Check out Kalvinator Engines: http://www.kalvinatorengines.com Properly assembling your pistons before installation is critical to the life of your engine. If you don't get it right, the results can be catastrophic. Kevin Frische has been doing this work a long time. In fact, he taught performance engine building at UNOH for several years. In this video, Kevin shows us how he assembles pistons in a performance application like #DarkMatterPikachu. If you'd like to know more about how to properly gap piston rings, check out this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uAguO3EPzcI My pistons and rotating assembly: http://www.pbm-erson.com/Catalog/PBM/Rotating%20Assemblies/PBM%20Forged%20Rotating%20Assemblies/KIT34754FHS Thanks to Kevin Frische for his help in this video. Fiat Piston Installation Part 1

15:55
Fiat X19 Piston Installation Part 1 points out key elements when installing the wrist pins and rings. For this build I am using 1500 used piston heads with wrist pins, my original 1300 piston rods and end caps, and chrome rings for a 86.4mm bore. I am not a mechanic, consult your service manual, technicians and qualified YouTube Creators to install your engine parts. I am pointing out key elements, I am not teaching how to install engine components. It is vital that the piston identification numbers on the piston rod and it's end cap end up on the same side of the engine block. To accomplish this, I set up the installation so that the piston rod number would be on the same side as the piston head valve reliefs, or scallops as I call them. The service manual indicates these numbers on the rods should be on the side of the auxiliary shaft on the engine. The Haynes manual does not indicate this. Checked with a mechanic who specializes in these engines and he indicated does not matter which side of engine the rod numbers are on as long as they are all on the same side of engine. Next on the Fiat X19 piston installation part 1 video, I ordered new 86.4mm chrome rings from Midwest-Bayless to fit the new 1500 piston heads. I had to ensure that the shear gaps and end gaps where within tolerances for all rings in all pistons. To keep the rings organized I set up bags labelled for each ring for each piston. I used my dremel to make a ring gaping tool to ensure the ring ends remained parallel when removing ring material. Only the top rings needed to be gaped as they were .010 and needed to be between .012 - .015 Spend the money on piston ring expanding pliers. They are cheap and will prevent breaking the rings which will cost you far more. All parts from midwest_bayless.com Check out all my 1978 FIAT X1/9 restoration videos and like, comment and subscribe. Build Playlist https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLzJ0LQjPgipeAm8uM4qVuplEmx7P5CYxW Shows how to install piston rings and the piston to the connecting rod in an engine, which can be a small (e.g. Predator 212cc, Briggs) or any automotive engine. Installing piston rings and a piston into the bore is part of a build playlist to add performance mods to a mini bike engine. Installing piston rings and a performance piston will allow you to have less horsepower robbing drag, and let you reliably rev to very high rpms. A performance piston is only one part of the puzzle, and should be used in conjunciton with other performance parts for maximum performance and safety. om603 connecting rod small end bush installation

07:57
1 i press bush just few millimetters to get it loose. 2 sand edge to get it rounded. i installed 3 bushes without doing this ang all damaged. 3 airblasted sand out. 4 press bush backward and blasted shit out again. 5press bush again few millimeters out. this is important! do not press old bush out!!!!!!!!!!! old bush working as a guide when new bush pressed in. 5 cool down new bush to get smoother mowment. first i didnt do this and i really feel somethin is wrong when pressing in. i pressed new bush out and it was damaged. i also cooled my tool. i used my lathe to do tool wich pushes new bush correct depth. so i just press new bush down and it is centered. when i pressing new bush down, i release pressure few times to get bush better self alignment. also piece of rubbersheet is used between piston and tool. maybe it is unnecessary, but i feel better to do so. engine now working and sounds nice.

Enginetech piston review

05:14
This video is a quick unboxing and initial impression review of the Enginetech ls1 pistons. The Pistons were purchased from Rockauto, and cost about $200.00 when shipped. My first impression of these pistons is that they look good. The quality and build look satisfactory to me and what i will be using them for. However, if you are looking to make a significant amount of power, I would probably suggest looking as something higher in price point. Stay tuned for a further in depth review once the pistons are installed in the truck and have run for a while.

Buy Honda OEM brake caliper seals: http://www.partzilla.com/parts/detail/honda/HP-06451-961-405.html?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=description_atf Learn how to remove the front brake caliper on an ATV, how to take it apart, and how to replace the brake caliper seals. In this video, while bleeding the front brakes, John detects a leak coming from his front brake line. Since it’s not coming from the hose, this means we have a leak in our front brake caliper seals. To fix this issue, John shows you how to remove the carrier that holds the front brake pads and the front brake caliper and how to take apart the front brake caliper and remove the piston. He then shows you how to replace two seals on the front brake caliper, how to rebuild the front brake caliper one part at a time, and finally how to reinstall the caliper back onto the machine. Xi3's Piston modular console available Nov. 29 - http://www.polygon.com/2013/9/30/4787188/xi3s-piston-modular-console-available-nov-29 Xi3 will launch the palm-sized customizable Piston console on Nov. 29. The console features 8 GB of RAM and an 128 GB SSD, "native triple monitor support," support for controllers, keyboard and mouse and virtual reality headsets, computer and TV displays -- and all of that can be upgraded and customized at users' whims. Piston is available for pre-order through Xi3's website for $999. Researchers express concerns about APA Task Force on Violent Media - http://www.polygon.com/2013/9/30/4786466/group-of-228-calls-on-apa-to-review-media-violence-research The Entertainment Software Association is on board with proposed revisions to a 2005 American Psychological Association policy statement on media and violence. A group of 228 academics, researchers and psychologists called upon the APA yesterday to use an "objective scientific process" when revisiting and revising the policy, which the group stated has "methodological flaws, ideological biases, and conclusions drawn from inconsistent or weak evidence." The cult of the cookie clicker: When is a game not a game? - http://www.polygon.com/2013/9/30/4786780/the-cult-of-the-cookie-clicker-when-is-a-game-not-a-game Cookie Clicker. Why does it exist? What does it mean? Creator Julien Thiennot doesn't call himself a game developer, but he does profess to make "experimental prototypes." Cookie Clicker is one of them. We sat down with Thiennot to learn the origin of the rolling-pin-wielding granny-laden game and the other projects on his table. Assassin's Creed 4 launching Nov. 19 on PC; Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag and the terrible beauty of naval warfare - http://www.polygon.com/2013/9/30/4787464/assassins-creed-4-black-flag-pc-release-date According to game director Ashraf Ismail, Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag isn't going for realism with its depiction of naval warfare — but rather, "credibility." Real-life moves have been tweaked to produce more fast-paced and fluid mechanics that will keep players having fun. But a smooth, naval-based mode for multiplayer just wasn't an option — Ubisoft felt it couldn't make a sufficiently polished one without "negatively impacting the rest of the game." Yamaha YFZ450R Top End Rebuild Part 2: Rebuild | Partzilla.com

Your 2009 Yamaha YFZ450R top end rebuild parts are here: http://bit.ly/yamaha-YFZ450R-top-end-rebuild-parts-list The top end rebuild on our 2009 Yamaha YFZ450R continues here in part two of our three part series. In this video, we start with the top end torn down and now we’re building it back up. John will show you how to position the piston rings correctly and then connecting the piston. Once the piston is in place, we’ll install a new cylinder. Our original part was worn, so a new cylinder seemed like the best option. Then, we’ll work up the motor and install the head. That will include setting the cam timing on our YFX450R and getting the chain tensioner in place. Finally, we’ll bolt on the valve cover and replace the spark plug. C-3PO Costume Blog 18 - 3D Printed Arm Pistons & Chest Pistons

07:56
The pistons that came with the C-3PO suit that I purchased are very nice, but I wanted something a little more functional. 3D Printing to the rescue! I designed these pieces myself, based on as many sources as I could find. They should be approximately 1:1 scale. The brass part of the piston is 3/16 of an inch. The wire I am planning on using for the chest pistons is 12 gauge. If you'd like to print off the files yourself, they are available for FREE on Thingiverse.
