I get a lot of questions on brand and branding because we are a video production company that focuses on branding. The best way I've founded to answer to my clients is to divide it into two different ideas: there is the brand and then there's branding. The brand, for the purposes of this example, is your logos, your typography, all of the things that are aesthetic to your brand. Then there's the branding, and the branding is more of the customer experience, so of how people feel. That is the human connection and the human factor where if my values match with your values, I had a really good experience. Taking those two aspects and putting them together is what we do when we create branding video packages and branding experiences, is taking your aesthetics and everything that is your identity and graphics and merging it with the soul and the heart of your business. That's why branding videos are super important for every business. For more information on how to create amazing videos for your businesses, please visit us at ForProductions.com.

The words brand and branding get thrown around a lot these days but it’s not always clear what the difference is. In fact, many creatives and entrepreneurs aren’t sure what exactly is a brand and what’s branding and why does that even matter. If you’re one of them, this video is for you.

Each one of these has a different place inside of your business. We must come to the full consciousness of what a brand is. A brand is the real you. A brand is the company in shape and form. A brand is the attribute of makeup of the business. One of the things that is crucial to understand as you can not do Branding when you do not understand what the brand is. I think that a lot of times we look at what we would like the company to be versus what the company is. You can not repaint a old car and call it a new car. Just as we can not call I was self a great business and be great if we have poor business practices. A brand is not what you call yourself a brand is what you are. And for the record let me clearly State this I am not calling you a brand. What I am saying is business and brand is synonymous it's like trying to take the wet off of water. That would be a impossible task. Just as it is impossible for you to separate the business from its brand. Brand is what resonates in the mine of the world and all the consumers. We could call our self fast and efficient business entity. But the reality is if you do not have structured operating systems that produced predictable outcomes the business and your brand messaging will not align. Now let's dive into what it is that I am hoping to express. Branding is the expression of the brand. As a company your goal is to manifest the things that you say you are. The best way to do that is to develop that infrastructure and the processes inside of your app and company to produce that outcome. Your brand strategy is the organization of all of the chaos. What chaos might you ask it is the color that types at the logos the font Styles the attributes the emotions the identity the messaging the value the beliefs the Creed's the culture and aligning it that they all may flow as one. So when you start The Branding process the expression of the brand you will be moving with a unified spirit. It is in our best interest to create a brand strategy document that will allow us to understand who we are. It will allow us to understand how we must create our product service and experience. Once this is created we must express it over and over train it over and over deliver it over and over. That is how we become a brand using consistency and predictability backed by a marketing message to amplify our expression. Click here to subscribe: https://bit.ly/2HxjQRa That old marketing vs branding debate is a tricky one, but on today's episode we're going to tackle it head on, talking about brand awareness marketing versus direct response marketing and which one is best for your business. You see, when it comes to marketing your business, there's no shortage of strategy, tactics or tools available to use. You can use social media, you can use email marketing, there's content marketing, there's video marketing, you can blog, do SEO, you can do direct mail, pay-per-click, maybe start a YouTube channel, maybe run some Facebook ads... You ever consider putting up a banner or doing some skywriting? Don't do that ;) Regardless of which tactic you decide to use, they tend to fall into one of two camps: One of which is brand awareness marketing, and the other one is direct response marketing. Now, when I first got involved in the marketing game, I fell firmly into the brand awareness marketing which is all about creating value, creating content, getting out there and staying top of mind among your target market. However, it didn't take long before the siren song of the direct response marketer started calling me in, and I was all but enthralled with creating those direct response ads that were designed to get action and get action quickly. So where did I end up? What's the difference between brand and branding? Associate Creative Director Jess Husek talks about the major difference—one is a noun, and one is a verb. Branding is the process of making a brand. Branding looks into what verbally and visually communicates your company's story. And it's all of those elements—plus what your audience brings to the mix—that form your brand. 🚧 Get your FREE copy of the Bold Brand Blueprint: www.brittanypickrem.com/bold-brand-blueprint Good morning everyone and Welcome to BrandTipTuesday #21 my name is Brittany Pickrem and I’m a brand expert and designer and I create great visual branding for businesses that are doing good things. I’ve had a lot of questions recently about the role of marketing vs visual branding so I’m going to talk about this for today’s Brand Tip Tuesday. You’re gonna wanna stick around to the end to learn how you can begin to develop a marketing strategy for your business that aligns with your visual brand. During these brand tips, I typically talk about the importance of having a consistent and professional visual brand in place for your business. However, its extremely important to know that a visual brand will not be effective without a strategy behind it and that’s where marketing comes in. I like to think about a visual brand as the the beauty and the marketing as the brains of your business. Generally, your visual brand represents who you are and what you stand for and marketing is how you build awareness about your brand. As important as it is to have a professional visual brand, you also need a consistent marketing strategy in place to create awareness of your brand by building relationships with your audience over time and positioning yourself as the go-to expert that you are. In order to have a successful brand presence your marketing and visual brand very much need to work together. So what exactly is the difference between marketing and visual branding? I have come up with a simple example that begins to explain the difference between the two. Marketing - is consistently promoting and occasionally selling your products or services. It provides brand awareness while providing education and value to your audience or potential customers. With marketing, you are you telling your audience what you want to be know for. Let’s say you own an accounting business. In your case, your marketing might have a consistent message that You know how to save your customers money during tax time. Branding on the other hand is how your customer perceives you, really its your reputation. Branding is when a potential customer might tell you: ‘I hear that you can help me save money on my taxes’ A great marketing strategy starts from being crystal clear on the basics of your brand. Knowing your brand basics, provides an effective direction for your visual brand and gives you great direction for your marketing strategy that aligns with your core brand values. If you want to get immediately clear on these brand basics check out my new, free resource that I just developed called the Bold Brand Blueprint. The Bold Brand Blueprint is a workbook is designed to help you go from confusion to clarity with your visual brand presence. To download this FREE workbook you can text ‘BRAND’ to 67076 Or you can visit www.britttanypickrem.com/bold-brand-blueprint Thanks for tuning in guys and see you next Tuesday!

Hey everyone, my name is Steven Titchener and today we are going to talk about the difference between marketing and branding. Marketing and branding get mixed up a lot in the business and personal world. A lot of people associate branding just to a logo and marketing to everything else such as sales. In a previous video we discussed what exactly a brand is - hint, it’s more than just a logo and styleguide. Branding is the why Branding is all about asking questions about your company and it’s objectives. Questions such as who you are, what you do and why you do that? It’s all about defining these values and finding out who you are as a company. From this you can start creating content around your brand story showing who you are to your customers. This then starts to build a ‘feeling’ around your company, building loyalty around your brand and not a particular product. Think Apple for example, they have built an amazing brand up so that any product they release people are going to want and buy, simply because it is Apple. Marketing is the how Marketing is all about the sale. It’s taking your products and services and packaging them up with pretty bows to wow your audience. It is about showing off how great the products are and telling people why they need them, but it is the brand that builds a strong desire for those products. That’s it for this blog, I hope you learned something and if you do fancy saying hello why not drop us an email or say hi on social media: *** Want to create a killer brand? *** Download my FREE toolkit that guides you through the brand strategy process: https://www.two-guys.co.uk/resource/brand-strategy-toolkit Email: [email protected] Facebook: www.facebook.com/twoguyscreative LinkedIn: www.linkedin.com/company/two-guys-creative Twitter: www.twitter.com/TwoGuysCreative Instagram: www.instagram.com/twoguyscreative

This is important. Many people hire you for one thing but really they need something else. You get hired to brand a business but you get fired because they really need a salesperson. UGH!! Hopefully, this will help explain the difference between branding, marketing, and sales. It's important to be consistent with all three and to be patient to get the most from your efforts. https://thepointsolutions.com/ -~-~~-~~~-~~-~- Please watch: "How to Leverage Social Media" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i0e1bav8mBc -~-~~-~~~-~~-~-

Is it worth the investment or overkill? 04:14- Do you trust that with enough good will and trust people will find your website/email when it’s time to buy? If I need my content to drive bookings, should I at least have a link for more info, when people are ready for it? Look, I'm a salesman. I'm all about the CTA (Call to action), but at the end of the day we're talking about the difference between sales and branding. Anybody can be a great salesman, but creating a great brand is something totally different. Being a Nike, being a Puma, as opposed to just selling sneakers, is totally different. Sometimes I don't go for the CTA, sometimes I don't go for the popup, or the other growth-hacking techniques. The reason for that is I believe in the Jabs. I believe in branding. I believe that there is a time and a place. I believe there's context. In a 2015 world, people watch this show, and they see that I'm not selling them anything; that I'm taking the time to do this in my favorite place in the world (the Jets' parking lot). Sure I COULD throw some call to action at them, but by asking for that, I leaving something huge on the table. That person has the ability to google me, find out more, and develop a real relationship with my brand, but by selling up front, I could very well ruin that. By trying to score on the first date, I could be passing up the chance to get married. _ Welcome to The #AskGaryVee Show, where I answer your questions about marketing, social media, and entrepreneurship. http://www.cashparish.education Branding vs Marketing : what is the difference Branding vs Marketing In today's society the terms branding and marketing are used heavily. As well as these terms are used interchangeably by most people. Those people who may or may not realize they are doing it just as well as they may or may not understand the difference. My go is not to attack may find their self guilty of this as I have been guilty of it many times over the years. But it is a powerful revelation when you truly understand the difference. The difference between branding and marketing we'll come down to how you execute on everything. If I can sum up branding with one word it would be experience. When a consumer interacts with a business or a company what is the experience. How was the experience. What is the experience like. What do you feel about the experience. How can you define your experience. I'm using the word experience because someone has to interact with the brand other than the brand itself to testify to the brand messaging that is out in the community and media. This interaction should bring about a reality of what the company truly is. What the product truly is or what the service truly is. As a business or a company we have a tendency to call the company whatever we deem it to be. This thing I did and concept translate to our product or service. Most of the time the business has a totally different understanding and reality of who they are verses to the consumers say that they are. So now that we have considered that The Branding is the expression and experience that happens when the customer and Community interact with the company product or service we may now can come to a better understanding of why it is totally different from marketing. As we are marketing we are trying to bring the brand into the market. The market is the place where people interact to trade resources such as money for goods all services. It can also be a place where people will trade product time and attention in some form of a exchange for something else. So when we are doing marketing we are inside of the market with our brand expression. Branding vs Marketing : what is the difference We must first Define Who We Are and who we are in competition with that will allow us a unique differentiator in the marketplace. Once we can claim our brand position we can now amplify and distribute our message through media content inside of the market. Many times I have forgot this trick and hope that this can be beneficial to you. Branding vs Marketing : what is the difference Truth be told we do not need to be inside of Facebook Instagram Snapchat Pinterest xcetera as a whole period we truly need to be inside of the target market inside of those sites period it would be better to find our Market and if they are available on those platforms and figure how to network and build in that community online van to just create random pages and tried to speak to the entire online world. So to sum it up marketing is very different from branding Marketing is how we syndicate our branding. Here's how a simple mark ends up meaning something big as a great logo. Joe Posner, and Michael Bierut (designer of the Hillary Clinton logo) explain. For more from Michael Bierut on graphic design, check out his book "How to use graphic design to sell things, explain things, make things look better, make people laugh, cry, and (every once in a while) change the world": http://www.amazon.com/How-Michael-Bierut/dp/0062413902 Subscribe to our channel! http://goo.gl/0bsAjO About once a month, there's a new logo to fight about on the internet. The biggest one in recent memory was the highly controversial Hillary Clinton logo, which did not escape scrutiny from Vox.com either. But as a designer/filmmaker, something about these repeated discussions struck me as missing the point on what makes logos tick. It often has little to do with the subjective musings. So I called up Michael Bierut, the designer of that Hillary Clinton logo and countless others. He sat down with me and helped explain the elements of a great logo in the video above. The Brisbane creative team at iFactory get asked this question a lot: What is the difference between a brand, corporate identity and logo design? Many people see them as interchangeable synonyms to represent all digital and visual elements. It’s completely understandable, especially for those who don’t work in digital marketing. Corporate Identity and Branding are two concepts in marketing and identifying the difference between them is quite complex as both concepts are interconnected. However, we can distinguish them from certain parameters on the grounds of perception. The internal perception and external perception (customer view) provide clues to differentiate between these two marketing concepts. The key difference between corporate identity and branding is that corporate identity has an internal viewpoint while branding has an external viewpoint. Nowadays, many organizations spend on corporate identity to boost their branding. This includes non-governmental organizations too. Each firm might have its own specialty and should focus to highlight their strength as their appearance. This will help in a better customer perception. For example, Volvo had its specialty in heavy vehicles since their establishment in 1928. They translated this strength in making safer more durable cars which earned them a name as the safest vehicle in a customer viewpoint. With this brief, we will delve deeper into each concept. What is Corporate Identity? Corporate identity is associated with the look and feel of a business. This is an internal factor that exhibits the business to the outer world. Corporate identity can be defined as the overall image of a business entity in the minds of the diverse public, such as customers, investors, and employees. Usually, firms associate the corporate identity with branding of their products or services using trademarks. Corporate identity is often represented by a logo or a picture. For example, Volkswagen uses a circle with letters V and W. Pepsi uses a circle with three colors of red, white and blue. These logos help stakeholders to identify the company instantly. Corporate identity should possess the characteristics of being unique, easily distinguishable from the identity of other businesses, focus on product and reflecting the vision of the firm. Corporate identity is a philosophy, where the customer believes that they have its ownership as they combine attributes with corporate identity to make different perceptions. Corporate identity helps organizations to reflect their introduction and focus more easily. For example, if you see a curved red color “m”, you immediately associate it with a burger outlet run by McDonalds. Corporate identity has explicit guidelines associated with them. These guidelines govern how the identity is applied. Few examples are color palettes, typefaces and page layouts. difference between corporate identity and branding Logo of Volkswagen What is Branding? While corporate identity is all about the look and feel of a business, branding is related to emotion, trust, and reliability in the mindset of customers. Branding is all about how people feel and think about the company or simply how they perceive the organization. Branding can evoke various emotions such as confidence, trust, happiness, anger, etc. This is because of the experience associated with the organization. The corporate identity plays a role in deciding the reaction of the perceives, as corporate identity is associated with the firm to the customer experience. Branding can be defined as the external perception of stakeholders of the firm in relation to their experience with the given firm. The brand is a collective perception of various factors. The lived experience of the brand is very important. Further, advertising campaigns can play a crucial part in making the customers believe in the contents of the message which reflects the brand. If the promise can be delivered in the first interaction, the brand will have a positive effect. Branding ultimately determines whether a customer becomes loyal to a firm due to the experience – perception factor. For example, BMW can be your first car, but it is the brand (experience) that will decide whether it will be your life long choice. Key Difference Corporate identity vs. branding What is the difference between Corporate Identity and Branding? As we have a general understanding of the concepts of corporate identity and branding, let’s shift our focus towards the differences between them. Definition of Corporate Identity and Branding Corporate Identity: Corporate identity can be defined as “the overall image of a business entity in the minds of the diverse public, such as customers, investors, and employees”. Branding: Branding can be defined as “the external perception of stakeholders of the firm in relation to their experience with the given firm”.
