This is a very complicated world. It’s a very noisy world. And we’re not going to get a chance to get people to remember much about us. No company is! And so, we have to be really clear on what we want them to know about us. Now Apple, fortunately, is one of half-a-dozen best brands in the whole world. Right up there with Nike, Disney, Coke, Sony — it is one of the greats of the greats. Not just in this country, but all around the globe. But even a great brand needs investment and caring if it’s going to retain its relevance and vitality. And the Apple brand has clearly suffered from neglect in this area in the last few years. And we need to bring it back! The way to do that is NOT to talk about speeds and fees. It’s NOT to talk about bits and mega-hertz. It’s NOT to talk about why we are better than Windows. The dairy industry tried for 20 years to convince you that milk was good for you. It’s a lie, but they tried anyway. And the sales were falling. And then they tried “Got milk” and the sales went up. “Got milk” wasn’t even talking about the product. In fact, it focuses on the absence of the product. But the best example of all, and one of the greatest jobs of marketing that the universe has ever seen, is Nike. Remember, Nike sells a commodity. They sell shoes!!! And yet, when you think of Nike you feel something different than a shoe company. In their ads, as you know, they don’t ever talk about the product. They don’t ever tell you about their air soles and why they are better than Reebok’s air soles. What does Nike do in their advertising? They honor great athletes. And they honor great athletics. That’s who they are, that’s what they are about! Apple spends a fortune on advertising — you’d never know it….you’d never know it! So…when I got here, Apple just fired their agency and there was a competition with 23 agencies that…you know…four years from now we would pick one. And we blew that up and we hired Chiat\Day, the ad agency that I was fortunate enough to work with years ago and created some award winning work including the commercial voted the best ad ever made, 1984 (by Advertising Professionals). And…we started working about eight weeks ago, and the question we asked was, “Our customers want to know who is Apple and what is it that we stand for…where do we fit in this world?” And what we’re about isn’t making boxes for people to get their jobs done — although we do that well. We do that better than almost anybody, in some cases. But Apple is about something more than that! Apple at the core…its core value — is that, we believe that people with passion can change the world for the better. That’s what we believe! And we have had the opportunity to work with people like that. We’ve had the opportunity to work with people like you; with software developers, with customers, who have done it. In some big, and some small ways. And we believe that, in this world, people can change it for the better. And that those people who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world are the ones that actually do! And so, what we’re going to do in our first brand marketing campaign in several years, is to get back to that core value! A lot of things have changed. The market is in a total different place than where it was a decade ago. And Apple is totally different — and Apple’s place in it is totally different. And believe me, the products, and the distribution strategy, and the manufacturing are totally different…and we understand that. But values and core values — those things shouldn’t change. The things that Apple believed in at its core, are the same things Apple really stands for today. Here’s what to do before anything else. The purpose of a product launch is to drive traffic and sales to your online business, so that it can grow and thrive. Launching a new product is a great way to attract new customers, but it takes time to plan and execute. Many entrepreneurs feel the need to promote their products right away, and end up rushing the process. The result can be disastrous. In the words of David Ramsey, "People are in such a hurry to launch their product that they seldom look at marketing from a bird's eye view and they don't create a systematic plan." A successful product launch starts with a great strategy, and I'm here to walk you through it. Are you ready to learn the step-by-step process for launching your product? Here's what to do before anything else. This page contains affiliate links. If you purchase a product through one of them, I will receive a commission (at no additional cost to you). Product Marketing for New Products

27:12
You might have the greatest product on earth, but if your potential customers don’t know they need it, they won’t know they have to buy it — let alone buy it from you. This may seem obvious, but it’s actually an important concept to pause and focus on, because it affects everything from understanding who your buyer really is and who the competition are to how you set the buying criteria and frame the problem your product solves for customers. In this deck, first presented at one of our company building events in early 2017, a16z partner Sharon Chang -- who managed product marketing at Opsware; directed product marketing at HP Software as well as other companies; and headed marketing at Rockmelt -- covers the fundamentals of product marketing for new products. And the fundamentals behind the fundamentals are all about your story, capturing it and scaling it so it’s just as compelling when your first sales rep conveys it as when you first heard it from the founder.

Go-to-market strategy examples

16:01
We’ll give you three examples to best build a go-to-market strategy that will help you make money and drive long-term growth. Get a free trial of our new sales and marketing planning software at: http://register.funnelplan.com/ -------------- The right strategy doesn't depend on your product, but your buyers. Let's take a look at the companies, their buyers, and their strategy. At the end I'll give you a model for working this out for yourself. Desktop Computers For my first example, let's take a company that wants to own the desktop computing market. Firstly, come up with something that's truly amazing and different, clever, unique. Take that to as broad a market as you possibly can, and this is what the company I'm about to talk about did. Take it to as broad a market as you possibly can. Find out from that early market experience what group of buyers are likely to be a good market for you to focus on in the future. Start very broadly, selling very widely. Find the pattern and then find a niche that you think might be worth dominating, and then completely change the strategy and focus just on that. Leader in an enterprise software category For my second go to market strategy example, I'm going to pick an established player in an established market. Very different story. This established player in an established market had done such a good job of riding the enterprise applications market, that they were near dominant in that space. That's good news, but it's also bad news. The bad news is that pretty much all of the market, the enterprise market, had already bought either from this company, or from one of their competitors. Whilst they enjoyed the lion's share of the market, the market was pretty much drying up. Everybody had bought a product like this from either them or from their competitor. Challenger in enterprise software For my third go to market strategy example, again I'll stick to a mature market, but this time the company's not the gorilla. In fact, they're probably fourth on a good day. Maybe less, maybe fifth or sixth in the market. It's a big market, and they've done well, they've profited, and they've used those profits to continue to invest in sales and marketing as well as R&D. The problem is that as the market started to decline, their fortunes declined. They'll continue to invest, but they're investing in order to grow their share in a market that was pretty much consolidating. Now we're losing money hand over fist. What's the right strategy then? It muѕt contain сеrtаіn рrоgrаmѕ, tасtісѕ аnd dеtаіlѕ, including ѕоmе ѕtаtіѕtісѕ оn hоw уоur рrоduсtѕ аrе fаrіng іn thе mаrkеt. Yоur marketing ѕаmрlе plan muѕt соntаіn rеturn vіѕіtѕ, сuѕtоmеr reviews, dіnnеrѕ ѕеrvеd аnd mаrkеtіng mеѕѕаgе, аmоng оthеrѕ. Revisions to your Marketing Plan Sample Starting a buѕіnеѕѕ is nоt a ѕіmрlе сhоrе аѕ it rеԛuіrеѕ соmрlеtе dеdісаtіоn аnd оf соurѕе, саріtаl whісh is your hаrd-еаrnеd mоnеу. Whether we talk about goods or services, we can say, usually, people are not just buying a product that solves one of their basic needs. They acquire the benefits and satisfaction they believe they’ll obtain from the product. They are interested in symbols and ideas that help them relate the product to a desired lifestyle and positive expectations about the future. Customers do not simply buy products because they satisfy their needs. Instead, they are interested in becoming clients of firms that offer them a complete product concept – an idea or a promise, if you will. The best products make people happier and create a positive expectation before being consumed.

99.9% Of eCommerce Products Will NEVER Sell Without this! | eCommerce Marketing Strategy

04:44
If you want to make money from the web, it's not as simple as setting up a Shopify store and just generating sales. If it was that easy, no one would be going into an office and working in the normal workforce. Today I'm going to share why 99% of eCommerce will never sell without this. You'll learn an easy eCommerce marketing strategy that can help you grow your ecommerce sales quickly and effectively. RESOURCES & LINKS: ____________________________________________ 7 Proven Ways to Grow eCommerce Sales By 50% or More (video): https://youtu.be/ECFguym4230 5 Ecommerce Optimization Tips to Improve Your Product Page Conversion Rates (video): https://youtu.be/_e_0iu54wUQ ____________________________________________ So are you wondering what that one thing is? It's persuasive copy. No, I'm not talking about a tool or anything like that. It really is copy. Just think of it this way, someone lands on your site, whether you do ads or SEO or email marketing, they check out this product that you're selling, but then, they don't see much. They just see a few sentences, maybe a picture. You think they're going to buy? No, that's why over 95, 98, 99% of your visitors don't convert. And it's why you're creating eCommerce products, putting them on your store and you're like, huh, why am I not getting any sales? It's because of the copy. You're not interacting with the person. When you go to a physical store, you're interacting potentially with a salesperson. That salesperson guides you, they help you, they, oh, you need this size to try on for this shirt? Oh, this looks good, oh no, that doesn't look good, you shouldn't get that, but instead, you should get this. You don't have that on the web. So, what do you have to do to convince people to buy? You need persuasive copy. So now that you know that it's persuasive copy, let's go over a few things that you can do to make sure that your copy is truly persuasive. One, talk about the benefit. It's not just about hey, I'm selling this product, it's about the solution that, that product is giving people to their problems. For example, if you're selling toilet paper, and toilet paper, the one that you're selling is so soft people don't have a rough bum from that, your solution is ultra-soft toilet paper. It'll make you feel like your bum is sitting on clouds. I'm making it up. And if your reviews on that page enforce that, you're going to get more sales, right? So, you have to talk about the solution and the benefit that your solution is providing. The second tip I have for you, persuasive copy isn't just copy. A picture says a thousand words. So, if your pictures are amazing in your eCommerce product, you'll do really well. Taking professional pictures, 360 degree view cameras, showcasing your products, all this stuff will help boost sales and conversions. The third thing, reviews. The copy isn't just about how much can you convince people to buy your product, it's also how much can other people convince others to buy your product. You need a lot of reviews on your site. Whether they're bad reviews or good reviews, let them all through because they'll help tell other people if they should be buying your product. And the fourth tip when it comes to persuasive copy, you need to make sure you go really in-depth on every little thing that your product provides. Every feature, every nook and cranny of it. Think about any objections someone has when it comes to buying your product. If you answer all those objections in the copy, you'll get more sales. And the last tip I have for you, your copy doesn't end on your product page. From your checkout page to the thank you page, all of that's copy. If you can optimize your checkout page and be like get this delivered to you within two days, emphasizing free shipping, things like that can help boost your sales. Using a two-step checkout instead of a one-step checkout, that of course, helps boost sales as well. Doing things like on your thank you page after they checkout, upselling more products and services, that of course, boosts sales. If you do those things, you'll start seeing that more of your products will start selling. ► If you need help growing your business check out my ad agency Neil Patel Digital @ https://neilpateldigital.com/ ►Subscribe: https://goo.gl/ScRTwc to learn more secret SEO tips. ►Find me on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/neilkpatel/ #eCommerce #NeilPatel #DigitalMarketing

My Best Marketing Strategies for [2018] | Creative Growth Plans for Business

04:53
Want to know my marketing strategy for 2018? ►►Subscribe here to learn more of my secret SEO tips: https://goo.gl/ScRTwc Find me on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/neilkpatel/ Read more on my blog: https://neilpatel.com/blog 2018 is going to be an exciting year. The analysis on how much money we're spending to generate the traffic and here's what's crazy, most people don't realize this, we generate, let's say a million visitors a month on Neil Patel. Do you know what the cost to get there is with video, production, podcasting, blogging, promotion, ads, link building? $110,000 a month. That's what it averaged out to for 2017. Here are my marketing strategies for 2018. I just bought a blog in the marketing space for a half a million bucks. They get a million visitors a month, and it's cheaper to spend money acquiring people who already have the traffic. So in 2017, I bought Uber Suggest, I think it was around 140 grand. They had very little traffic. I 381 redirected the site, traffic increased and guess what happened? Nothing. I hoped that my traffic would go through the roof, but nothing happened. Uber Suggest was a good acquisition and what I ended up learning from that is, who cares about links? Don't buy anything for the links. Buy it purely based off of traffic and just pay a simple metric. If Uber Suggest has roughly 200,000 visitors per month, I paid a hundred and something; I would have paid 200 grand, the money didn't matter. For a blog that I just spent half a million on, their traffic ranges. On a horrible month, they'll get around 800,000 uniques. In a perfect month, they'll get around, like, 1.2, 1.3 million uniques, and all I'm doing right now is buying as many blogs as possible. My marketing strategy for 2018 is to buy blogs based on of traffic. I look at the top posts that they have and how qualified their visitors are and determine if I can successfully monetize their content. I don't even care if they have revenue. If they don't have revenue, even better. The problem with Search Engine Journal is that they have conferences, they have advertising, and they have contracts for all of it. I don't care for any of that. I just want the traffic. So when you buy all these people for traffic and then you put it into your monetization flow, you can quickly figure out, what is this worth? If I can't make my money back in less than 12 months, I will not buy it. The other marketing strategy that I use when I'm buying these sites is to look for blogs that aren't monetized well. The blog that I ended up buying for half a million bucks, they're not even making three grand a month. If you're not even making three grand a month, that's a good deal, right? They're like; you're going to give me half a million dollars for this? No problem. Another creative marketing strategy I'm doing right now, is trying to buy a really popular marketing tool. I don't want to pay them all the money they're asking for because they want well into the millions, and it isn't worth it. But, I'm trying to work out a deal where I give them X amount of money up front, let's say a million dollars, and then give them a hundred thousand a month over X amount of months or a hundred thousand a year over X amount of years. When I see inefficiencies in sites, I figure I can purchase them and double the revenue because they aren't optimized for traffic or conversions. So buy it for what it's worth, optimize it, and then use the profits to pay them out continually. That way you're not using all of your money and the business is paying, you may have spent a bit more money, but personally, you don't have to spend as much money, and that's my marketing strategy for 2018. My goal is to spend at least $5 million acquiring businesses purely based on their traffic. If you need help or have questions about online or digital marketing or of you're a small business looking for help, leave a comment or question below and I'll personally answer and help you in any way I can!

There are three degrees of brand loyalty: Awareness Preference And Insistence Marketing communication revolves around the three. Customers must know a product exists. Once they do, we need to convince them it is better than competitor products so they can develop a preference. In the best-case scenario, customers who prefer the product will understand its features well, which will develop informational awareness, and that will make them able to explain its benefits to other customers. Continued purchasing of a product, brand insistence, is the goal of promotional communication. It occurs when customers link a product with their own lifestyle. The feeling of personal connection turns repeated customers into raving fans.

How to Launch Your First Amazon FBA Product: 6 Hacks to a Home-Run Success (w/ Daniel Audunsson)

14:56
How to launch your first Amazon FBA product + 6 hacks to make it a home-run success. ►► How to Make $10,000/Month Online: http://wholesaleted.com/4-step There are 2 secrets that you need to know to launch your first Amazon FBA product and make it a home-run success even if it’s your first product. And these 2 secrets are… 1) Sales Velocity 2) Conversions These are the 2 key factors the Amazon algorithm uses when choosing which products will sit at the top of their search results (the search engine accounts for 90% of sales on Amazon). Here is what you need to do to launch your first Amazon FBA product and make it a home-run success (even if it’s your first product): You need to match (or ideally improve on) the sales velocity & conversions of your top competitor for 2 weeks. If you do this… then your item will soar to the top of the search results - and YOU’LL start making all of the organic sales for your product! Hack #1 to launch your first Amazon FBA private label product & make initial sales: Use product giveaways Product giveaways for your Amazon FBA private label product are one of the most powerful strategies at your disposal for massively increasing your sales velocity & conversions. You can’t give products away for free but you can give people a heavily discounted coupon that lets them buy it for just 99 cents, which means you are basically giving it away for free. And this is simple: Sign up for a service like JumpSend or ZonBlast. These services have a huge membership base of people that are keen to purchase heavily discounted items on Amazon. They will then distribute your coupon to it’s members. Not only will this drastically increase your sales, but the conversions will be high: You can expect around 50%. Hack #2 to launch your first Amazon FBA private label product & make initial sales: Lower the price If your item starts getting sales (product giveaways are of course a great way to do this) and traction, you can then attract more sales from simply lowering the price below your competition for a week or two. If your product is already ranked in the top few results and you want to climb to the top, this strategy alone can be enough. Hack #3 to launch your first Amazon FBA private label product & make initial sales: Use SuperURLs When someone clicks on your product listing after finding it using the Amazon search engine, they enter using a SuperURL: It’s a URL containing tracking information that tells the Amazon algorithm that they arrived at your listing through finding it using the search engine. You can give people this URL instead of your usual product URL to trick the algorithm into thinking that people found (and bought your item) through finding it using the search engine. Be aware though, this is a controversial method. Experts like Daniel recommend only pushing through a maximum of 20% of your sales this way. Hack #4 to launch your first Amazon FBA private label product & make initial sales: Use paid advertising You can place paid ads in the Amazon search engine for your item, targeting specific keywords. When someone buys a product through clicking on it, not only will this increase your sales velocity - but it’ll help your product rank organically for that keyword as well. Hack #5 to launch your first Amazon FBA private label product & make initial sales: Increase the conversions on your listing & get reviews It’s not enough to get the initial sales & conversions from drastically lowering your price: You need to have a high-converting listing so that when you reach the top of the search results you’ll keep making more sales than your competitor, otherwise the Amazon algorithm will drop you in the results. Here are some tips for increasing your conversions on your listing: * Have the maximum number of HD photos that are big enough the customer can zoom in on them. * Have a keyword rich product title. * Have multiple bullet points with excellent copy. * Have a descriptive product description that has photos included in it. Be sure to email and follow up with your customers, asking them to leave an honest review. If you do this, you can increase the rate of people leaving a review to as high as 10-15% (compared to less than 5%). Hack #6 to launch your first Amazon FBA private label product & make initial sales: Use Amazon Marketing Services Amazon Market Services (AMS) is an advertising platform that you need to be specially approved for. When you are approved it lets you advertise on lots of pages on Amazon, such as your competitor’s pages. Because it requires pre-approval, most of your competition won’t be using it. So you can use this to place ads in larger amounts than 99% of your competitors and outsell them.

B2B Marketing Strategy: How To Get More Leads For B2B Businesses

15:53
We all know the importance of B2B lead generation when it comes to helping your sales team reach their sales quota. It’s a simple situation that many B2B marketers and sales professional have had heated debates and fights over: No leads. No sales. No sales. No business. And if the leads aren’t great… That's on the marketer. But here's the thing: It doesn’t have to be this way! In this video, I break down 9 different tactics that B2B marketers can embrace to increase the volume of leads while ensuring that they're high quality leads. In this video, I’m going to show you how to attract quality leads, build trust with them online and ensure that your B2B brand (whether service or product) can have a solid pipeline that you’ll never lose sleep over because you’re wondering if sales is going to try and fight you during the next company meeting. These are some of the best ways B2B brands can generate leads and a sure-fire way to ensure that at the end of the quarter both marketing and sales teams are poppin’ a bottle of Dom Perignon together. One of the first things any great B2B marketer does before implementing a B2B marketing plan is identify their target audience and learn everything they can about them. Identifying a B2B target audience is a bit more difficult than it is in B2C situations because there's so many people that influence the decision in B2B. You see, when it comes to B2C, the purchase decision making process is typically much faster and comes down to one person making the call. Because of this, you can understand the individual pain points that this person has and focus solely on those. For most B2B purchases, we’re not talking about a $20 t-shirt or $6 phone case (unless it’s a bulk purchase). Most of the transactions that happen in B2B have a bigger average cart size and could be considered major purchases. In many cases, these purchases require a buy-in from multiple levels within an organization. It’s not just the senior marketer that approves your project, it’s procurement, the VP of digital and the CTO who all have an influence on that transaction. So figuring out EXACTLY who your audience is KEY! You see, instead of just targeting Aaliyah, the CEO of that Fintech company you’d love to work with, you’re also going to be targeting the CMO Erin, CFO James, CTO Alicia and the Sr. Marketer Josh that you used to work with at your old company. And the way you reach James might be different from the way you reach Erin or Josh. That’s why it’s so important to keep track of the various touchpoints, how they’re happening, and use that data to better understand what type of content they want, how they want to receive it, and whether or not they’re warmed up enough to go in for your pitch. That’s the role of internal data. And it’s internal data that will help you better understand exactly who you should be talking to in the first place. As a starting point, you should look at who your best customers are: Which customers see the most value in your product or service? Which customers have you given the most value to? What content does your audience consume online? Which customers does your team love serving? Which customers give you the most love? All of these answers should assist in helping you figure out EXACTLY how to use the different strategies and tactics I break down in this video. ========= Full Blog Post here: https://rosssimmonds.com/b2b-leads/ ========= Connect with me on these various channels: Twitter ➜ https://twitter.com/thecoolestcool Instagram ➜ https://www.instagram.com/thecoolestcool ===== Great Slack Channels: https://slacklist.info Great Medium Publications: https://toppub.xyz
