L.A. Guns - Never Enough (live 4-19-2014)

04:28
Evening Star Entertainment presents L.A. Guns at the Whiskey Room in Raleigh, North Carolina on Saturday April 19, 2014. L.A. Guns got their start on Los Angeles' Sunset Strip. The band was formed in 1986 and signed with Polygram Records in 1987, recording their first album that summer. This first album, titled "L.A. Guns", went on to sell 750,000 copies and earned the band its first gold album award. Tours with AC/DC, Iron Maiden and Def Leppard followed. A compilation of the videos made from this first album also earned the band a gold video award. L.A. Guns recorded their second album, "Cocked and Loaded", in the spring of 1989. "Rip and Tear" was the first single and video. "Never Enough" and "The Ballad of Jayne" followed, pushing album sales over 1,000,000 and earning the band its first platinum record award. The band earned its second gold video award. Their third album, "Hollywood Vampires", recorded in the fall of 1990 went on to sell 700,000 copies and earned the band its third gold album award. In 1994, the band worked on their next album "Vicious Circle", released in 1995. Between 1996 and 1999, the band's members branched out by working on outside projects. In 1999, L.A. Guns recorded a greatest hits package titled "Black Beauties" that included five new songs written for the album. The band toured with Poison, Ratt, and others throughout the summer of 2000. In 2001, the band released its sixth studio album, "Man in the Moon". The reviews of the album were great and the band was determined to follow this up with an even stronger set of songs for the next release. L.A. Guns entered the studio for their seventh album in early 2002 with veteran producer Andy Johns, who had worked with the likes of Led Zeppelin and Van Halen , to record "Waking the Dead". The album was released in 2002 and garnered L.A. Guns some of the best reviews the band had ever received. It was also when Tracii Guns decided to quit the band to do "Brides Of Destruction" with Nikki Sixx. L.A. Guns acquired Stacey Blades to handle the guitar slot. As a Los Angeles music scene veteran, recording and playing lead guitar in Roxx Gang, Supercool & S.M.A.C.K., Blades fit the bill perfectly, coming from the same school of rock as L.A. Guns. In 2004 the band recorded "Rips the Covers Off" with producer Andy Johns, a collection of 70's rock songs. In 2005, L.A. Guns recorded "Tales from the Strip" with Andy Johns again. In 2006, L.A. Guns recorded a live CD titled "Loud and Dangerous". Long time bassist Adam Hamilton decided in 2007 to do song writing and producing full time. The guys acquired Hollywood Veteran Scotty Griffin, but in Mid 2009 Griffin left the band to do a residency in Las Vegas. Kenny Kweens from Beautiful Creatures came aboard as the new bass guitarist. 2011 sparked the triumphant return of Scotty Griffin on bass. The band signed their latest record deal with Cleopatra Records, releasing their tenth studio album "Hollywood Forever" in June 2012. The album was produced by Andy Johns again. The record debuted at number 25 on the Billboard Rock charts and it was considered one of the best Hard Rock albums of 2012 by fans and critics alike. Guns recorded a greatest hits package titled "Black Beauties" that included five new songs written for the album. The band toured with Poison, Ratt, and others throughout the summer of 2000. Guns entered the studio for their seventh album in early 2002 with veteran producer Andy Johns, who had worked with the likes of Led Zeppelin and Van Halen , to record "Waking the Dead". In 2004 the band recorded "Rips the Covers Off" with producer Andy Johns, a collection of 70's rock songs. In 2005, L.A. Guns recorded "Tales from the Strip" with Andy Johns again. In 2006, L.A. With the title track "Hollywood Forever", proving once again that L.A. Guns are on top of their game along with the tracks "You Better Not Love Me" and "Sweet Mystery". In December 2012, guitarist Stacey Blades announced his departure after serving the band for almost ten years, to follow a different musical direction. In January 2013, guitarist Michael Grant, front man of his own band, EndeverafteR, replaced Blades as the new lead guitarist. His dynamic performance compliments L.A. Guns' raw rock n' roll energy. With more than 25 years' worth of noteworthy material, the band has proven to be true warriors of the 80's genre and are geared to tear it up across the world, giving audiences the high octane Rock-n-Roll that is L.A. Lyrics: I’m hiding from mirrors I’m frightened of sex Despising my image I’m enlightened and slightly obsessed In the dark everything it looks better, whoa Hollywood forever, Hollywood forever In the dark everything it feels better, whoa Hollywood forever, Hollywood forever I’m scared I’m a loser Aware of my face My father was a user And I’m afraid I’m just the same I used to be so confident So sober and awake, I never thought to act Devoted and ashamed, wanted to call my ex To hear him say my name over the phone to me In the dark everything it looks better, whoa Hollywood forever, Hollywood forever In the dark everything it feels better, whoa Hollywood forever, Hollywood forever In a house on a cliff on the coast Well I prayed to my god with a toast Said a cheers to the reasons I’ve been at it all evening All I wanted was to never get old On a bed in a room with a key I was reading a rag magazine Said a cheers to the demons who’ve been with me all evening All I wanted was to never be seen In the dark everything it looks better, whoa Hollywood forever, Hollywood forever In the dark I’m alive, I’m a legend, whoa Hollywood forever, Hollywood forever In the dark everything it looks better, whoa Hollywood forever, Hollywood forever Support The Artist ➥https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/feel-something/id122745https://itunes.apple.com/it/album/every-where-is-some-where/id1211162072?app=itunes&ign-mpt=uo%3D4 Like and Follow On Facebook➥https://www.facebook.com/DiscoveringMusicDM/
