Diffusion of Innovation Theory : The Adoption Curve

03:34
In every society there are specific segments of the population that try a new product or adopt a new behavior at different stages. In this short video we introduce you to each of these different types of people in society and explain why they try new things when they do.

Worldware: Product Internationalization: The Pursuit for Cultural Adaptation (and happiness!)

01:05:52
Worldware Conference (worldwareconference.com) Track B6 - Product Internationalization: The Pursuit for Cultural Adaptation (and happiness!) Folks across the globe are wired differently. Therefore, it's critical that a product designed for a local market is culturally adapted to a target locale — talks the talk, hits home and makes sense. A product mis-internationalized and misunderstood is a product unsold and a return on investment unreaped. This presentation is a roller coaster ride through potential pitfalls in the pre-natal product development process. We'll glide over the three P's at the frontline deployment of localized goods — product, people, process — and zoom right in on the first P: product. We'll review contextual, visual and graphical marketing methods that boost global branding. Presented by: Talia Baruch is an independent globalization strategist. After 12+ years of localization management on the production house side (Lionbridge, ENLASO, Translations.com) helping high-profile clients such as Google, HP, Adobe, Cisco and Starbucks achieve high-visibility localized products such as Google's Maps/Earth products into 62 languages, she founded Copyous, providing internationalization set-up and localization management. Talia is also a University of California, San Diego-certified copyeditor and marketing-creative copywriter. She entered the localization industry in the early 1990s as a translator and copywriter, having earned an MA in Hebrew-English translation and a BA in English and French linguistics at the Tel Aviv University. Her poetry and play translations were published in literary magazines. A former dancer, Talia's pro bono community outreach is in composing dance reviews on principal work staged across San Francisco and Tel Aviv.

China Market Entry Strategies

10:10
0:05 What are the options to obtain to implement initial market entry? If you're a Canadian SME and have questions about doing business in China, please send us your questions by email at [email protected] All services of the Trade Commissioner Service are FREE of charge to qualified Canadian clients. What are the options to obtain to implement initial market entry? I think there are a number of options, from our point of view as an advisory firm, we always want to know the capacity if the company, in terms of their recourses to be able to sustain that option, and coming back to the first part of the series, definition of success. Because you have to look at it in terms of, first of all the accounting point of view, how much volume of product is a realistic expectation over the first year, the second year and the third year, and what is the margin in that product and what is the variable you can assign to support your China marketing process. So in this modern world obviously, and I know that the embassy has looked at this extensively in another series, one of your options is in fact e-commerce through JD.com or depending on what you are selling there are specialist sites for industrial manufacturing. There is Alibaba’s Taobao if you are consumer product oriented. So there are a number of options and I think you have to spend some time thinking about how you can sell certain types of products on the internet, before setting up your own e-commerce platform even in Canada, with Chinese language, more and more people have credit cards and DHL and Fedex do a good job. So it depends on what you are selling and who you are selling to. Web presence, even in your homepage in Canada with a couple of pages in Chinese so people understand who you are, and spending some time on social media, and obviously getting some ads onto Baidu or Google to promote your product can be quite valuable even if you are not selling on the internet because you are building some sort of awareness and brand within your core competency of your client base or the sector that you are focusing on. Traditionally, people have not looked at the internet as something that is viable but the customs processes relatively poor as the foreign exchange process is liberalizing as we all know, so the ability for consumers and companies to pay for something using internet, if you are not inventory even in China where they can pay in RMB, is still a positive area of focus for certain types of company, especially people that are more focused on the consumer side or very specialized small component. Second option obviously is to find a partner, whether it is a distribution partner, systems integrator, a manufacturing partner whether it would be foreign in Chinese who is using your component, who takes on the primary responsibility of integrating it so you can develop a certain presence in the market while you look at your long term strategy and your vested strategy. So finding those partners, including distributors, with caution though, one problem with the distributor partner generally, is that they are usually responsive to a market, they are not into the expensive part of the business, which is the marketing, and brand development and sales process, the very competent servicing, so you may have to support that process with your own resources on top of it. We have one client who is in the medical space, and they have very good distributor relationships with all hospitals. The client is vesting in staff with our support and building the awareness and understanding of their product. It is a U.S. based company, they are also responding in a way to opportunities in the market that we have identified, and they are going on a strategic plan because their long term interest is brand development, so then those two processes can be bifurcated with you, the exporter, taking on the branding process and the distributor taking on the fulfillment and payment process. So I think there are a lot of options in that area, as I said there are also foreign companies, people like Jepsons Jardines depending on the size and type of your product that do this well and who might be worth talking to, because they know the space, and they may or may not be interested in taking on you product. And there are trading companies, state owned and private companies that do brand development marketing and sales and distribution. So I think that there are a number of options. In certain cases we advise companies to basically define the value of your product from a technology transfer point of view, and say we are going to enter into a license agreement with a key condition being ....

Understanding Local Adaptation Plans For Action (LAPA) Framework

05:24
Industrialization, fossil fuels, deforestation and unplanned urbanization have accelerated greenhouse gas emissions, and thereby increased global atmospheric temperature. Nepal is ranked and listed as one of the most climate vulnerable countries in the world. Government of Nepal initiated the National Adaptation Program of Action (NAPA) to help people adapt to the adverse impacts of climate change by understanding the overall vulnerability. The Framework for Local Adaptation Plans for Action (LAPA) was prepared to implement NAPA priorities in the local bodies such as VDC, Municipality and District Development Committees. The video describes in detail the steps that are being carried during the LAPA formulation and implementation.

What Is Keto Adaptation?

Take Dr. Berg's Free Keto Mini-Course: http://pxlme.me/-i717vtY or go here: http://bit.ly/2ThZlup Download Keto Essentials https://m.me/drericberg?ref=w2128577 Get More Details Here: http://bit.ly/2G25vL8 Take Dr. Berg's Advanced Evaluation Quiz: http://bit.ly/EvalQuiz How to Overcome the Keto Flu: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OUICk... Dr. Berg talks about being ketogenic diet adaptation. There is a difference between ketosis and keto-adaptation. Many people experience ketosis when they are sleeping as their bodies are in fat burning. However this does not mean their body is completely adapted to ketosis, whereby their cells have developed new machinery to burn fat and new fat burning enzymes. Hey guys Dr. Berg here. Here’s a question, what is keto adaptation? Well, the first thing I want to differentiate is the difference between ketosis and keto adapted. If you just go to sleep at night and don’t eat anything and wake up, you are then going to eat breakfast and break the fast. You’ve fasting and probably were in ketosis as you were fat burning at night. Keto adapted means that your body has developed new cellular machinery, new enzymes for fat burning. Most people has been running on glucose and sugar for their whole lives and now we are going to adapt the body into ketosis which is basically we are forcing our body to run into different fuel source and that will take 2 – 3+ weeks and unfortunately it could take longer up to 6 weeks. Some people experience body changes when they are going from sugar to fat burning, they call them keto flu, rashes and all sorts of body issues and those are all easily handled and I put a link down below of what to do if you run into fatigue, or this and that. You are basically need more minerals and B vitamins(Nutritional Yeast), sodium, potassium and throw that into the mix and that should reduce those effects. But when you are going through these transition, you are losing weight, but you are going to lose weight a little more later because you have not build up the full capacity of fat burning enzymes yet. When you are fully keto adapted, you could burn some serious fat where before you couldn’t. Before you were discouraged starting out, just realized that you haven’t been fully keto adapted at this point yet. How do you know if you are keto adapted? You don’t have any more cravings for carbs at all, you are not hungry especially between the meals and that you are very satisfied after the meal - If you eat a meals and you basically have to keep eating cause you are still not satisfied you still have an insulin problem so that is going to take some time. You don’t have any headaches, you don’t have any blood sugar symptoms, you are not cranky if you skip a meal, your mood is much better, you don’t have the keto flu anymore, don’t feel tired and not feeling funky, you feel stabilized, you are satisfied and you don’t need snacks and you could go long periods of time without eating, that’s when you know you are in keto adaptation. 6 Tricks to Speed Up Keto Adaptation

Take Dr. Berg's Free Keto Mini-Course: http://pxlme.me/-i717vtY or go here: https://bit.ly/2JbISDo Check out Dr. Berg's Keto Kit: http://bit.ly/keto-kit-cart Dr. Berg talks about 6 tricks to speed up keto adaptation. There's a transition period called keto-adaptation whereby the new cellular machinery is being built. 1. You need to always to keto with intermittent fasting because they both compliment each other and one without the other prolongs the transition phase - due to higher insulin. 2. Apple cider vinegar, with lemon in water will help lower insulin spikes. 3. Electrolytes and nutritional yeast also helps insulin resistance. 4. If you have extreme hunger pains, this can spike stress and the adrenals and release sugar to handle the the low blood sugar - so snack on a little fat, not protein - avocado or pecans will help to get you through this. Fat is the food that triggers insulin the least. 5. Adding more fat meal will help you go longer 6. Adding more green vegetables spike potassium and lower insulin resistance. Biomimicry design, explained with 99% Invisible. Check them out here: https://99percentinvisible.org/ Subscribe to our channel here: http://goo.gl/0bsAjO Japan’s Shinkansen doesn’t look like your typical train. With its long and pointed nose, it can reach top speeds up to 150–200 miles per hour. It didn’t always look like this. Earlier models were rounder and louder, often suffering from the phenomenon of "tunnel boom," where deafening compressed air would rush out of a tunnel after a train rushed in. But a moment of inspiration from engineer and birdwatcher Eiji Nakatsu led the system to be redesigned based on the aerodynamics of three species of birds. Nakatsu’s case is a fascinating example of biomimicry, the design movement pioneered by biologist and writer Janine Benyus. Production environments are constantly evolving and becoming more dynamic. This calls for an economic and efficient adaptation of automation processes to the product’s modifications. With Panda, and the Apps from this bundle, a process such as screwing no longer requires ad hoc integration and highly-trained personnel to be implemented and adapted within your production line. Not only do these Apps make the setting-up of screwing solutions easy and convenient, but they were also designed and developed to guarantee reactive alignment and insertion of the screws and to apply steady forces while tightening and loosening them. https://www.franka.de/

It was discovered by Charles Darwin and Alfred Russel Wallace though Darwin championed the idea in his book "On the Origin of Species". Natural selection can be defined as the process by which random evolutionary changes are selected for by nature in a consistent, orderly, non-random way. When coupled with descent with modification, Natural Selection can cause a population to evolve for fitness within a given environment over multiple generations. Natural Selection is an observable fact. By carefully observing populations of living things with short life cycles you can actually watch it happen. Want to learn more? It could take weeks and months just to add on couple pounds of lean muscle mass. And even though there's no way around the hard work and putting in the time there are proven ways that you can speed up your progress. So Today I'll be going over the 5 best ways to build muscle faster as a natural. And these aren't going to be just some random tips based on broscience, every tip is 100% backed by real scientific evidence. By following the recommendations drawn from the Decades of research on building muscle we can be guaranteed to get faster results. The first way to speed up results is by increasing training frequency, training intensity, and your training volume per session. Training frequency refers to the number of days per week that you work the same muscle groups. So if you only work each muscle in your body once a week, you'll have a lower training frequency than someone working each muscle 3 time a week. With training volume I'm referring to a combination of the total amount of sets and reps you perform for each muscle group. And intensity refers to the weight load you're using. You can think of the total amount of work your perform as frequency x sets x reps x weight load. Studies show that if your goal is to build more muscle we want to work on increasing the total amount of work performed over time as we adapt. One study compared the effects of working muscle groups 1 day per week using a split-body routine versus 3 days per week using a total-body routine. The total body routine 3 times a week had a significant advantage over the split training routine targeting each muscle one time per week. Those in the 3 time per week group experienced a 68 percent increase in quad thickness as well as much greater increases in forearm size and strength when compared to the 1 time per week group. 'Walking Dead' Creator Talks 'Awkward' TV Adaptation Process

Robert Kirkman has a crucial – but "awkward" – role with The Walking Dead: As both creator of the AMC show and writer of the ongoing comic series, he has an up-close view of other screenwriters dismantling his old work in the adaptation process. Kirkman told Seth Meyers during Thursday's episode of Late Night, "It's me in a room with eight people, and I'll go, 'We did this in the comic,' and they go, 'I don't know if that's going to work' or 'It would be better if we did it this way,'" . Most writers of TV or movie source material have the benefit of detachment, but not Kirkman. http://www.rollingstone.com/tv/news/walking-dead-creator-talks-awkward-tv-adaptation-process-20151009 http://www.wochit.com This video was produced by Wochit using http://wochit.com

Kunalsharma.net - Like, Share, Subscribe for More! Marketing Defined (Wikipedia) - "Marketing is a widely used term to describe the means of communication between the company and the consumer audience. Marketing is the adaptation of the commercial activities and use of institutions by the organizations with a purpose to induce behavioral change on a short-term or permanent basis.[1] The American Marketing Association most recently defined Marketing as "the activity, set of institutions, and processes for creating, communicating, delivering, and exchanging offerings that have value for customers, clients, partners, and society at large." [2] The techniques used in marketing include choosing target markets through market analysis and market segmentation, as well as understanding methods of influence on the consumer behavior. The marketing planning creates strategies for the company to place advertising to the dedicated consumer. From a societal point of view, marketing provides the link between a society's material requirements and its economic patterns of response. This way marketing satisfies these needs and wants through the development of exchange processes and the building of long-term relationships. In the case of nonprofit organization marketing, the aim is to increase the deliver an ethos message about the organization's services to the applicable audience. Governments often employ marketing to communicate messages with a social purpose, such as a public health or safety message, to citizens."

Bulking | Cutting | The Truth!!

07:08
Put the science back in strength - http://athleanx.com/x/science Subscribe to this channel here - http://bit.ly/2b0coMW Bulking and cutting is one of the most popular methods of adding muscle fast, but does it work the way you hope it would? In this video, I’m going to show you how you can actually build muscle and burn fat at the same time and significantly change the look of your body by doing so. I will also cover some of the potential pitfalls on the way to the perfect bulk and cut that could be undercutting your end result. To start, it helps to discuss what the theory behind bulking and cutting is for putting on muscle. That discussion needs to start with a determination of what you ultimately want to look like at the end of your bulk and cut. If your goal is to wind up with nothing but pure lean muscle gain then you will have to identify that and understand that your cut is going to have to be precise and must be able to last for the duration. In other words, you will have to cut until every bit of excess body fat that you put on is no longer there, while making sure not to compromise any of the lean muscle mass you added in the process. If on the other hand you simply want to add “size”, for lack of a better term (meaning pack on partial amounts of lean muscle and body fat) then your goals and the practicality of the process would become much simpler to adhere to. For the purposes of this video and channel however, we are assuming that the end product of your bulk and cut would be to add pure lean muscle gains without body fat hiding what you have done. With this said, I argue that this whole process does not have to be segmented into a bulking phase and a cutting phase but rather can be achieved at once (with a significant impact on how you look and feel at the end). By being hypo caloric and maintaining a positive nitrogen balance you can definitely add muscle and burn fat at the same time, albeit at a slightly slower but much more consistent and maintainable rate. When the longevity of your appearance and gains is what is paramount, the alternative of spending half the year fat and a few months comfortable enough with your physique to take off your shirt is not an option. When you bulk and cut at the same time you can walk around 365 days a year looking your best while steadily accruing lean muscle year over year. The risk of bulking and then cutting is often that the adaptation to going into a sustainable hypo caloric diet becomes daunting and as soon as it cannot be maintained, the results are lost. Many people will enter into a bulk and never fully come out of it. There are many a gym filled with guys spending hours each week on cardio trying to reverse the effects of a long ago bulk gone wrong. If instead you focused on staying slightly hypocaloric while increasing your protein intake to support positive nitrogen balance needed to keep a net protein synthesis, you would find that you could add pure lean muscle more consistently. Now, this process will be a slightly slower one than trying to force your body to grow more quickly but the end result will be more sustainable and consistent. For a complete program that walks you through the process of eating foods you love while allowing you to lose fat if you desire while adding pure lean muscle, head to http://athleanx.com and get the ATHLEAN-X Training System. Learn to eat and train like an athlete and get gains that you can keep and proudly show off three hundred and sixty five days a year. This video has a handout here: http://www.amoebasisters.com/handouts.html We appreciate feedback on our videos and pin clarifications on our videos if needed. We do wish we had been more clear stating that the Krebs cycle "'indirectly" requires oxygen" instead of just stating it "requires oxygen" ---as we do not want to imply that oxygen is a reactant in the Krebs cycle (Citric Acid Cycle). While oxygen is not a reactant for the Krebs Cycle, the oxidation steps of the Krebs Cycle cannot occur without the presence of oxygen. The male reproductive system is located in the pelvis region. It includes a pair of testis along with accessory ductglands and the external genitalia. It consists of a pair of testis lodged in an integumentary pouch - the scrotum. Initially they are abdominal, however as the development proceeds they descend down into the scrotum. It has been proved that this adaptation enables regulation of internal temperature of the testes higher than body temperature which is essential for their normal functioning. In adults, each testis oval in shape, with a length of about 4 to 5cm and a width about 2 to 3cm. The testis is covered by a dense covering, each testis has about 250 compartments called testicular lobules. Each lobule contains one to three highly cord somniferous tubules in which sperms are produced. Many such somniferous tubules after exit again from a complex network of tubular system known as rete-testis. Small ducts from rete-testis again unite to from a large convoluted duct called as epididymis, in which sperms are stored. Epididymis continues into vas deferens which carry sperms away from the testis. Vas deferens after curving back over lower abdominal area enlarge to form ampulla, in which opens a coiled tube with sacculated walls; this is the seminal vesicle. It is supposed to perform nutritive function by providing fructose and other nutrients to maintain vitality of sperms. By the union of seminal vesicular ducts and vas deferens a short canal is formed is called as ejaculatory duct which further unites with the ureter to from a common passage the urethra - which opens to outside of the body through the penis. Seminiferous tubule is lined on its inside by two types of cells called: Male germ cells undergo meiotic division finally leading to sperm formation. Sertoli cells provide nutrition to the germ cells. Outside of Seminiferous tubules called interstitial spaces, contain small blood vessels and interstitial cells or Leydig cells. Leydig cells synthesise and secrete testicular hormones called androgens.
