Ukrferry from Odessa, Ukraine to Batumi, Georgia - Greifswald Black Sea Ferry

01:58
This video features footage from the ferry crossing from Chornomorsk, near Odessa, to Batumi, Georgia via the ferry. Ukrferry's ship, "The Greifswald" took us across the Black Sea and the trip was incredibly enjoyable. On this voyage there were a few families, but mostly truck drivers and business people who were making the crossing. We were the only Americans on board, but were welcomed and met a lot of nice people. The food was much better than expected. They gave us vegetarian food when requested, and it was more than enough food to keep us full. The ship departed on time and arrived only an hour later than scheduled. Coming into Batumi was a great sight, as were the sunsets on deck. We passed by Crimea and could see the cliffs in the distance. If you are interested in taking this voyage, it's well worth the cost. The room was nice and larger than expected. The ship was clean. The staff was friendly. I can't say enough about how much I enjoyed this voyage. It was a "once in a lifetime" thing that many people from North America don't get to experience.

TURKEY: BLACK SEA FERRY HIJACK: SITUATION UPDATE

02:39
Natural Sound The Turkish government says it won't allow the hijackers holding 200 hostages on board a ferry to sail into the Bosporus strait to reach Istanbul. The statement by the Turkish interior minister contradicts earlier reports that officials had offered the hijackers a news conference in return for the release of all the hostages. The hijackers have threatened to blow up the ferry unless the Russians stop fighting the Chechens. The Turkish ferry the Avrasya-Eurasia on its way to the Bosporus strait and the port of Istanbul. The ship is laden with explosives and could reach the city early Friday if it maintains its current speed through the rough waters of the Black Sea. The ferry was seized by Chechen rebels on Tuesday night in the Turkish port of Trabzon. On board are some 200 hostages, whom the rebels have threatened to kill if the Russian government does not cease its war in Chechnya. The Turkish government however says it won't allow the ferry access into the narrow Bosporus strait. Turkish authorities says they have no intention of allowing the hijackers to score a publicity coup by sailing through the crowded straits. They claim it's against maritime rules to permit ships loaded with explosives to sail into the busy Bosporus, where about 150 ships pass each day. On board the rebels shouted "God is great" and "Long Live Independent Caucasus." There was no sign of the hostages however - they are apparently confined to the ship's restaurant. The Turkish government has not said what action it will take, but there's no indication they are offering any concessions to the hijackers. There are 144 passengers and 55 crew on board the ferry of whom about 30 are Turkish and about 100 Russian. TURKEY: BLACK SEA FERRY HIJACK: SITUATION UPDATE (2)

02:41
English/Nat Some joy tonight (Wednesday) for relatives of one of the hostages on board the hijacked Turkish ferry. The wife and son of Ali Atik, the ship's engineer, were able to speak to their loved one, with a little help from a Turkish television station. Also there, the Chechen Foreign Minister who refused to condemn the seizure of the ferry as a terrorist act. The wife and son of engineer Ali Atik waited anxiously to speak with him in the studio of Turkish television station T-G-R-T. As the connection with the hostage ferry was made, Seniz Atik and Altan Atik listened in. The expectation and the emotion of the event etched in their faces. Afterwards, Altan Atik had this to say. SOUNDBITE: English I think war should not be between civilians, it's between soldiers. So they shouldn't treat the people bad like this. It's not my father's fault and it's not the fault of the people on the ship. Q.Do you want to say something to the kidnappers? I don't think this will help anything. Everyone says something, but I can say that I want my father, that's all. SUPER CAPTION: Altan Atik, son SOUNDBITE: My husband is fond of our house. He is very well now. I am very happy. SUPER CAPTION: Seniz Atik, Wife of engineer. SOUNDBITE: These people are not terrorists. They lost their homes, their fathers, their grandfathers, for hundreds of years. The Russians took them to Turkey, to Germany, to Jordan, to the whole world. They are looking for their freedom they are looking to live in the country, their cities, their fatherland, free. They have a right. But, I am not with them if they do any act against the civilians, because we must not do anything against the civilians. But I believe and I give you the word that none has hit any of the hostages. SUPER CAPTION: Semsettin Yusus, Chechen Foreign Minister Outside the Russian consulate in Istanbul, the Turkish police were taking no chances. Earlier in the day scores of demonstrators marched on the consulate demanding Russian troops pull out of Chechnya and the bombardment on the village of Pervomayskaya be halted. Bosphorus ferry trip - Golden Horn to Black Sea during Gezi park protests

02:35:19
Bosphorus ferry trip - Golden Horn to Black Sea during Gezi park protests I happened to be in Istanbul on a photography trip during the Gezi park protests of 2013. Which is relevant because if you watch carefully you'll see some of the ferry terminals the boat pulls into come complete with riot police and water cannon. But otherwise this is a 'slow video' of the trip that goes from the ferry terminal on the Golden Horn to the one at Anadolu Kavagi just short of the mouth of the Black Sea. And back.

2018, Travel to Odessa, on ferry through Black sea, Georgia.

01:49:52

December days are often very dark and cold. Also this day was not really a day for a cruise. But business as usual. Every day a lot of ferries cross the Baltic Sea. This small video clip shows the meeting of the ferries of the Rostock-Trelleborg route southeasterly of the Danish island Møn. HUCKLEBERRY FINN is northbound, TOM SAWYER and SKÅNE are southbound.

Ferry collide side on into stationary Container ship in the Mediterranean

01:52
A Ferry managed to crash side-on into a huge stationary container ship in the middle of a calm Mediterranean Sea. The Tunisian-registered Ulysse rammed 66,000-ton CSL Virginia — causing a 600-ton fuel spill. Investigators now want to know how the Ulysse’s captain failed to spot the 1,000ft-long, 150ft-high container ship in 970,000sq miles of open water. Weather conditions and visibility were good when the 530ft Ulysse struck while doing 21mph on its way from Genoa to its home port of Tunis. CSL Virginia, registered in Cyprus and carrying no cargo, was anchored 20 miles off the French island of Corsica. The ships were yesterday still embedded as maritime authorities worked out how to free them. France and Italy have launched an operation to clean-up the fuel which spilled from CSL Virginia’s ruptured tanks. French environment minister Francois de Rugy flew over the crash scene by helicopter before condemning the “abnormal behaviour” of the Ulysse — but said it was too early to say exactly what had happened. Mr De Rugy added they were “working hard and doing everything so that this accident does not have ecological consequences”. No one was injured in the smash. French officials have launched an investigation into criminal pollution. TEC DIVE in Baltic Sea on ferry ESTONIA tribute to 852 souls

05:11
MS Estonia, previously Viking Sally (1980–1990), Silja Star (1990–1991), and Wasa King (1991–1993), was a cruise ferry built in 1979/80 at the German shipyard Meyer Werft in Papenburg. The ship sank in 1994 in the Baltic Sea in one of the worst maritime disasters of the 20th century. It is the second-deadliest European shipwreck disaster to have occurred in peacetime and the deadliest peacetime shipwreck to have occurred in European waters, with 852 lives lost. The Estonia disaster occurred on Wednesday, 28 September 1994, between about 00:55 and 01:50 (UTC+2) as the ship was crossing the Baltic Sea, en route from Tallinn, Estonia, to Stockholm, Sweden. Estonia was on a scheduled crossing with departure at 19:00 on 27 September. She had been expected in Stockholm the next morning at about 09:30. She was carrying 989 people: 803 passengers and 186 crew. Most of the passengers were Scandinavian, while most of the crew members were Estonian (several Swedish passengers were of Estonian origin). The ship was fully loaded, and was listing slightly to starboard because of poor cargo distribution. At about 01:20 a weak female voice called "Häire, häire, laeval on häire", Estonian for "Alarm, alarm, there is alarm on the ship", over the public address system, which was followed immediately by an internal alarm for the crew, then one minute later by the general lifeboat alarm. The vessel's rapid list and the flooding prevented many people in the cabins from ascending to the boat deck. A Mayday was communicated by the ship's crew at 01:22, but did not follow international formats. Estonia directed a call to Silja Europa and only after making contact with her did the radio operator utter the word "Mayday". In English, the radio operator on Silja Europa, chief mate Teijo Seppelin replied: "Estonia, are you calling mayday?" After that, the voice of third mate Andres Tammes took over on Estonia and the conversation shifted to Finnish. Tammes was able to provide some details about their situation but due to loss of power, he could not give their position, which delayed rescue operations somewhat. Some minutes later power returned (or, somebody on the bridge managed to lower himself to the starboard side of the bridge to check the marine GPS, which will display the ship's position even in blackout conditions), and the Estonia was able to radio their position to Silja Europa and Mariella. The ship disappeared from the radar screens of other ships at around 01:50, and sank at 59°23′N 21°42′E in international waters, about 22 nautical miles (41 km; 25 mi) on bearing 157° from Utö island, Finland, to the depth of 74 to 85 metres (243 to 279 ft) of water. According to survivor accounts the ship sank stern first after taking a list of 90 degrees.

TI: 11:23:00 The pro-Chechen hijackers of a Black Sea ferry carrying more than 200 people on board surrendered on Friday (19/1). The ferry, which was believed to be packed with explosives, anchored close to the small island of Sogan on the eastern shore of the Bosphorous. The hijackers seized the ferry on Tuesday in the eastern Turkish port of Trabzon and threatened to blow it up unless Russia halted an attack on Chechen fighters in a village in Dagestan and allow them to return to Chechnya. About 3,000 people gathered at the entrance to the Bosphorus Strait to cheer the Chechen gunmen. SHOWS: ISTANBUL, TURKEY 19/1 (Demonstration mute) Demonstrators in Istanbul supporting hijackers. What Happened to the Giant Hovercraft SR-N4? - The Concorde of the Seas

09:16
They were once known as the 'Concorde of the Seas': mighty flying boats that ferried their passengers with speed and style. Hovercraft was a symbol of national innovation and represented the future of transport in the 20th Century. And yet, like the Concorde, the huge iconic 'Mountbatten-class' hovercraft that once traversed the 22-mile English Channel from England to France carrying hundreds or passengers and cars are no longer with us. So what happened to the giant hovercraft SN-R4? Take a Ferry from Eminonu, Istanbul to Kadikoy on The Asian Side

06:44
http://www.TravelsWithSheila.com Ferries constantly whizz back and forth in all directions along the Bosphorus Strait, Sea of Marmara, and even as far as the Black Sea. Do jump on one, any one, to see something new and different. A common theme through most of this series of videos recorded in Turkey will involve food, one of my reasons for living, but even if you are not a "foodie" - food is a big part of Turkish culture and will surround you. Mine ("Mina"), owner of Hotellino, suggested a trip over to Kadikoy on the Asian side to walk through the gorgeous fish market, see old Ottoman style houses, and perhaps have lunch in one of the many restaurants (although after Hotellino's gigantic breakfast, I don't know how she expected us to stuff more food down gullets). A fun day in different part of Istanbul for us.

TURKEY: FERRY HOSTAGE SITUATION UPDATE

02:05
Natural Sound The hijacker of a Black Sea ferry has halted the vessel near the mouth of the Bosporus straits on Friday. However, he did not say whether he planned to surrender or resist Turkish security forces. The Turkish military had ordered the ferry hijacked by pro-Chechen gunmen to drop anchor outside what is one of the world's busiest commercial shipping lanes. The ship is carrying 200 hostages which have been held since Thursday in opposition to Russian forces' attacks on Chechen rebels in southern Russia. After a 900 kilometre (550 mile) journey across the Black Sea, the hijacked ferry stopped at the mouth of the Bosporus strait - the crowded shipping lane. Pro-Chechen rebels have been holding 200 hostages on the Avrasya-Eurasia ferry since seizing it on Thursday in the northeastern port city of Trabzon. They have apparently rigged the vessel with explosives and demanded Russian forces stop attacking Chechen rebels in southern Russia. The gunmen's leader, Muhammed Tokcan, told Turkish authorities he would comply with their demand to halt the ship just outside the busy straits. A Turkish military boat escorted the ferry as it approached the Bosporus strait. Not all of the people visible on the ship are the rebels - these are believed to be some of the 200 hostages aboard. But whilst the gunmen's leader agreed to stop his the ferry, he did not say what he would do then. And when asked if he would carry out his earlier threat to blow up the ship, Tokcan refused to comment. He has previously said the hijackers have no quarrel with Turkey and their action is aimed at Russia and its war against Chechen separatists in southern Russia. We boarded 70,000 Tons Of Metal, a heavy-metal cruise ship sailing from Miami to the Turks and Cacos Islands, and drifted into the middle of the deep, black sea. We met metalheads of all persuasions, got seasick, and even banged our heads a little. Come witness the strangest luxury cruise of all time.

Bulgaria Fast Ferry belongs to Bulgarian Hydrofoil Ltd. which was established in 2011 with the aim of proving fast, comfortable and attractive ferries to the Bulgarian coastline. Bulgaria Fast Ferry operates alongside the Bulgarian Black Sea Coast. Bulgaria Fast Ferry ships have an average speed of approximately 60km/h, classifying them as high speed boats. The hydrofoil technology allows them to "float over the water" making for an exciting experience on board. The capacity of each ship 126 passenger seats, made up of three saloons, all with air conditioning. On board there is a vending machine serving both alcoholic and soft drinks. The Bulgaria Fast Ferry fleet is made up of hydrofoil speed ferries, so while facilities are sparse the journeys are short and the experience alone will keep you entertained.

Please support me, PayPal a/c : [email protected] or https://streamlabs.com/hongkongmap where your name and amount will appear on the Live Streaming. ----------------------------- My name is Dennis. In 2009, I opened this channel to record or document this city. I know something is being changed in next decade(s), or I felt the change have began since 2003, no later in 2046. I want to, at least, save some kind of city life in video form instead of taken photo or written in words. I strongly believe that motion picture and sound recording are much better way to preserve and present in the future when young generation want to get know of Hong Kong. In May of 2018, I wrote the following statement in below: "Hi everyone, thank you for supporting me in fulfilling my " childhood dream" of making videos. My parents had always taken a tolerant attitude toward my “capricious”: whether my work is feasible and sustainable... and they never complained about it. As my father just passed away in May, I am left with no choice but to give up my video making venture. In Hong Kong where the cost of living is sky high, youtube video making is simply not sustainable by google adsense alone. The revenue produced is way too insufficient for affording a domestic helper, and I must look after my mom all by myself - this is why I must stay very close to her at all times. Unless my revenue is closed to market rate, or my income can cover a domestic helper, otherwise I can hardly justify any video-related works. Therefore, from now on everything video will be postponed in terms of year(s). Thank you, and hope to see you all again in the future." Because I am the only son of my mother in Hong Kong, and I have to take care of her at home. I almost give up this channel because of high consumption of time and living cost. But I found some extra time. I live in Fanling, north part of New Territory, so it will include my showtime of traveling back and forth. Because of home care to my old mother, there will be no time other than 9:00 to 16:00 because my mother is staying at the senior daycare center, so before and after that, I will NOT able to do filming. I understand most of you are looking for high quality of video, e.g. 4K or 8K. But hardware is so important at this post-production, that is, the higher quality video, the higher powerful computer to render video. Financial is my biggest issue, I can't afford to buy an expensive hardware right now. Even previous old 2K recorded video, it wasn't easy at all, one hour video = 1.5 hours of rendering time, plus uploading time. How about 1 hour 4K ? = 15 hour up......under this old computer. (please check www.youtube.com/user/hongkongmap/about ) I will continue to run this channel as long as the time is fit-on-me or I don't see any kind of video job could fit me. I hope this is clear to everyone. ------------------------------------------------------ HongKongMap: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1WYNIMCZR-hA81nPH8_EpUMcOkNs&usp=sharing

⚓ MV Chinook ⚓......Black Ball Ferries 1949

MV Chinook Black Ball Ferries 1949 AKA SECHELT QUEEN Filmed in Victoria Harbor Vancouver Island Canada Vintage Films From British Columbia Canada LINK BELOW https://sites.google.com/site/timelapseproductionshd/home/sample-clips/canada/british-columbia More Videos from 1949 Vancouver Click Link Below http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLZsSCILFgxIKpt5KMx95viao-6kcIs54L On 1 May, 1955 the Chinook entered the Esquimalt Graving Dock for what PSN was saying was an annual refit. However, the work included many structural modifications including the removal of state rooms on the Cabin Deck and most telling, the removal of the Chinook's bow to allow bow loading. Rumors began to spread that the ferry would not be returning to the Port Angeles-Victoria run. On May 24th, 1955, the company removed all doubt when it announced the transfer of the vessel to Canadian registry and the vessel would be moved to the Horseshoe Bay-Nanaimo run opposite the Kahloke. For the next five years the ferry sailed alongside the Kahloke, but the end of the decade was marred by labor strife. When the Canadian government approached Captain Peabody with a buy out proposal, Peabody was agreeable to the sale. Having single-handedly brought modern ferry operations to Canada, Peabody was ready to retire. Black Ball Line became a memory in 1961 when Peabody handed over the entire operation, vessels, terminals, to the newly formed British Columbia Ferries Corporation. B.C. Ferries 1961-1976 The first change made to the Chinook was to be painted in the pastel blue and white of the new ferry corporation. She stayed on the same route, however, until May 1963 when she was transferred to the Swartz Bay-Tsawwassen run. September of that year saw her back on the Horseshoe Bay-Nanaimo route, but only for a short time before joining the Kahloke on the Horseshoe Bay-Langdale run. 1963 also saw her official renaming to Sechelt Queen. The purchase of the Sunshine Coast Queen allowed the Sechelt Queen to be removed from service for an extensive overhaul. Late 1968 say her remaining staterooms on the boat and promenade decks to be torn out and coverted into passenger lounges. The ferry was also carpeted at this time, and her funnel was removed and replaced with a larger and somewhat more unattractive one. When the work was completed, she was assigned the Tsawwassen-Gulf Islands route, but still acted as a relief vessel on many of the other routes. By 1976 her time with B.C. Ferries was through, but she proved to be useful elsewhere within the province. Intro to iso fishing (rock fishing), by ferry, in Japan with GoPro 磯釣り瀬渡し

07:29
Although I'm still learning this fishing style, I've decided to do an introduction to basic iso (off rock) fishing in Cape Sata, Japan. While it's not quite season yet for big black fish, we did catch a few dozen. You can also get a glimpse of the popular ferry service that will drop you off to the rocky islands to fish. 磯釣り瀬渡し グレ 釣り 眼仁奈 佐多岬 マキエ シマノ ダイワ GoPro

TEC DIVE in Baltic Sea on ferry ESTONIA

03:58
The day after the Baltic ferry Estonia sank on September 28, 1994, Swedish newspapers reported that a "monster wave" was the likely cause of the ferry's sinking. Since then, the official explanations for Europe's worst maritime disaster since World War II have only gotten "curiouser and curiouser." MS Estonia, previously Viking Sally (1980–1990), Silja Star (1990–1991), and Wasa King (1991–1993), was a cruise ferry built in 1979/80 at the German shipyard Meyer Werft in Papenburg. According to survivor accounts the ship sank stern first after taking a list of 90 degrees. https://www.facts-are-facts.com/article/ill-fated-estonia-ferry-used-for-weapons-transfers

Life on a Caspian Sea cargo ferry (2007)

04:31
In late August 2007, in order to be true to the Silk Road overland plan, I caught a cargo ferry across the Capsian Sea. The journey across the ancient Caucasus glacial melt took about 24 hours from embarkment at Baku in Azerbajian to disembarkment at Turkmenistan's port of Turkmenbashi. The ride cost about US$55. On the way, i met some of the crew and the 3rd engineer agreed to show me a slice of life on the boat. The crew live on this boat for 9 months every year, with little time on land to see family and friends. The Capsian Sea vista is dotted with off shore oil rigs, and other ferries/cargo ships on their way to other ports in Russia, Iran and Kazakstan. In rough weather (thankfully not this time), the salty sea can swell to 10 metres and can be quite a dangerous bronco ride for the sea tanks. My travelling companion (who makes a short but memorable appearance) is Rishi Watson, a brave Irish lad on his way overland to Kathmandu. Traveller's teacup www.teacup.net.au
