take us to the heart of this unlikely trafficking operation. A report by Marjolaine Grappe and Christophe Barreyre / Orientxpress Production. CRAZY RICH ASIANS - Official Trailer
Every family has its crazy. Watch the new trailer for #CrazyRichAsians, only in theaters August 15. — Jon M. Chu (“Now You See Me 2”) directed the contemporary romantic comedy “Crazy Rich Asians,” based on the acclaimed worldwide bestseller by Kevin Kwan. The story follows New Yorker Rachel Chu (Constance Wu) as she accompanies her longtime boyfriend, Nick Young (Henry Golding), to his best friend’s wedding in Singapore. Excited about visiting Asia for the first time but nervous about meeting Nick’s family, Rachel is unprepared to learn that Nick has neglected to mention a few key details about his life. Not only is he the scion of one of the country’s wealthiest families, but also one of its most sought-after bachelors. Being on Nick’s arm puts a target on Rachel’s back, with jealous socialites and, worse, Nick’s own disapproving mother (Michelle Yeoh) taking aim. It soon becomes clear that the only thing crazier than love is family, in this funny and romantic story sure to ring true for audiences everywhere. “Crazy Rich Asians” features an international cast of stars, led by Constance Wu (“Fresh Off the Boat”), Gemma Chan (“Humans”), Lisa Lu (“2012”), and Awkwafina (“Ocean’s 8,” “Neighbors 2”), with Ken Jeong (the “Hangover” films”) and Michelle Yeoh (“Star Trek: Discovery,” “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon”). The large starring ensemble also includes Henry Golding, making his feature film debut, Sonoya Mizuno (“La La Land”), Chris Pang (“Marco Polo”), Jimmy O. Yang (“Silicon Valley”), comedian Ronny Chieng (“The Daily Show”), Remy Hii (“Marco Polo”), and Nico Santos (“Superstore”). Color Force’s Nina Jacobson (“The Hunger Games” films) and Brad Simpson (“World War Z”), and Ivanhoe Pictures’ John Penotti (“Hell or High Water”) produced the film, with executive producers Tim Coddington, Kevin Kwan, Robert Friedland, and Sidney Kimmel. The screenplay is by Peter Chiarelli and Adele Lim, based on the novel Crazy Rich Asians, by Kwan. The creative filmmaking team included director of photography Vanja Černjul (“Marco Polo”), production designer Nelson Coates (“Fifty Shades Darker”), costume designer Mary Vogt (“Kong: Skull Island”) and editor Myron Kerstein (“Going in Style”). The music was composed by Brian Tyler (“Avengers: Age of Ultron”). “Crazy Rich Asians” was filmed entirely on location in Singapore and Malaysia. It is set for release on Wednesday, August 15, 2018. Warner Bros. Pictures presents, in association with SK Global and Starlight Culture, a Color Force/Ivanhoe Pictures/Electric Somewhere Production, a Jon M. Chu Film, “Crazy Rich Asians.” The film will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Entertainment Company. It is rated PG-13. — Follow #CrazyRichAsians on social media: http://www.crazyrichasiansmovie.com http://facebook.com/crazyrichasiansmovie http://twitter.com/crazyrichmovie http://instagram.com/crazyrichasians

The Gap between China’s Rich and Poor
About one-fifth of China’s workforce is made up of migrant workers. Urbanization promises chances of higher incomes than what can be found in rural areas. But the migrants usually find themselves at the very bottom of the ladder, in terms of social status, welfare and living conditions. The wealth gap is especially obvious when you compare the lifestyle of a migrant worker with that of a city resident. CCTV’s Wang Yizhi visits one downtown community in Beijing, where she found the stark contrast between above-ground and underground in just one building. BEIJING — Chinese President Xi Jingping has reportedly ordered a crackdown on the activities of “fuerdai” or rich second-generation kids. These young people, the offspring of mega tycoons, have enraged the general public and their elders in Beijing with their ostentatious behavior. Photographs on Chinese social media sites show wealthy young people burning wads of cash, posing while draped over a bed covered in expensive jewelry and buying gold-plated watches for their dogs. Among the most egregious offenders are those who belong to a group known as the “Sports Car Club.” Several of these high-octane automobile enthusiasts have become famous after reducing themselves and their vehicles to ashes, but prostitution and bribery scandals have also hit the “Sports Car Club.” Authorities in Beijing are said to have begun a crackdown on the so-called ‘fuerdai,’ and 70 offspring of various tycoons were recently reportedly sent to “Social Responsibility” retreats where they were schooled in “the value of money” and social responsibility. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoNews, where we animate the most entertaining news on the internets. The fact is, it's not that simple. China is a very complicated nation in terms of wealth. If you just look at GDP, China is the second richest country in the world. If you look at China in terms of per person GDP, it's smack dab in the middle of the world statistics. But wealth gap is even more complicated than that. We are going to show you what it’s like to grow up as a wealthy kid in South Korea. While American rich kids might be covered in designer duds, the number one expenditure for rich families is their children’s education. This means fancy schools, private tutors, and a chauffeur to make sure you get to school safely. But that doesn’t mean certain rich kids won’t spend thousands of dollars to ensure they see their favorite movie before everyone else. It’s shocking the amount these kids are willing to spend on a little luxury, and how surprisingly a lot of their luxury looks like our everyday. We are talking about things we consider basic like Starbucks and Apple products, which are used to signify status in South Korea. Food gap between rich and poor in China a problem
(11 May 2011) HEADLINE: Food gap between China's rich and poor a problem CAPTION: The Chinese middle class is enjoying bounty at the dinner table, but the urban poor are seeing lean times. Observers warn the gap could create problems for China's communist rulers. (11 May 2011) VOICE-OVER: English AP TELEVISION Beijing - 16 April 2011 1. Various of ginger stall with Yao Qizhong selling ginger 2. Yao walking to his house 3. Close of three bowls full of noodle soup 4. Various of Yao family eating 5. SOUNDBITE (English translation of Mandarin) Yao Qizhong, Ginger vendor from Anhui province: "We are not too picky about what food we eat, we don't dare to aspire to eat good stuff, we can't afford it. We don't even think about it." 6. Various of Yao counting what he has earned 7. Yao family eating Beijing - 16 March 2011 8. Wide of architect Zhong Sheng and wife in kitchen cooking 9. SOUNDBITE (English translation of Mandarin) Zhong Sheng, 40 year-old architect: "I think safety is the most important aspect, second comes price, food brand can come on third in my priorities." 16. Wide of dishes at the dining table Beijing - 1 March 2011 17. Various of Liu Rui, Economics Professor of People's University of China in his office 18. SOUNDBITE (English translation of Mandarin) Liu Rui, Economics Professor of People's University of China: "We now still have a chance to do something about the widening gap between rich and poor, we can be optimistic if we start now. But, if we miss this opportunity and do not address the issue of such big disparity, then we could see the surge of social unrest in the near future." Beijing - 16 April 2011 19. Yao and his wife Wang Rong cutting vegetables 20. Various of cabbage leaves and potatoes in a bowl Beijing - 16 March 2011 21. Various of Zhong family eating SCRIPT Yao Qizhong (yow chee jong) spent so much of his childhood hungry that even now at age 40 he'll stoop to pick up a single clove of garlic that falls from his Beijing market table. Yao may have left the countryside decades ago but with food prices in China skyrocketing, he and his family still eat as peasants do, filling up on noodles with greens and cheap steamed buns. He limits himself to eating meat only around once a week, although he tries to give it to his children more often. SOT Yao pinches every penny he can to help pay for his kids' education. His ginger and garlic stall brings in about 2,000 yuan a month, the equivalent of 307 dollars, and just under a third of that goes to feed his family of five. Across town that 2,000 yuan a month is the food bill for architect Zhong (jong) Sheng and his family. The prosperous like Zhong, who also runs his own design firm, can afford to be picky. The typical dinner for him and his wife and daughter will include a meat like pork, as well as fish, and fruit, too. Zhong is especially concerned with safety, favouring more expensive organically grown and imported items after the scandal over deadly tainted infant formula three years ago. SOT The dinner table contrasts could eventually prove dangerous for the country, according to Liu Rui, economics professor at the People's University of China... SOT China's communist leaders are mindful that protests in Egypt which toppled the government there earlier this year were triggered in part by discontent over climbing food costs. Even the well-off Zhong thinks authorities need to find a way to take care of those who are struggling with them. 11 Strangest Things Rich People Spend Money On
Famous, exclusive and expensive, things only the 1% can afford ! Check out the 11 Strangest Things Rich People Spend Money On ! Subscribe to American Eye http://goo.gl/GBphkv 11. Paris Hilton Dog House 10. A Pricey Pigeon We see pigeons on the street and don’t really consider them to be worth much if anything. They seem to annoy people and poop on our cars. A business man from China on the other hand might think quite differently. He goes by the name of Hu Zhen Yu and he paid jaw dropping 328,000 dollars for some type of fancy racing pigeon from Belgium. The website called Pigeon Paradise offers specific breeds we’re assuming you won’t find scurrying for food. We couldn’t find an actual photo of Mr. Hu’s pricey pigeon, but it’s gotta be good. 9. Mayweather Gambling Habits 8. White’s Gentlemen's Club Membership The London aristocratic, posh society deserves a special place on our list. Would you be willing to fork over 85,000 pounds a year to be a member of this club? That might not seem to high for some wealthy fellows and sorry ladies. Only guys allowed. Not only is the membership fairly high but you got to be pretty famous too. There might only be a few exceptions for the queen. A can of coke costs 20 dollars and only the finest game meat from all of England is served. Prince Charles is allegedly a member and had a bachelor’s party here. Much of what goes on here is fairly mysterious but many humiliating or dark high stake wagers are rumored to occur. The secrecy around the club has made it difficult to know for sure, but we know it’s expensive to find out! 7. Dan Bilzerian Armory 6. Markhor Hunting Expeditions A lot of people enjoy hunting the primal feelings that come with it. We’re sure these rich people can afford to put food on their plates, so that’s obviously not the reason. Catching a that rare trophy animal is going to come at a hefty price. The countries of Tajikistan and Pakistan are trying to appeal to hunters by allowing them to hunt the rare markor sheep which is known for their massive horns. For years, people were hunting it illegally and money from the people paying to hunt them are supposedly used to conserve the environment. Hunting permits for this sought after trophy animal start at 61,500 dollars to be able to hunt 4 Markor, which makes it a pretty expensive hobby. The doesn’t factor in transportation to these remote locations or getting travel visas to these countries. But if you want those horns on your mantle, be ready to pay the price! 5. Doomsday Bunkers 4. Travers Beynon If there’s one guy out there who competes with Dan Blizarian for the most hated guy on instagram it would have to be Travers Beynon. This mega rich business man works for Big tobacco companies and he reportedly spends up to 2 million for bikini models to hang out with him in order for him to promote himself. This photo here shows Travers Beynon with two women on a leash, and you start to wonder if these women have any idea of self respect. He seems to know this type of imagery shocks people and the scantily clad women we see in this photo makes you wonder if they have some insecurity problems. Do you see the 3 standing next to him on the balcony? It makes you think they actually got paid more to be more closely associated to this guy in some way. He pays wild amounts for poolside parties, exotic vacations and for company, all in order to make himself look cool on instagram. We should also mention that his does have a wife and kid 3. Unusual Pets 2. Geoglyphic Signatures Are you extremely rich and would appreciate people being able to see your name from satellite? It’s not a huge trend just yet but we’ve seen a few examples of this so far. A name from the Middle East, Hamad Bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, funded a project where he carved his name into the land and his signature measures about a kilometre long. It’s believed that this man owns over 200 cars including several Mercedes 500 SELs. This is almost like graffiti on an epic scale. The signature is carved near a body of water on Al Futaisi Island, in the Persian Gulf where they’re attempting to fill up his name almost like a giant swimming pool. It doesn’t appear to still be visible but we imagine this kind of thing takes a little maitenence. There’s also another one in Texas with the owner of the land Carving his name out of trees. 1.Golden Cars

Exiled Chinese Billionaire Uses YouTube To Wage A War On Corruption (HBO)
Guo Wengui sits in self-imposed exile in a $68 million apartment overlooking Central Park. The billionaire Chinese property tycoon has been waging a media war against his homeland’s government. Guo says he’s trying to stamp out corruption and graft, but China accuses him of the very same thing. Since January, Guo has taken to YouTube and Twitter making corruption allegations against top Chinese officials. Some of them have been disproven, some can’t be proven, but some have turned out to be accurate. Guo cites the retirement of China’s anti-corruption czar, Wang Qishan, as his most recent victory. Guo alleged Wang and his family made millions in mysterious business dealings. Wang did not respond to the allegations and was never investigated nor charged. China issued an arrest warrant for Guo but does not have an extradition treaty with the U.S., which has shown no interest in detaining him. Guo, for his part, is hoping the U.S. will grant him asylum and says he can be of use to the Trump Administration. The White House hasn’t commented on Guo’s case but his position as a dissident who may have access to insider information may make him a useful bargaining chip. What transpires thereafter is actually quite sad but funny at the same time. What do you think? #WillYouMarryMe #sayYES #IGotMoney

Rich Chinese Double Parking
from u/OBJredwake; "Everyone in this video that can be heard clearly is encouraging or helping the driver. No one is opposed to what he's doing. Maybe for good reason. Double parking is rampant in China and those who do it are assholes. But instead of ramming the car with his own expensive car, why not just break the Jag's window, throw it in neutral, and roll it away?"
