10 Big Companies That Were Exposed By Their Own Employees
These massive companies tried to hide some of the dirtiest secrets from the public! Subscribe for more amazing videos! ► http://bit.ly/Subscribe-to-Richest ◄ Is it possible for a company to become TOO big? A mom and pop shop, or a small company with just a few employees might follow all the rules by the book because they can't financially afford to be shady. But it seems that the bigger a company is, the more immune they become to being held accountable for their actions. Well, maybe not every big company is like this, but it is certainly becoming a huge issue in the world. Just because you work for a large company, it doesn’t mean that things are always running smoothly. For example, a big company like Amazon has been outed for not treating their employees very well. Plus, they're providing software to local authorities that might even be a violation of our privacy. Even the news station Fox News is being held accountable by a former employee for being blatantly biased. Whether it’s warehouse conditions, shady business dealings, or trying to cover up questionable actions, employees are quick to point out when a big company is in the wrong. Given that some employees sign a contract saying that they won’t reveal company secrets, they are risking so much in coming forward. They could be faced with lawsuits or lose their jobs. The next time you decide to give your money to a store, or watch a certain TV show, you might want to reconsider who you give your time and money too. Luckily, a few of these companies have actually changed their behavior because of the whistleblowers. But there are others who've simply swept the issue under the rug instead of trying to fix it. Hopefully, if things don’t change, there will be more employees who will expose these behaviors and will pioneer a time of change. Check out this video to find out which big companies are shadier than you think! Check out these other awesome videos from TheRichest! To rank the largest companies in consumption in the world, is considered the main source of information that denotes how much the company is producing, ie revenue. The company's revenue goes a long way in showing their strength in the industry. Furthermore, it is also considered the total number of employees employed by each company. The recipe is based on the report prepared by OC & C Strategy Consultants, while Forbes helped to determine the number of employees employed by each company. Of course, income is a much more important indicator of the size of a company, which is the reason assignment 70% weight, while determining the rankings with the remaining 30% being allocated to the number of employees. Magazine Capacity California - USA Oil Production Surge
Federal judge blocks high-capacity ammunition ban in California High-capacity gun magazines will remain legal in California under a ruling Friday by a federal judge who cited home invasions where a woman used the extra bullets in her weapon to kill an attacker while in two other cases women without additional ammunition ran out of bullets. “Individual liberty and freedom are not outmoded concepts,” San Diego-based U.S. District Judge Roger Benitez wrote as he declared unconstitutional the law that would have banned possessing any magazines holding more than 10 bullets. https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2019/03/30/california-judge-high-capacity-gun-ammunition-magazines/3318916002/ Police chiefs’ group welcomes Donald Trump’s ‘unwavering’ support Cops across the country felt the love yesterday as President Trump proclaimed his administration’s support for police at the annual International Association of Chiefs of Police conference in Orlando, Fla. “I want to express my gratitude for what you do every day, protecting our communities, our families, our streets and taking down crime,” Trump told the crowd of nearly 3,000 top police officials yesterday. “What you do is keep America safe and no one does that better than you. “My administration always honors, cherishes and supports the men and women in blue,” Trump said. Arlington police Chief Fred Ryan said the outspoken support comes at a critical time. “Scrutiny that municipal law enforcement has been under in the last few years has caused challenges with hiring, recruitment and retention,” Ryan told the Herald. “So any support from the corner office is helpful … and that is an easy answer, this administration has been unwavering in its support.” https://www.bostonherald.com/2018/10/09/police-chiefs-group-welcomes-donald-trumps-unwavering-support/ A deafening silence from Trudeau on solving Canada's oil-price crisis If Prime Minister Justin Trudeau thought he was going to curry favour by visiting the heart of the oil industry Thursday, touting tax changes to make Canadian industry more competitive, he was deeply mistaken. The oilpatch is demanding specific answers from Ottawa. Energy officials want to know how Trudeau, along with the provincial government, will fix the massive discount pounding Canadian oil prices because of a lack of pipeline capacity in the country. The Notley government is also disappointed. It hasn’t been told if Trudeau’s government will help bankroll the purchase of new locomotives to increase oil-by-rail shipments out of Alberta. https://calgaryherald.com/business/energy/varcoe-a-deafening-silence-from-trudeau-on-solving-canadas-oil-price-crisis US oil production surges to new record Please use the sharing tools found via the share button at the top or side of articles. The record 11.475m barrels per day that oil companies pumped in September was 1.98m b/d higher than in September 2017, the US government said on Friday. Every business owner knows that in order to be successful, one must constantly invest in their company. As the company grows larger and more efficient, the services and products offered become more sought after. If the company becomes massive, they develop the power to influence market price, run competition out of business or not allow competitors to emerge altogether. 10-11 Pumps. I kid you not. Thats what you'll need to use. On your face. Thats insane. That means one bottle will last you 30 days. Remember that SPF is the single most important thing to protect your skin but please do not rely on your foundation for protection. Because you won't be apply enough. The recommend about is 1.2323 mL for your face and neck. However some research states that .50ml is enough. Even if that is the case that is still 4-5 pumps of foundation. Which is still a massive amount. BIGGEST Social Media Fails By Companies
The worst and biggest social media fails by companies! These are the most cringeworthy brand mistakes and corporate advertising blunders to blow up online. From skin-tone swapping soap ads to women’s tortilla chips, today we look at 8 of the BIGGEST Social Media Fails By Companies. #8 Adidas Boston Survival Time heals all wounds, but in the case of the 2017 Boston Marathon, it hadn’t been nearly long enough for the phrasing Adidas used in a post-race email. Sent from Adidas to participants after the 121st annual race, the email read “Congrats, you survived the Boston Marathon!” Though seemingly innocuous out of context, this message came only 4 years after the tragic events that left more than 260 people injured. This use of “survived” would immediately spark an online uproar as recipients began posting screenshots of the email title across Twitter. A spokesman for Adidas would go on to tell TIME magazine, “We are incredibly sorry. Clearly, there was no thought given to the insensitive email subject line(...).” Adidas apologized for the mistake, recognizing the Boston Marathon as “one of the most inspirational” events across the globe and a beacon of “hope and resiliency.” In the long run, this gaffe wouldn’t harm Adidas’ relationship with the event as they continue to be one of the top four sponsors of the Boston Marathon. #7 United Airlines in 2017 When it comes to corporate advertising on social media, there’s a chance that one poor choice will have repercussions as limited as an hour of public backlash. Or it can go the exact opposite direction as it did for United Airlines in 2017. On April 9, aboard a flight chartered from Chicago to Louisville, Kentucky, the airline surprised passengers with the announcement that some customers would need to catch a later flight...to make room for more United employees. The flight was overbooked and no volunteers presented themselves, so the crew decided to attempt selecting which customers would need to find a later flight on their own. Upon learning of this decision, 69-year-old Elizabethtown resident Dr. David Dao refused to give up his seat. In response, the flight crew called law enforcement to forcibly remove the passenger, an occurrence that has since gone viral via Facebook and other platforms. The video itself features a graphic struggle as two to three security officers in blue jeans yank and drag the elderly doctor out of his seat and along the aisle of the plane, in open view of the rest of the cabin. While it is important to note that the security officers here worked for the Chicago Department of Aviation, this scene of helplessness and apparent victimization would begin a year of issues for United Airlines. From then on, what may normally have been a slight shower of customer complaints turned into a torrential downpour as new tales of terrible service became more ostentatious and article-worthy. Everything from being stung by a scorpion to the tragic loss of pets, from destroying wheelchairs to stealing $1000-seats from toddlers, the stories revolving around flying with United have become less like a Yelp review and more fitting to tell around the campfire. Despite these issues, though, United Airlines continues to survive with a relatively quiet year in 2018.

Building One of the Largest Adventure Travel Companies in the World with Darrell Wade of Intrepid Tr
Foundr Magazine Podcast EP074: Building One of the Largest Adventure Travel Companies in the World with Darrell Wade of Intrepid Travel Anyone can have a great idea, any entrepreneur can get lucky and make it big, but it takes something really special to turn your startup into something that lasts. For the past 27 years that’s exactly what Darrell Wade has done with IntrepidTravel. It all started in 1988 when two friends went on a trip to Africa and came back with an idea, something that would revolutionize the travel industry forever. Despite the lack of confidence from the banks and everyone telling them otherwise, Wade and his cofounder knew that there was a market being underserviced out there. So channeling his own passion for traveling, he created a startup where, for more than four years, his salary was only a third of his previous job. Since then, IntrepidTravel has turned into a $300 million business and has successfully transported 350,000 travelers around the globe in the previous year alone! Despite hardships, Wade vigorously reinvested back into his business, focusing on building the best product he could possibly offer, and creating a company with staying power to support it all. Today IntrepidTravel is one of the premiere travel agencies in the world and it all started with a passion and desire to change. ________________________________________________________________________________________________ ✅ Subscribe to our FREE Podcast on iTunes for more episodes: https://foundr.com/cast ✅ Visit http://foundr.com/ for more epic content on showing you what it takes to build and grow a successful business ✅ Subscribe to the Foundr channel here: https://www.youtube.com/foundr?sub_confirmation=1 ✅ Subscribe to Foundr's Weekly Newsletter for exclusive content here: http://foundr.com/newsletter ✅ Get FREE Printed Branson edition: http://www.foundr.com/freemagazine ________________________________________________________________________________________ Foundr is the go-to digital resource for the growing ranks of craft, self-made entrepreneurs – at every level of experience. 10 mistakes game companies probably regret by now. Decisions made in board rooms aren’t always well received by gamers. Remember when Nintendo launched the Nintendo 3DS? There were no major Nintendo games available. And do you remember when Capcom put the DLC for one of their games on disc? Game companies sure have made some mistakes over the years, but often things turn out okay in the end. However, here are ten mistakes they probably regret by now. ▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓ ZOOMINGAMES ON SOCIAL MEDIA ► Merchandise - http://shop.zoomin.tv/#/ZoominGamesShop ► Twitter - http://www.twitter.com/zoomingames ► Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/zoomingames ► Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/zoomingames.ig ► Discord - https://discord.gg/3xzSxEa ► Twitch - http://www.twitch.tv/zoomintvgames ▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓ CREDITS Music provided by Epidemic Sound: http://www.epidemicsound.com/youtube-creator-subscription/

With many powerful companies moving their labour overseas to exploit cheaper, less strict labour laws, the very real problem of slavery is huge . While countries like India (14 million) China (3 million) and Thailand (.473 million) rank amongst the highest offenders, it is estimated that even in the US there are about 60,000 slaves! Watch as SUPERLATIVES takes a look at 5 Famous MAJOR Companies That Use Slavery. 1. COTTON Picking forced on civilians by Uzbekistan. Forever 21, H&M, Toys R Us and Urban Outfitters. Oil and gas companies are facing major technological disruption
Pressure to reduce carbon emissions is putting the future of fossil fuel giants in jeopardy. Their survival plans involve carbon storage and floating wind farms. Meanwhile, one small German village is showing how large companies aren't always essential. Click here to subscribe to The Economist on YouTube: http://econ.trib.al/rWl91R7 Over 80% of the world's energy needs are provided by coal, oil and gas. Although technologies to extract fossil fuels may have changed over the decades, the core products themselves have never been challenged. Until now. Pressure to reduce carbon emissions is putting the future of fossil fuel giants in jeopardy. Encouraging the growth of alternative methods to generate and distribute power. In just eight years, the value of the world's biggest power companies has halved. Leaving industry giants scrambling to redefine their role in this new energy world. Across the world, old industries are facing disruption on an unprecedented scale. The pressure to adapt has never been greater. Known as the Paris Accord, 195 countries agreed to a legally binding climate deal to reduce carbon emissions. This 5 trillion dollar industry may be facing a seismic shift but that doesn't mean it's ready to ditch the dirty fossil fuels that made it rich. Instead, many companies are banking on new methods to clean up an old process. Norwegian oil and gas giant, Statoil, struck it rich in the North Sea in the late 1960s. Over four decades later, at its Sleipner gas rig, the company is attempting to make fossil fuel production cleaner. Statoil's business still relies on the harmful burning of fossil fuels by its customers but at least the company is trying to reduce its own carbon footprint. It's transformed some of its offshore rigs with technology that enables engineers to separate the carbon dioxide and pump it underground. Statoil's Sleipner gas rig is the world's first offshore carbon capture storage plant. Each year, Statoil stores 1 million tonnes of CO2 making extraction less carbon intensive. They believe that prioritising gas over more harmful fossil fuels will further reduce global warming and keep them relevant for decades to come. Wind and solar are cleaner but depend on subsidies. To take on the consistency of fossil fuels they face a huge challenge - The unpredictable weather. In Bavaria, a tiny village has used those subsidies to take up the challenge. This community believes it's found a way to produce a steady energy supply just from renewable sources, raising the real prospect of a future free from fossil fuels. Norbert and Kristina Bechteler's family farm has been providing the local community with dairy products for over 200 years but they now have a new income from solar energy. Producing your own energy with solar panels isn't revolutionary but in this village, they're combining solar with other renewables in an attempt to achieve the Holy Grail of a steady energy supply. And they're prepared to use anything to do it. The Deputy Mayor has helped drive the village's pioneering efforts to make renewable energy a realistic option. There's one renewable that never disappears as it can be sourced from the decay of virtually any organic matter and it's called biogas. Of the four biogas plants in the village, Farmer Einsiedler runs the largest. Combining these different sources has been so successful the village now generates five times more energy than it needs. But that is just part of the challenge of turning renewables into a credible energy supply.
