Often data contains a parent-child relationship between rows in the same table. For example, company org charts and family trees. You can use the power of SQL to traverse these hierarchical relationships. There are two ways to do this in Oracle Database: - Connect By - Recursive With Watch this video to learn about data trees and find out how these work! Arizona Zipline Adventures and Peppersauce Station Oracle, AZ with 7 and 8 year olds

08:20
Our family had a blast riding the ziplines! The boys were a little nervous, but not too much. After riding on the first line they were hooked! No doubt, they wanted to go again. We got there a little bit earlier than our reservations, so we had time to grab a tasty bite to eat and check out other fun stuff they had at their Peppersauce Station. Since Arizona Zipline Adventures is up on Mt Lemmon, just north of Tucson, the weather is perfect this time of year. Ryger managed to be over the minimum weight, which was 50 lbs, but Eliza and Alora were too small for this adventure. Hope you find some fun this weekend! how to use sql variable in oracle || oracle sql tutorial 13

08:29
in this video i will show you how to use variable in oracle sql plus for more detail join our facebook group ,https://www.facebook.com/groups/242999206136244/ The basics: & and && Just about everyone has defined a variable in SQL*Plus using &. The basics: & and && indicate substitution variables in SQL*Plus scripts or commands. &variablename is used to refer to the variable variablename in SQL*Plus, much the same way $variablename is used in shell scripts. If variablename is undefined, then SQL*Plus prompts the user for a value. Everything from the & to the following space is considered the variable name. For example, in select &foo from dual;, &foo refers to the variable foo. If you run the LIST_INDEXES script again, you won’t be prompted for a table name at all. Instead, the value entered earlier will be reused, and you will again see information about the project_hours table and its indexes. The reason for this is that once you define a variable, that definition sticks around until you either exit SQL*Plus or explicitly undefine the variable. .----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------. video courses- list of playlist : tips and trics link► https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLOfLYVXrwqXrI5jvwUEi6N13QR4xCj2k2 command prompt commands: link►https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLOfLYVXrwqXobXGUdGk6JhzyQ216dNiQL oracle sql: link►https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLOfLYVXrwqXqoUWCoh4cARGDW13SofDO- c programming: link►https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLOfLYVXrwqXrZ_Ub8EXeLY7YP1YxhoJzf .-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------. watch more videos: learn oracle sql online overview tutorail : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dfesgj4w8QA&t=8s how to fix or repair a corrupted usb flash drive or cd card using command prompt: https://www.youtube.com/edit?video_id... how to copy a folder using cmd: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lblhb... how to move a folder using cmd: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YFfHZ... how to dell files in cmd: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3-lqg... how to make and remove directory: https://www.youtube.com/edit?video_id... how to change color and title in cmd: https://www.youtube.com/edit?video_id... how to change directory in command prompt: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SmLYx... .-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------. social media links: join our group: ► https://www.facebook.com/groups/24299... ► Follow on Google+: http://[email protected] ► Follow on Twitter: https://twitter.com/@rananavi4766669 :

SQL Server Cursor Types - Dynamic Cursors | SQL Server Tutorial

16:57
Cursors are the objects those allow us to access the data row by row from result set. Dynamic Cursors are update-able. The dynamic cursor will fetch the changes (insert, update or delete) on each fetch while cursor is open if any modification happened to original data in table/s. This type of Cursor is helpful when we want to extract the records from original table/s while cursor is open and we are still in process of modification of data or inserting new records and want to include them in cursor result set to perform operation. Dynamic cursors are scrollable (First,Last,Prior,Next,Relative) but absolute option does not work with dynamic Cursors. What is REVERSE INDEX? What does REVERSE INDEX mean? REVERSE INDEX meaning & explanation

04:05
What is REVERSE INDEX? What does REVERSE INDEX mean? REVERSE INDEX meaning - REVERSE INDEX definition - REVERSE INDEX explanation. Source: Wikipedia.org article, adapted under https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/ license. SUBSCRIBE to our Google Earth flights channel - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC6UuCPh7GrXznZi0Hz2YQnQ Database management systems provide multiple types of indexes to improve performance and data integrity across diverse applications. Index types include b-trees, bitmaps, and r-trees. In database management systems, a reverse key index strategy reverses the key value before entering it in the index. E.g., the value 24538 becomes 83542 in the index. Reversing the key value is particularly useful for indexing data such as sequence numbers, where each new key value is greater than the prior value, i.e., values monotonically increase. Reverse key indexes have become particularly important in high volume transaction processing systems because they reduce contention for index blocks. Reversed key indexes use b-tree structures, but preprocess key values before inserting them. Simplifying, b-trees place similar values on a single index block, e.g., storing 24538 on the same block as 24539. This makes them efficient both for looking up a specific value and for finding values within a range. However if the application inserts values in sequence, each insert must have access to the newest block in the index in order to add the new value. If many users attempt to insert at the same time, they all must write to that block and have to get in line, slowing down the application. This is particularly a problem in clustered databases, which may require the block to be copied from one computer's memory to another's to allow the next user to perform their insert. Reversing the key spreads similar new values across the entire index instead of concentrating them in any one leaf block. This means that 24538 appears on the same block as 14538 while 24539 goes to a different block, eliminating this cause of contention. (Since 14538 would have been created long before 24538, their inserts don't interfere with each other.) Reverse indexes are just as efficient as unreversed indexes for finding specific values, although they aren't helpful for range queries. Range queries are uncommon for artificial values such as sequence numbers. When searching the index, the query processor simply reverses the search target before looking it up. Typically, applications delete data that is older on average before deleting newer data. Thus, data with lower sequence numbers generally go before those with higher values. As time passes, in standard b-trees, index blocks for lower values end up containing few values, with a commensurate increase in unused space, referred to as "rot". Rot not only wastes space, but slows query speeds, because a smaller fraction of a rotten index's blocks fit in memory at any one time. In a b-tree, if 14538 gets deleted, its index space remains empty. In a reverse index, if 14538 goes before 24538 arrives, 24538 can reuse 14538's space.

Hadoop Applications Simplified - Nitin Motgi

48:50
This talk is part of Cerner's Tech Talk series. Check us out at http://engineering.cerner.com/ and @CernerEng Though Apache Hadoop and related projects are driving big data innovation, a significant opportunity remains to realize the full potential business impact of open source big data solutions. There are significant challenges to delivering Hadoop applications: • Specialized skills are required for using Hadoop preventing most developers from effectively building solutions • Moving from proof-of-concept to production is difficult and can take months or quarters • No clear separation between business logic and infrastructure APIs increases application complexity and total cost of ownership • Data ingestion in realtime and batch currently involves piecing together multiple different technologies • Traditional concepts and tools for application life cycle management have not been available The Cask Data Application Platform (CDAP) (http://cdap.io) is an open source platform for quickly building, deploying, and managing Hadoop solutions (such as ETL, IoT, analytics applications, and closed loop applications). Its built-in capabilities for data ingestion, building complex data access patterns on various storage systems and the mixing of different processing paradigms, lets developers and data scientists be productive building solutions in minutes. It supports high-level concepts and abstractions that hide infrastructure complexity and enable reusability. CDAP provides greater reliability and predictability to Hadoop solutions with testing frameworks and developer/devops tools. In this presentation, Nitin Motgi, co-founder and CTO of Cask Data, will share ideas and use-cases behind the designing and building of CDAP, its architecture, core concepts, and building blocks, and demonstrate the platform. He will also talk about specific customer use-cases and how they have benefited by adopting this open source technology. About the Speaker Nitin Motgi is Founder and CTO of Cask, where he is responsible for developing the company's long-term technology, driving company engineering initiatives and collaboration. Prior to Cask, Nitin was at Yahoo! working on a large-scale content optimization system externally known as C.O.R.E. Prior to Yahoo!, Nitin led the development of large-scale fabrication analysis system at Altera, and he previously held senior engineering roles at FedEx. Nitin holds a Master's degree in computer science from University of Central Florida (UCF).

ORACLE APP CRM ONLINE TRAINING IN GERMANY

01:21
www.saponlinetraining.in is providing oracle app crm online training contactus:+91-9533456356,USA:+1-847-787-7647,[email protected], By Real Time Experts in USA, Canada, Australia. Software as a Service CRM Suite CRM on Demand includes a full CRM suite of sales, marketing and service as well as several ancillary modules and vertical market solutions which bring unique positioning to an increasingly crowded cloud market. Sales Force Automation CRM on Demand's sales capabilities are fairly traditional when it comes to account, contact and opportunity management as well as administrative functions such as calendar and task management. Forecasting does deliver somewhat advanced functionality in that multiple simultaneous forecasts can be created using up to four different forecast types across products and services. However, where the sales force automation software delivers unique value is with its sales coaching, closed loop lead management and embedded analytics. Quota management is another effective sales management tool. Sales managers can design quotas with real time performance visibility to keep sales pros focused on their personal goals. Quotas can be defined as monthly, quarterly, or yearly goals and managers can prorate quotas for sales pros joining a plan already in progress. Quota performance visibility includes plan progress to date compared to closed revenue, expected revenue and forecasted revenue. CRM on Demand uses plug and play gadgets to view important metrics or display always-on data sets. For example, gadgets include search or views of contacts, top accounts, and top deals with visual comparison against sales targets. Users may also create their own gadgets. Beyond gadgets, the product delivers comparatively strong analytics. Sales intelligence can be interrogated and modeled for expanded insight, or sales staff may benefit from viewing prepackaged analytics such as average sales cycle, win rates, deal size, and other key performance metrics. Similar to Microsoft Dynamics CRM, CRM On Demand uses Microsoft Outlook or a mobile device as an offline client to accommodate sales staff who are not in the office or without Internet connectivity. The workflow tool brings real value for sales teams. For example, companies with products or services which include warranties, contracts or subscription renewals may develop a workflow to email a customer 30 days prior to a contract renewal date and create an activity for the sales person to reach out to the customer. Escalations can then be setup so that if the customer renewal is not received by a specified date, additional resources can be applied. Oracle has diverse social CRM tools but developing a holistic social strategy and equipping its various CRM products with social tools is a slow process. CRM on Demand social CRM capabilities include contact integration with social network streams such as Facebook or LinkedIn through feeds and RSS subscriptions. This is useful for sales pros that want to keep current with the online activities of their prospects. The company has released Fusion social apps as well as apps that run on its enterprise social networking platform. Separate from the CRM On Demand solution, these apps are purpose-built to help salespeople within a company collaborate and close deals based on shared information. For example, Oracle Sales Prospector searches reams of sales-data and purchase-history information to guide sales pros to the most likely prospects for a product or service. It informs salespeople with a graphical view on those potential deals most likely to close within specific time frames, and estimates the likelihood to close, time to close, and the expected revenue. It's an impressive component, but not part of the CRM on Demand suite. Comparatively speaking, the CRM on Demand product lags other SaaS CRM solutions in social media adoption.

Stephanie and Lex introduce 'CASE WHEN' statements, SQL's method of managing IF/THEN logic based on conditional statements. For any row, if the conditional statements are met, the output is given by the 'THEN' command. The 'UNION' operator is included in the query to integrate all rows in the result sets of two queries in this example. Can't get enough PDQ?
