Enqueue WordPress Child Theme Style Sheet
https://pluginforage.com How to Enqueue a WordPress Child Theme Style Sheet If you don't know how to make a WordPress child theme you need to see this video first: https://youtu.be/WQ4JiOXXYqY We will look learn how to Enqueue a WordPress child theme: - Look at the old @import method - Create a functions.php - Enqueue the parent and child style.css Code Snippet used in the video: http://skeeterz71.com/how-to-enqueue-wordpress-child-theme-style-sheet/ For an in-depth video on how to create a child theme for WordPress, view my video "How to Create a WordPress Child Theme" Just note that you should ignore the @import method shown in that video and use the enqueue method shown in this video. The final step is to enqueue the parent and child theme stylesheets. Note that the previous method was to import the parent theme stylesheet using @import: this is no longer best practice. The correct method of enqueuing the parent theme stylesheet is to add a wp_enqueue_scripts action and use wp_enqueue_style() in your child theme's functions.php. You will therefore need to create a functions.php in your child theme directory. http://SkeeterZ71.com Video Tutorials: Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, WordPress, DNN Programming Tutorials: C, C#, C++, CSS, HTML, Java, PHP, JavaScript, jQuery

jQuery add event handler to dynamically created element
Link for all dot net and sql server video tutorial playlists https://www.youtube.com/user/kudvenkat/playlists?sort=dd&view=1 Link for slides, code samples and text version of the video http://csharp-video-tutorials.blogspot.com/2015/04/jquery-add-event-handler-to-dynamically.html In this video we will discuss, how to add event handlers to dynamically created elements. Let us understand this with an example. The following example, allows us to dynamically create new list item (li), attach a click event handler and add it to the unordered list (ul). This happens when you click "Add a New List Item" button. The problem with this approach is that we are binding a click event handler to every list item. This means if you have 500 list items, then there will be 500 event handlers in the memory and this may negatively affect the performance of your application. <html> <head> <title></title> <script src="jquery-1.11.2.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function () { $('li').on('click', function () { $(this).fadeOut(500); }); $('#btnAdd').on('click', function () { var newListItem = $('<li>New List Item</li>').on('click', function () { $(this).fadeOut(500); }); $('ul').append(newListItem); }); }); </script> </head> <body style="font-family:Arial"> <input id="btnAdd" type="button" value="Add a New List Item" /> <ul> <li>List Item</li> <li>List Item</li> </ul> </body> </html> A better way of doing the same from a performance standpoint is shown below. In this example, the click event handler is attached to the listitem (li) parent element (ul). Even if you have 500 list items, there is only one click event handler in memory. So how does this work 1. When you click on a list item (li), the event gets bubbled up to its parent (ul) as the list item (li) does not have an event handler 2. The bubbled event is handled by the the parent (ul) element, as it has a click event handler. 3. When a new list item is added dynamicaly, you don't have to add the click event handler to it. Since the newly created list item (li) is added to the same parent element (ul), the click event of this list item also gets bubbled upto the same parent and will be handled by it. <html> <head> <title></title> <script src="jquery-1.11.2.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function () { $('ul').on('click', 'li', function () { $(this).fadeOut(500); }); $('#btnAdd').on('click', function () { $('ul').append('<li>New List Item</li>'); }); }); </script> </head> <body style="font-family:Arial"> <input id="btnAdd" type="button" value="Add a New List Item" /> <ul> <li>List Item</li> <li>List Item</li> </ul> </body> </html>

Using columns for web layout - Webflow tutorial
Elements can pass typographic style information down to their children. You can set text styles on parent elements, which will cascade down, and you can override these styles on their child elements. It’s common to use this technique to set global font styles on the Body tag, to align text and other elements inside sections, and to override default link block styles. In this video, we'll show you three examples of how text style cascading works: 1. Style cascading from the body tag 2. Style cascading from the section element 3. Fixed position - Webflow CSS tutorial
The position property allows you to move elements relative to: their current place in the document (relative), a parent element (absolute), or the viewport (fixed). Here we’ll be covering fixed position. Fixed-positioned elements are completely removed from the document flow — meaning they no long touch or push other elements around them. They're pinned to the viewport, so they stay in place as the user scrolls, unlike absolute elements which are pinned to one of their parent elements. We’ll be covering these concepts in this lesson: 1. Enabling fixed position 2. Positioning values 3. Z-index And then bring it all together with an example. ---------- Get started with Webflow: https://help.webflow.com/courses/getting-started http://webflow.com http://twitter.com/webflow http://facebook.com/webflow

WordPress Responsive Theme Child Theme Update v1.9.5.1+ 2014
WordPress Responsive Theme Child Theme Update v1.9.5.1 2014. The long awaited child theme update tutorial that will help fix your broken parent or child theme. More Tips Tools and Tutorials from #allanmvm from MindVisionMedia.net Note: You don't have to copy the entire style css file to the child theme, that is just a simple way to get going for beginners and in cases when you will be modifying most of the style sheet. If you are familiar with css and getting code snippets from the parent style sheet, you can just add the sections you are modifying to the child style sheet. You may need this code to import the parent file to the child although they say you don't need it: New style css path= @import url("../responsive/core/css/style.css"); Also do NOT copy the functions php file to your child theme, just create a file named functions php and make changes to that if you want to modify the functions file.
