Circular Flow of Income. How the different components of an economy interact.
Transcript: 1 In macroeconomics, we study the economy of one country. 2 Then try to understand how 2 countries interact and trade. 3 And hopefully, understand the global economy. 4 So today, we are going to study the circular flow of income. 5 Let’s make things really simple. 5 Imagine we are alone on an isolated island. There’s no government, no trade, no savings. I told you, it's simple! 6 There’s only firms and households. (2-sector economy: firms + households (closed economy)) 7 Firms provide households with goods and services. 7 Out of thin air? 7 Nah.. 8 Firms gotta get factors of production from households. 8 It can be labor, land, capital or… 8 Face it. Some of us in households are going to be entrepreneurs. (For more information on factors of production: check out this video) 8 So…entrepreneurship. 9 For free? You wish! 9 We don’t get freebies from firms. 9 We don’t provide labor for free either. 10 So there’s money flowing in the opposite direction. 11 Households gotta pay firms for the goods they get. 12 Firms also gotta pay households in the form of wages, rents, interests or profits. 12 But this is a little weird. 12 We don’t spend everything we earn in real life. 13 So let’s add savings. 13 Savings is money we don’t spend. 13 So there’s money flowing out. 14 Hey, savings don’t just sit in banks… 14 Banks invest in firms by lending to them. 14 Cos firms need money to buy capital equipment or cover other costs of production. 14 So there's investments flowing into the economy. 14 Bravo! Awesome! 14 But this is a little too simplified. 15 Let’s add government. (3 sector economy: firms + households + government) 15 Government buys stuff as well. 15 So there’s money flowing in. 16 Government gets money from taxes. 16 Taxes. So there’s money flowing out. 16 Cos for the money we’re paying as taxes, we cannoyt spend it. 17 Lastly, countries interact with one another. 17 Imagine this is an American economy. 18 Let’s add trade. (4 sector economy: firms + households + government + foreign sector) 18 America imports stuff. 18 For example, America can import shoes from China. 18 Shoes flow from China into America. 19 And money spent on imports flows out of America into China. 19 America exports too. 19 America can produce software 19 and export it to foreigners, 20 Money then flows from foreign countries into America. 20 This is America's export earnings. 21 Investments, Government Spending and Export earnings are called Injections. 21 Cos money is flowing in. 22 Savings, taxes and import spending are called leakages or withdrawals. 22 Cos money leaks out of the system. And hey, injections and leakages are sort of related. Investments come from savings. Government spending comes from taxes. America makes money from foreigners by exporting. But foreigners also make money from America when America imports. Wow…no wonder it's Circular Flow of Income It tells us roughly how an economy functions. 23 How do we measure the size of an economy then? 24 By measuring Gross Domestic Product or GDP. 24 GDP is the total value of all final goods and services produced within the borders of a country during a given period. 25 Why must it be FINAL goods and services? (Hint: it's in the next video) 26 If you like this video, remember to like and subscribe. 27 Next up: Measuring GDP: Output Approach _______________________________________________ How does an economy function? Look at the Circular Flow of Income. Who are the major players in an economy? In order of increasing complexity, there are: 2-sector economy: households + firms 3-sector economy: households + firms + government 4-sector economy: households + firms + government + foreign sector There are real goods and services flowing in one direction in the circular flow of income and money flowing in the opposite direction. When money flowing to the country, it's called injections. When money flows out, it's called withdrawals or leakages. Injections consist of government spending, investments and exports. Leakages or withdrawals include imports, taxes and savings. Injections and leakages/withdrawals are related to each other. This is because government spending comes from tax revenues and investments, at least the local component, come from savings. That said, investments can flow from foreign countries in the form of foreign direct investments (FDI). Lastly, while money can flow from foreign countries when we export overseas, money also leaks out of the country because we import. Important definitions: Gross Domestic Product or GDP is the total value of all final goods and services produced within the borders of a country during a given period. Use flashcards to remember these definitions in economics: http://www.memrise.com/course/461808/economics-101/

Automated Quality Inspection with 3D Scanner for Complex Components
The VINSPEC 3D INLINE inspection system scans castings that are large and complex, such as crankcases. The system is integrated in the production line with minimum cycle time and high throughput. The 3D scanner inspects components for surface defects and geometric deviations simultaneously and from all sides, irrespective of the component material. For example, crankcases are inspected for the integrity of external geometries, existence of structural openings, and damage and defects (for example, dents). For this purpose, the sides of the component are scanned simultaneously and each is captured as a 3D point cloud. The point cloud is compared to the 3D model stored for each side and deviations are identified. Various tolerances for width, length, depth, and volume can be defined. This robust inspection method is insusceptible to contamination and extremely stable. The system serves not only as a stationary scanning solution with 3D sensor system and moving part. The 3D scanner can also be connected to a robot. Process Optimization for Industry 4.0 All inspection results are transferred to an integrated database for documentation, archiving, and evaluation purposes. This makes it possible to detect defects throughout the entire process and manually correct them at the reworking station. Even data from external processes, such as X-ray inspections, can be captured and displayed. A combined evaluation of all component-related data supports more effective processes, reducing costs and optimizing product quality, keeping you one step ahead in the era of digitization.

Astro Pneumatic light versus clones? (teardown and schematic)
This video wasn't originally going to include the Astro Pneumatic mechanic's work light, but once you pop you can't stop. So they ALL got opened. I'm not even sure who sent the original Astro Pneumatic work light, since it arrived in a box with other stuff at a time I was juggling work and videos and it ended up being buried on a shelf. It was only when I spotted Eric-O of South Main Auto using one that I got intrigued about them and after ordering one on eBay came across the other while I was organising stuff. It's a bit embarrassing because it's quite an expensive professional light, so I'd just like to make it clear that I really appreciate it being sent. Here's a summary of what I found. The Astro version is probably a branded version of the original light. The unit is modular with the LED array, Lithium cell and intensity control potentiometer connected to the PCB with plugs and sockets. The LED (Light Emitting Diode) COB (Chip On Board) array is notably brighter and more efficient on the Astro unit, with a much better colour rendering, which is important for wire colour identification. It also has other important little features that make it more suited to a working environment. A proper cap for the USB charging port and a felt disk over the magnet to reduce the risk of bodywork damage. The two clones are clearly based on the original with progressive economy. As is common of cost engineered products, components that they deem unnecessary have been removed. On one you could see where the original tracks had been shunted and component pads removed to save solder. It's inevitable that in future versions that get stripped back even more, the local cell protection will be removed. All the units use linear regulation for the LED intensity. They are using a MOSFET transistor that is being deliberately used as a variable current regulator. This keeps the circuitry simple and also means there is no strobing from PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) that could risk making rotating components appear stationary. One very intriguing quirk is that part of the main power control MOSFETs voltage divider circuit is switched by another MOSFET to change its range when the unit is being charged. With the charger the LED intensity is restricted to a lower level. This could be to protect the MOSFET from heat or even to prevent the LEDs from being left at full power continuously. I didn't realise the lights had this feature until I deduced from the reverse engineering that the function might exist. That was proven by plugging and unplugging the charger while the light was on. All these lights can be upgraded to a longer run time by changing the lithium cell for a higher capacity one. General eBay search link for this type of light. National Income Components-GDP||GNP||NDP||NNP @ Market Price(MP)/@ Factor Cost(FC)
We hear terms like GDP, NDP, GNP, NNP etc. very frequently in news, magazines and daily discussions. But do we know what they really mean and what are their uses. Here we are trying to make you understand these terms without using technical jargon. These are some of the terms related to National Income which are being asked in competition now and then. GDP (Gross Domestic Product) The value of final goods and services produced inside the boundary of nation during one year. GDP= Value of gross domestic output- value of intermediate consumption Different uses of GDP are : Per annum percentage change in the growth rate of an economy. It is a quantitative aspect and its size gives the estimate about the internal strength of economy. But it DOES NOT say about the qualitative aspect of the produced goods. GDP is used by the IMF or the WORLD BANK to do comparative analysis of its members. 2.NDP (Net Domestic Product) It is the net form of GDP. NDP= GDP – Depreciation Depreciation is a decrease in an asset’s value caused by unfavourable market conditions. Uses of NDP : Government announces the rate of depreciation in the economy. In domestic use, NDP is is used to understand the loss due to depreciation. NDP is not used for the comparative economies since the rate of depreciation is different for different countries. In India NDP is announced by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. 3. GNP (Gross National Product) It is the GDP of a country added with its income from abroad. GNP= GDP + Income from Abroad Or, GNP = GDP – Income from abroad Income from abroad= trade balance + interest on External Loans+ Private Remittance Private remittance= inflows and outflows on account of private transfer e.g. NRI Trade balance = net outcome at the year end of the total import and export. Interest on external loans= balance of the inflow of interest payment (on money lend out of economy) – outflow of interest payment (on the money borrowed by the economy) In case of India, GNP is negative. This is because of heavy outflows on account of Trade Deficit and interest payment on foreign loans. Use of GNP: GNP is the “national income” according to which IMF ranks nations based on PPP or Purchasing Power Parity. [India ranked 4th after USA, Japan and China] It is indicative of the qualitative as well as quantitative aspect of the economy. 4. NNP or Net National Product NNP= GNP – Depreciation Or, NNP= GDP+ income from abroad- depreciation NNP or Net National Product is the purest form of Income. It is the National Income or NI. We can find the per capita income of a country if we know the NNP and total population. e.g. (NNP/ total Population) = per capita income
Think Aspects - Website Cost Components.wmv
Many small businesses do not realise the total cost of having a website developed. The unscrupolous web developer will often only reveal some of the cost in order to get the business and appear cheaper than the opposition. Then, when the project is under way other costs are suddenly revealed. Avoid falling into this trap by learning more about the different costs you can expect when you are in the market for a new website.

The battery cell is the heart of the battery. It determines performance, energy content, charging capabilities and lifespan, thereby making a significant contribution to the performance of an electrified vehicle. In the labs, research and prototyping facilities, which will make up the battery cell competence centre, specialist departments will analyse cell design and cell technology. They will also create prototypes of future battery cells, focusing on the chemical composition of the cells, use of different materials, how the cell behaves in critical or extremely cold conditions, charging and rapid-charging behaviour and evaluating cell sizes and forms. This in-house technological expertise is key to enhancing the battery, thereby enabling higher performance capabilities. The BMW Group will also gain build-to-print expertise and can then contract out production of battery cells produced to its exact product requirements and specifications. This core competence – which covers the entire value chain from selection of materials, cell design, integration into battery systems, manufacturability and production technologies – gives the company a definite competitive edge, while leveraging cost benefits and economies of scale. The BMW Group has already completed years of research into battery cells and acquired a high level of evaluation competence, especially through the development of the BMW i models. The company will concentrate know-how from various specialist departments and locations at the new Battery Cell Competence Centre and step up its efforts in this area to achieve faster impact. Research findings will be incorporated directly into the latest battery generation. This interdisciplinary competence centre aims to advance battery cell technology and introduce it into production processes. The company will invest a total of 200 million euros in the location over the next four years, creating 200 jobs. The centre will open in early 2019. ► Gommeblog.it CAR TV and PERFORMANCE is a webzine devoted exclusively to the international world of automobile. Discover all new cars before anyone else!

SP-L2-02 Associate cost components with tasks.avi
The Task Manager, part of Schedule Planner in Vico Office, is used to establish the link between cost and schedule information. Cost assemblies and components from the estimate already contain quantities for labor, material, and equipment. So all the user has to do is to drag and drop them to the appropriate task in the Task List. To be sure that all labor, material, and equipment are part of the schedule, continue working until the Cost Planner view on the right side of the view set is empty. Measuring GDP using the Income Approach and the Expenditure Approach - HD
GDP is generally understood to represent the health of a nation's economy, and most people realize that if GDP is growing, things are going well, while if it's falling things have turned sour in the economy. But what, precisely, does GDP measures? There are two primary methods for measuring GDP, which should yield the same result even though they measure completely different factors. -The income approach: measures the total incomes earned by households in a nation in a year. -The expenditure approach: measures the total amount spent on the goods produced by a country in a year. By examining the circular flow model of a nation's economy, we can demonstrate why every dollar earned by a household in a nation's resource market will ultimately be spent in the product market, or leaked through taxes, savings, and import spending, leading to injections in the form of government spending, investment and export sales. In the video lecture below, the two methods for measuring GDP are introduced, and the various components it includes are explained in detail. Minecraft is an online virtual playground and workshop, where kids of all ages can safely interact, create, have fun, and learn. It’s unique in that practically everything on Minecraft is designed and constructed by members of the community. Minecraft is designed for 8 to 18 year old, but it is open to people of all ages. Each player starts by choosing an avatar and giving it an identity. They can then explore Minecraft — interacting with others by chatting, playing games, or collaborating on creative projects. Each player is also given their own piece of undeveloped real estate along with a virtual toolbox with which to design and build anything — be it a navigable skyscraper, a working helicopter, a giant pinball machine, a multiplayer “Capture the Flag” game or some other, yet to be dreamed-up creation. There is no cost for this first plot of virtual land. By participating and by building cool stuff, Minecraft members can earn speciality badges as well as Minecraft dollars (“Minecraft”). In turn, they can shop the online catalogue to purchase avatar clothing and accessories as well as premium building materials, interactive components, and working mechanisms.

Genius Bar caught ripping customer off ON CAMERA by CBC News
ALL CREDIT TO CBC NEWS CANADA: WATCH THE ENTIRE SEGMENT ON THEIR CHANNEL HERE https://youtu.be/_XneTBhRPYk This Macbook has no backlight due to a common F'up - pin 1 of the LCD cable is bent. Pin 1 is for the LCD backlight. The board's current sensing circuit on backlight output will notice that pin 1 is touching the connector housing itself, shorted to ground, and not send power through to the circuit. Bending the pin back fixed the problem. At Apple, this issue would have cost the customer $1200. You might not believe me, which is why we have it all on tape. :) 👉 Find tools used, recording gear, repair guides, chip sources, & cryptocurrency donation links below: 👉 CHIPS & COMPONENTS: › http://bit.ly/2jaAOXM 👉 TOOLS USED: ✓ Soldering Irons: › Louis' Hakko station(no tweezers): http://amzn.to/2cKkMyO › Paul's Hakko station(works with tweezers): http://amzn.to/2yMvWNy › Micro Soldering Pencil: http://amzn.to/2d5MWUP › Hot tweezers: http://amzn.to/2yMvZsZ › Quick 861DW hot air station: http://bit.ly/quick861dw ✓ IF THESE COST TOO MUCH, CHECK OUT THE TS100 SETUP: › TS100 soldering iron: https://amzn.to/2Gy1Fqz › Recommended tips: TS-C4: https://amzn.to/2GSDoz3 TS-KU https://amzn.to/2Elofke ✓ Preferred Soldering Tips › Fine: http://amzn.to/2d5MgPn › Flat: https://amzn.to/2JnsDBT › GPU wicking: http://amzn.to/2w8chtB › Micro soldering tip: http://amzn.to/2qUSFDh ✓ Microscopes: › Microscope: http://amzn.to/2iLrE16 › Barlow lens: http://amzn.to/2yMKdKf › LED light: http://amzn.to/2nzfPT2 › CHEAP alternative microscope: http://amzn.to/2rTlHbj ✓ Soldering/Repair Supplies: › Solder: http://amzn.to/2cKkxUp › Desoldering braid: Goot Wick http://bit.ly/2otflOX › Flux: http://bit.ly/amtechflux › Solder paste: http://bit.ly/amtechsolderpaste › THICK insulated jumper wire: https://amzn.to/2rvtD0A › THIN insulated jumper wire: https://amzn.to/2I47DQY › Kapton tape: http://amzn.to/2yN0xuq › Tweezers: http://amzn.to/2d5NBpi › Blades: X-Acto Knife Kit http://amzn.to/2ByWnvF › Freeze Spray: http://amzn.to/2BySozw ✓ Diagnostic tools: › USB amp meter: http://bit.ly/2B2Lu5W › USB-C amp meter: https://amzn.to/2tbpTBP › On-Screen multimeter: http://amzn.to/2jtgY9K › Multimeter Probes: http://bit.ly/fineprobes › CHEAP multimeter: http://amzn.to/2zjkg8U › Bench PSU: PPS2116A: http://amzn.to/2ibannT › ZXWtool: https://amzn.to/2KVXiM9 ✓ Ultrasonic Cleaning: › ALL MACBOOKS & CELLPHONES: Crest P1200H-45: http://bit.ly/P1200H45 › PRE-TOUCHBAR MACBOOKS & CELLPHONES: Crest P500H-45: http://bit.ly/P500H45 › CELLPHONES ONLY: Crest P230H-45: http://bit.ly/P230H45 › Branson EC cleaning fluid: http://amzn.to/2cKlBrp ✓ Desk supplies: › Desk: http://amzn.to/2yMShdZ › Chair: http://amzn.to/2yNPv8u › Fume Extractor: http://amzn.to/2d5MGoD › Work mat: http://amzn.to/2yMtlTR › Outlets: http://amzn.to/2yNsZwo › Gloves: http://amzn.to/2iUfumS › Durable lightning cable: http://amzn.to/2yNHzUt › Fine tipped snippers: http://amzn.to/2HGt4XB ✓ Screwdrivers: › iPhone bottom screws: http://amzn.to/2yNwX8p › Macbook bottom screws: http://amzn.to/2AKMdVb › Torx T3: http://amzn.to/2zjtxxH › Torx T5 http://amzn.to/2BLNDn4 › Torx T6 http://amzn.to/2B0XIfA › Torx T8 http://amzn.to/2CpWp68 › Phillips #0: http://amzn.to/2AJaHhM › Phillips #000: http://amzn.to/2yNqsCl ✓ Boardview software used: https://pldaniels.com/flexbv/ ✓ RECORDING EQUIPMENT: › Work cam: https://amzn.to/2QjHnt0 › Overhead cam: http://amzn.to/2eAH0oT › Work mic: http://amzn.to/2e74PVF › Home mic: https://amzn.to/2xfampC › Microscope camera: http://amzn.to/2icVQoG - mine is DISCONTINUED, this is the closest one I can find. › HDMI capture: http://amzn.to/2iyGcle 👉 REPAIR SERVICES: › We fix Macbooks & offer free estimates. http://bit.ly/RossmannLocalBoardRepair › Mail your Macbook in if you live far away! http://sendyourmacbook.com › We offer iPhone data recovery: http://bit.ly/2BDBX4G 👉 SHILLING: › Buying on eBay?
