How to make shapes with CSS

18:35
It's pretty easy to makes shapes with only a small amount of HTML and some CSS. We have super simple options like border-radius, we've got slightly more complicated things we can do with pseudo elements, and if you need some really unique shapes, we can use clip-path. Border radius is nice for making some very simple shapes, and it's very easy to do. I don't explore it too much in this video, but it's a nice option that has awesome browser support. Pseudo elements also have awesome browser support, and they allow us to make some rather complicated shapes with only CSS if you're up to the task! In this video, I make a chevron type thing with them. For the really complicated shapes, clip-path is the answer. You can create literally any shape you want, the only thing to watch out for is browser support. It's not terrible, but there are some places where it won't work, so make sure whatever you're using it for isn't an essential design element, but something which can fail gracefully. How to Style and Customize HTML5 Select Box Created by Select Element using CSS https://youtu.be/lRFsCYDk4Vw WHAT WILL YOU LEARN? Learn to style an HTML select box using CSS and replace the default arrow for the dropdown applied by the browser with your own custom arrow. You will learn to create cross-browser custom css3 select box dropdown using the HTML5 select tag. It means the select box arrows will be supported in all the major browsers including ie10 or above. Here you also will learn three different methods to create a custom select box dropdown without using any external javascript library or bootstrap. We will simply use few css3 advance properties to get the effect of the custom arrow in your select dropdown box or what you call HTML combo box. I will show you how easily you can hide the default arrow from selectbox and apply your own custom arrow. ===============DOWNLOAD SOURCE CODEs============== *Code to Follow Along: https://goo.gl/MTXSFT *Click on the Fork Button on Codepen After Opening the Link to Start following Finished Final Code: https://goo.gl/ERqNWJ ===================================================== =================Navigate to Specific part============= 1:30 - Applying common styles to all select elements 3:58 - #1 Background Image Technique to Style HTML5 Select Box 7:15 - #2 Using CSS3 Border to Create Downword Arrow 13:27 - #3 Using FontAwesome Glyphicon for the Arrow in our Selectbox Dropdown list ==================================================== HOW WE WILL CREATE OUR CUSTOM SELECTBOX USING CCS3? To create a select box we simply use the html5 document to create our markup for the select box. We will create three different select boxes using the "select" element and the "option" element for creating dropdown lists. To hide the default styling from the select element applied by the browser we will use the css3 appearance property and set its value to none. And then, we will use an another useful rule to hide the default arrows applied by Internet explorer 10; from the select box dropdown. THREE DIFFERENT METHODS THAT WE WILL BE USING Each select box will be using a different method for styling the dropdown arrow inside the combobox. - The first Method will show using an Image Background technique to create custom arrow for the CSS select box. - The second method will use the CSS border property to create a triangular shape that will be used to customize your select element's dropdown arrow. - Finally, the third method will use the fontawesome glyphicon to create our custom arrow for the selectbox dropdown. All, the method will have the cross-browser support for our custom css3 select box. Each method ensures that it works properly in the Internet explorer 10 or above and other older browser. How to set multiple attribute values using jQuery attr() method 5. How to remove an attribute using jQuery removeAttr() method What are jQuery DOM manipulation methods jQuery DOM manipulation methods manipulate the DOM in some manner. The complete list of jQuery DOM manipulation methods can be found at the following link. http://api.jquery.com/category/manipulation/ jQuery attr method is used to set or retrieve attribute values of html elements. Retrieves the title attribute value of the first matching element $('div').attr('title') Example : In this example we have 2 DIV elements. Since attr() function retrieves only the attribute value of first matching element, we only get the title attribute value of the first DIV element. <html> <head> <title></title> <script src="jquery-1.11.2.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function () { alert($('div').attr('title')); }); </script> </head> <body style="font-family:Arial"> <div id="div1" title="My DIV1"> DIV 1 </div> <div id="div2" title="My DIV2"> DIV 2 </div> </body> </html> To retrieve the title attribute value of all the matching elements, jQuery each() method can be used. <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function () { $('div').each(function () { alert($(this).attr('title')); }); }); </script> Sets the title attribute value of all the matching elements to "new div title" $('div').attr('title', 'new div title'); Example : If you want to set the same value for the title attribute of all the elements, then there is no need to loop thru each element. All the div elements in this case will have 'new div title' as the title attribute value. <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function () { // set the same title attribute value for all the DIV elements $('div').attr('title', 'new div title'); // Retrieve and alert the title attribute value of all DIV elements $('div').each(function () { alert($(this).attr('title')); }); }); </script> If you want to set a different value for the title attribute, then you may need to loop thru each element. <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function () { // sets a different title attribute value for each DIV element $('div').each(function (i) { $(this).attr('title', 'div ' + (i + 1) + ' title'); }); // Retrieve and alert the title attribute value of all DIV elements $('div').each(function () { alert($(this).attr('title')); }); }); </script> How to set multiple attribute values : Using a JSON object to set multiple attribute values <html> <head> <title></title> <script src="jquery-1.11.2.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function () { var config = { 'title': 'New Div Title', 'style': 'border:3px solid red;', 'name': 'My Div' }; $('div').attr(config); var result = ''; $('div').each(function () { result += 'title = ' + $(this).attr('title') + '<br/>'; result += 'style = ' + $(this).attr('style') + '<br/>'; result += 'name = ' + $(this).attr('name') + '<br/><br/>'; }); $('#resultSpan').html(result); }); </script> </head> <body style="font-family:Arial"> <div id="div1" title="My DIV1"> DIV 1 </div> <br /> <div id="div2" title="My DIV2"> DIV 2 </div> <br /> <span id="resultSpan"> </span> </body> </html> Instead of creating a separate JSON object (config) and then passing it to attr() method, you can create the JSON object inline. $('div').attr({ 'title': 'New Div Title', 'style': 'border:3px solid red;', 'name': 'My Div' });

jquery floating div

Link for all dot net and sql server video tutorial playlists https://www.youtube.com/user/kudvenkat/playlists?sort=dd&view=1 Link for slides, code samples and text version of the video http://csharp-video-tutorials.blogspot.com/2015/05/jquery-floating-div.html In this video we will discuss, how to create floating div using jQuery. We want the div element in the sidebar to be floating and always visible as we scroll down the page. Example : In this example we are using position() and scrollTop() functions. The object returned by position() function has top and left properties, which can be used to know the current top and left positions (coordinates). We are using this function to find the top position of the div element that we want to keep floating as we scroll down. To get the current vertical position of the scroll bar, we are using scrollTop() function. As we scroll and when the current vertical position of the scroll bar becomes GREATER THAN the top position of the div element, then we want the div element to start floating. To do this set position style to fixed. A fixed position element is positioned relative to the browser window. So as you scroll down it will be floating in the browser window. If the current vertical position of the scroll bar becomes LESS THAN the top position of the div element, then we don't want the div element to float, so we set position style to relative. A relative position element is positioned relative to itself. So if you set position to relative and top to 0, it will continue to stay where it is without floating. <html> <head> <script src="jquery-1.11.2.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function () { var floatingDiv = $("#divfloating"); var floatingDivPosition = floatingDiv.position(); $(window).scroll(function () { var scrollPosition = $(window).scrollTop(); if (scrollPosition >= floatingDivPosition.top) { floatingDiv.css({ 'position': 'fixed', 'top' : 3 }); } else { floatingDiv.css({ 'position': 'relative', 'top' : 0 }); } }); }); </script> </head> <body style="font-family:Arial;"> <table align="center" border="1" style="border-collapse:collapse"> <tr> <td style="width:500px"> Main Page Content </td> <td style="width:150px; vertical-align:top"> Side panel content <br /><br /> <div id="divfloating" style="background-color:silver; width:150px; height:150px"> Floating Div - Keeps floating as you scroll down the page </div> </td> </tr> </table> </body> </html>

Event bubbling in JavaScript

15:01
Link for all dot net and sql server video tutorial playlists http://www.youtube.com/user/kudvenkat/playlists Link for slides, code samples and text version of the video http://csharp-video-tutorials.blogspot.com/2015/01/event-bubbling-in-javascript.html What is event bubbling Let us understand this with an example. HTML elements can be nested inside each other. For example a button element can be nested inside a span element and the span element inturn can be nested inside a div element. Notice that we have onclick attribute specified for all the 3 elements. [html] [head] [style type="text/css"] .styleClass { display: table-cell; border: 1px solid black; padding: 20px; text-align: center; } [/style] [/head] [body] [div class="styleClass" onclick="alert('Div click handler')"]DIV element [span class="styleClass" onclick="alert('Span click handler')"]Span element [input type="button" value="Click me" onclick="alert('Button click handler')" /] [/span] [/div] [/body] [/html] A click on the button, causes a click event to be fired on the button. The button click event handler method handles the event. The click event then bubbles up to the button element parent (span element), which is handled by the span element event handler method. The click event then bubbles up to the span element parent (div element). This is called event bubbling. Notice that if you click on the [span] element, it's event handler and it's parent([div]) element event handler are called. If you click on the [div] element, just the [div] element event handler method is called. So, the event bubbling process starts with the element that triggered the event and then bubbles up to the containing elements in the hierarchy. The following example is similar to the one above, except we removed the onclick attribute from button and span elements. Because of event bubbling, when you click on the button or the span element, the event gets handled by the div element handler. [html] [head] [style type="text/css"] .styleClass { display: table-cell; border: 1px solid black; padding: 20px; text-align: center; } [/style] [/head] [body] [div class="styleClass" onclick="alert('Click event handled by DIV element')"]DIV element [span class="styleClass"]Span element [input type="button" value="Click me"/] [/span] [/div] [/body] [/html] When the event gets bubbled, the keyword this references the current element to which the event is bubbled. In the example below, we are using "this" keyword to reference the current div element and change it's border color. When you click on the innermost [div] element, all the 3 [div] elements border get changed due to event bubbling. [html] [head] [style type="text/css"] .divStyle { display: table-cell; border: 5px solid black; padding: 20px; text-align: center; } [/style] [/head] [body] [div id="DIV1" class="divStyle"] DIV 1 [div id="DIV2" class="divStyle"] DIV 2 [div id="DIV3" class="divStyle"] DIV 3 [/div] [/div] [/div] [script type="text/javascript"] var divElements = document.getElementsByTagName('div'); for (var i = 0; i [ divElements.length; i++) { divElements[i].onclick = function () { this.style.borderColor = "red"; alert(this.getAttribute("id") + " backgound changed"); } } [/script] [/body] [/html] Stopping event bubbling : If you don't want the event to be bubbled up, you can stop it. With Internet Explorer 8 and earlier versions event.cancelBubble = true With Internet Explorer 9 (and later versions) & all the other browsers event.stopPropagation()

When you click on the image thumnail, the respective image should be displayed in the main section of the page. For the purpose of this demo we will be using the images that can be found on any windows machine at the following path. C:\Users\Public\Pictures\Sample Pictures Step 1 : Open Visual Studio and create a new empty asp.net web application project. Name it Demo. Step 2 : Right click on the Project Name in Solution Explorer in Visual Studio and create a new folder with name = Images. Step 3 : Copy images from C:\Users\Public\Pictures\Sample Pictures to Images folder in your project. Step 4 : Right click on the Project Name in Solution Explorer in Visual Studio and add a new HTML Page. It should automatically add HTMLPage1.htm. Step 5 : Copy and paste the following HTML and JavaScript code in HTMLPage1.htm page. [html] [head] [style type="text/css"] .imgStyle { width:100px; height:100px; border:3px solid grey; } [/style] [/head] [body] [img id="mainImage" height="500px" width="540x" src="/Images/Hydrangeas.jpg" style="border:3px solid grey"/] [br /] [div id="divId" onclick="changeImageOnClick(event)"] [img class="imgStyle" src="/Images/Hydrangeas.jpg" /] [img class="imgStyle" src="/Images/Jellyfish.jpg" /] [img class="imgStyle" src="/Images/Koala.jpg" /] [img class="imgStyle" src="/Images/Penguins.jpg" /] [img class="imgStyle" src="/Images/Tulips.jpg" /] [/div] [script type="text/javascript"] var images = document.getElementById("divId").getElementsByTagName("img"); for (var i = 0; i [ images.length; i++) { images[i].onmouseover = function () { this.style.cursor = 'hand'; this.style.borderColor = 'red'; } images[i].onmouseout = function () { this.style.cursor = 'pointer'; this.style.borderColor = 'grey'; } } function changeImageOnClick(event) { event = event || window.event; var targetElement = event.target || event.srcElement; if(targetElement.tagName == "IMG") { mainImage.src = targetElement.getAttribute("src"); } } [/script] [/body] [/html] Finally run the application and test it.

JavaScript event capturing

08:36
Link for all dot net and sql server video tutorial playlists http://www.youtube.com/user/kudvenkat/playlists Link for slides, code samples and text version of the video http://csharp-video-tutorials.blogspot.com/2015/01/javascript-event-capturing.html Event capturing is the opposite of event bubbling. We discussed event bubbling in detail in Part 40 of JavaScript tutorial. With event bubbling the event bubbles up from the inner most element to the outer most element in the DOM hierarchy. With event capuring the opposite happens, the event gets captured from the outer most element to innermost element. In real world event capturing is rarely used. Let us understand this with an example. In the following example we have 3 [div] nested elements. Notice that we are using addEventListener() method to assign event handler to each [div] element. To enable event capturing we have set the third parameter (phase) of addEventListener() method to true. Now when you click on the innermost [div] (DIV3), notice that the events are fired from the outermost [div] to innermost [div] (DIV1 =] DIV 2 =] DIV 3). [html] [head] [style type="text/css"] .divStyle { display: table-cell; border: 5px solid black; padding: 20px; text-align: center; } [/style] [/head] [body] [div id="DIV1" class="divStyle"] DIV 1 [div id="DIV2" class="divStyle"] DIV 2 [div id="DIV3" class="divStyle"] DIV 3 [/div] [/div] [/div] [script type="text/javascript"] var divElements = document.getElementsByTagName('div'); for (var i = 0; i [ divElements.length; i++) { divElements[i].addEventListener("click", clickHandler, true); } function clickHandler() { alert(this.getAttribute("id") + " click event handled"); } [/script] [/body] [/html] Please note : IE8 and earlier versions does not support addEventListener() method. This implies that event capturing is not supported in IE8 and earlier versions, and hence the above code will not work in IE 8 and earlier versions. Stopping event capturing : Stopping event capturing is very similar to stopping event bubbling. With the example below, when you click on any [div] element notice that DIV 1 element handles the click event and it does not get captured down. [html] [head] [style type="text/css"] .divStyle { display: table-cell; border: 5px solid black; padding: 20px; text-align: center; } [/style] [/head] [body] [div id="DIV1" class="divStyle"] DIV 1 [div id="DIV2" class="divStyle"] DIV 2 [div id="DIV3" class="divStyle"] DIV 3 [/div] [/div] [/div] [script type="text/javascript"] var divElements = document.getElementsByTagName('div'); for (var i = 0; i [ divElements.length; i++) { divElements[i].addEventListener("click", clickHandler, true); } function clickHandler(event) { event.stopPropagation(); alert(this.getAttribute("id") + " click event handled"); } [/script] [/body] [/html] Using addEventListener() method with last argument set to true is the only way to enable event capturing. If the thid parameter (phase) is set to true event capturing is enabled and if it is set to false event bubbling is enabled. If you want both even bubbling and capturing to be enabled, then assign handlers 2 times, once with the phase parameter set to false and once with the phase parameter set to true as shown below. [html] [head] [style type="text/css"] .divStyle { display: table-cell; border: 5px solid black; padding: 20px; text-align: center; } [/style] [/head] [body] [div id="DIV1" class="divStyle"] DIV 1 [div id="DIV2" class="divStyle"] DIV 2 [div id="DIV3" class="divStyle"] DIV 3 [/div] [/div] [/div] [script type="text/javascript"] var divElements = document.getElementsByTagName('div'); for (var i = 0; i [ divElements.length; i++) { divElements[i].addEventListener("click", clickHandler, false); divElements[i].addEventListener("click", clickHandler, true); } function clickHandler() { alert(this.getAttribute("id") + " click event handled"); } [/script] [/body] [/html] With both event capturing and bubbling enabled, events are first captured from the outermost element to the innermost element and then bubbles up from the innermost to the outermost element.

CSS Multiple Border - Creating CSS3 Custom Borders | Smashtheshell | Youtube

06:45
Hey, friends, we are going to learn to create multiple borders with CSS. We will be creating multiple CSS3 borders using pseudo element selectors .i.e. ::after and ::before. So how we will create multiple borders with CSS3? To create two or more CSS borders we don't have to use any extra markup. We'll simply create a div element and by using the CSS3 pseudo selectors after and before and with the help of CSS3 content property we will add empty content to add two borders for our HTML div element. We'll also utilize CSS z-index property which prevents pseudo elements from overlapping and hence multiple borders will not overlap with each other. You'll also see how we'll create a simple double border with CSS border property 'double' value. ===============SOURCE CODE========= https://goo.gl/UQTFv9 Read the full article here and get the source code: http://smashtheshell.com/multiple-border-css/ ============Useful Tutorials============= Creating Multilevel horizontal Navigation Bar using Flexbox https://goo.gl/Erkzp6 Creating Simple Responsive Horizontal Menu using CSS3 Flex https://goo.gl/8efLMN Creating a Masonry Layout Using Pure CSS3 https://goo.gl/QFNVJa Creating a Custom Select Box Element https://goo.gl/uj46tI How to create simple css3 preloading animation https://goo.gl/GqjXCr How to add preloader to your webpage using javascript https://goo.gl/ZugNcP ================CONTACT and RESOURCES============== Website/Blog: http://smashtheshell.com Find all the source codes here: https://codepen.io/smashtheshell Follow on Twitter https://twitter.com/amit4kp Add on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/kumaramit24chd Like Page on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/smashtheshell

How to Always Keep the Footer at the Bottom of A Page | Learn HTML and CSS | HTML Tutorial. In this lesson we will learn how to keep the footer at the bottom of our page. Meaning that we don't want the footer to go above the height of our browser, when we don't have a lot of content on our pages. -- mmtuts is a YouTube channel that focuses on teaching beginner and advanced courses in various multimedia related skills. We plan to make tutorials available on programming, video production, animation, graphic design, and on software such as the Adobe Creative Cloud programs. HTML and CSS for beginners is a how to series that teaches the HTML and CSS coding language to people who are just starting out learning programming. The course teaches how HTML and CSS can be made easy and teaches "front-end development" which is the visual part of websites. Creating static websites with HTML and CSS is easy and should not be seen as otherwise, which is why we want to explain the language in a easy to understand way for beginners. If you have suggestions on new courses, or specific lessons within existing courses you would like to see, then feel welcome to submit them in the comment section or in a private message. ALL suggestions will be seen, but not all will be replied to since we get quite a few every day.

jQuery class selector

Notice div1 has 2 classes - small and big. [html] [head] [title][/title] [script src="Scripts/jquery-1.11.2.js"][/script] [script type="text/javascript"] $(document).ready(function () { $('.small').css('border', '5px solid red'); }); [/script] [/head] [body] [div class="small big"] DIV 1 [/div] [br /] [div class="small"] DIV 2 [/div] [/body] [/html] Selects all elements that has both the classes - small and big. There should be no space between the class names. [script type="text/javascript"] $(document).ready(function () { $('.small.big').css('border', '5px solid red'); }); [/script] If you have a space between the two class names then we are trying to find descendants, i.e. find elements with class big that are descendants of an element with class small. [html] [head] [title][/title] [script src="Scripts/jquery-1.11.2.js"][/script] [script type="text/javascript"] $(document).ready(function () { $('.small .big').css('border', '5px solid red'); }); [/script] [/head] [body] [div class="small big"] DIV 1 [/div] [br /] [div class="small"] DIV 2 [div class="big"] DIV 3 [/div] [/div] [/body] [/html] Another way to selects all elements that has both the classes - small and big is by using filter method. But this approach is slower because it will first create a list of objects with class "small" and then removes elements that does not have class "big" [script type="text/javascript"] $(document).ready(function () { $('.small').filter('.big').css('border', '5px solid red'); }); [/script]

How to export jQuery datatables data to excel, PDF, CSV 2. How to copy jQuery datatables data to Clipboard 3. How to see print view To be able to export data, copy to clipborad or print you should use TableTools plugin for DataTables. Grab the TableTools plugin CSS and JavaScript CDN links from the following URL https://www.datatables.net/download/index In addition to the CSS and JavaScript files you also need TableTools Flash SWF file. You can get the TableTools Flash SWF file CDN link from the following URL. You will find 2 different SWF files. The only difference between them is that one of them provides the ability to save PDF files while the other doesn't. The trade off is that the PDF capable file is significantly larger in size (56K v 2K). https://cdn.datatables.net/tabletools/ JavaScript References required on the page JQuery, DataTables, TableTools CSS References required on the page DataTables, TableTools You also need to set the sSwfPath TableTools option, if you aren't using the same directory structure as the TableTools package. jQuery image gallery

Link for all dot net and sql server video tutorial playlists https://www.youtube.com/user/kudvenkat/playlists?sort=dd&view=1 Link for slides, code samples and text version of the video http://csharp-video-tutorials.blogspot.com/2015/05/jquery-image-gallery.html In this video we will discuss how to create an image gallery with thumbnails using jQuery. We discussed how to do exactly the same thing using raw JavaScript in Part 41 of JavaScript tutorial. Step 5 : Add a reference to the download jQuery file. I am using jquery-1.11.2.js version for this demo. Step 6 : Copy and paste the following HTML and jQuery code in HTMLPage1.htm page. Replace < with LESSTHAN symbol and > with GREATERTHAN symbol <html> <head> <style type="text/css"> .imgStyle { width: 100px; height: 100px; border: 3px solid grey; } </style> <script src="jquery-1.11.2.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function () { $('#divId img').on({ mouseover: function () { $(this).css({ 'cursor': 'hand', 'border-Color': 'red' }); }, mouseout: function () { $(this).css({ 'cursor': 'default', 'border-Color': 'grey' }); }, click: function () { var imageURL = $(this).attr('src'); $('#mainImage').fadeOut(500, function () { $(this).attr('src', imageURL); }).fadeIn(500); } }); }); </script> </head> <body> <img id="mainImage" style="border:3px solid grey" src="/Images/Hydrangeas.jpg" height="500" width="540" /> <br /> <div id="divId"> <img class="imgStyle" src="/Images/Hydrangeas.jpg" /> <img class="imgStyle" src="/Images/Jellyfish.jpg" /> <img class="imgStyle" src="/Images/Koala.jpg" /> <img class="imgStyle" src="/Images/Penguins.jpg" /> <img class="imgStyle" src="/Images/Tulips.jpg" /> </div> </body> </html> In our next video, we will discuss how to make this image gallery a bit more efficient using the concept of event bubbling.

Difference between window height and document height

08:15
Link for all dot net and sql server video tutorial playlists https://www.youtube.com/user/kudvenkat/playlists?sort=dd&view=1 Link for slides, code samples and text version of the video http://csharp-video-tutorials.blogspot.com/2015/06/difference-between-window-height-and.html In this video we will discuss 1. Difference between window height and document height 2. How to detect if the user has scrolled to the bottom of the page $(window).height() - Returns height of the browser window i.e browser viewport $(document).height() - Returns height of HTML document $(window).scrollTop() - Returns the current vertical position of the scroll bar What is the difference between window height and document height The window height is what you see (i.e browser viewport), but the document height includes everything below or above the visible area. How to detect if the user has scrolled to the bottom of the page Here is the formula to detect if the user has scrolled to the bottom of the page if (verticalScrollBarPosition == $(document).height() - $(window).height()) { floatingDiv.html('Reached the bottom of the page'); } Why window height and document height are the same in Google chrome Without DOCTYPE tag Chrome reports the same value for both window height and document height. Include the following DOCTYPE declaration <!DOCTYPE html> Example used in the demo <!DOCTYPE html> <html> <head> <script src="jquery-1.11.2.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function () { var floatingDiv = $("#divfloating"); var floatingDivPosition = floatingDiv.position(); $(window).scroll(function () { var scrollPosition = $(window).scrollTop(); if (scrollPosition >= floatingDivPosition.top) { floatingDiv.css({ 'position': 'fixed', 'top': 3 }); } else { floatingDiv.css({ 'position': 'relative', 'top': 0 }); } floatingDiv.html('Window Height = ' + $(window).height() + '<br/>' + 'Document Height = ' + $(document).height() + '<br/>' + 'Vertical Scrollbar Position = ' + scrollPosition ); if (scrollPosition == $(document).height() - $(window).height()) { floatingDiv.html('Reached the bottom of the page'); } }); }); </script> </head> <body style="font-family:Arial;"> <table align="center" border="1" style="border-collapse:collapse"> <tr> <td style="width:500px"> <div> Main Page Content </div> </td> <td style="width:150px; vertical-align:top"> Side panel content <br /><br /> <div id="divfloating" style="background-color:silver; width:150px; height:150px"> Floating Div - Keeps floating as you scroll down the page </div> </td> </tr> </table> </body> </html> In our next video we will discuss how to load data like facebook as you scroll down the page.
